They wait for mom to step away and fly over and grab them. You can hear the poor things screaming all the way. So I started throwing rocks at them when they would do it. I couldnt be around forever tho. They are smarr.

    • @bardmadsen6956

@Frosti80 - The contrast is interesting, urban and rural crows. Just saw a vehicle/crow video for cracking nuts. I live above the 45th parallel with few neighbors, and saw a crow/raven (both are larger than average around here) ripping up the garbage bag through the glass of the front door. Without thinking I jumped outside screaming and arms up high that freaked it out, ten years later the crows never touch anyone's garbage in the area, even out by the county road. Knocked down all barn swallow nests once and they never came back. Animals are smarter than most even come close to believing. It is common to find bear excrement twenty feet from the door and I walk between buildings in the pitch black often and never worry about it till now after watching Alien, Aliens, and Aliens 3 in a row. I'm convinced that they can pass down information and often wonder what I could feed them to change my reputation.

stray dog a beagle pup showed up in the neighborhood, starving and weak ,she would not allow anyone near her .
i named her shilo and made it my mission to try to tame her .one morning i noticed a crow taking bits of bread with peanut butter to the puppy ,so i began to put food out in the birdfeeder for the crow to feed her . the crow would arrive every morning and make all kinds of noise for me to bring food out as soon as i did it would take bits of it the puppy who would hide in the woods waiting after weeks of this the puppy began to look healthier .so i began take bowls of dogfood and placing it around in the woods while the crow watched as soon as i went inside ,here comes the crow with her puppy this to went on for weeks ,one day while out walking my dog we came face to face within feet of shilo ,we all stopped in our tracks . when my dog Toby made a gesture toward shilo she began to run in circles around him wanting to play but Toby was leashed so she ran in and around us until the crow called to her and she ran away ,next morning she was waiting ,this too went on for weeks .shilo fell in love with Toby .people in the neighborhood would stop and ask about her it seems the crow took her to many places through out the day .
i cooked fried chicken and sat outside to eat it while giving some to Toby i see shilo inching ever nearer until she came close enough to offer it to her ,and she came and ate from my hand .but she always returned to the woods as soon as she would hear her crow sound the alarm ,every morning she would wait in the yard her and the crow she now had many people along our neighborhood of horse farms setting out food for them ,she grew to be quite healthy but never became truly tame .
now when i hear the song shilo i think of this little beagle and her mom the crow and how much we love them both and how the crow took such good care of her baby the beagle .

    Lovely.
I witnessed a Crow repeatedly defend his/her Pigeon friends from a Greater Blackbacked Gull, last Summer, in London.
The friends would congregate, every day, in the schoolyard across from my house.
The Crow happily mingled with the Pigeons.
One day, a Greater Blackbacked Gull appeared. It attacked and killed two of the gentle Pigeons.
Three days later the Gull returned and lunged at another Pigeon.
This time the Crow zoomed, full-tilt, at the Gull and wouldn't stop until it left... The Crow would even sneak up behind the Gull and pluck at its tail feathers, again and again.
I really feared for the Crow.
After that, the Crow would cry out and circle the schoolyard whenever the Gull appeared.
It refused to stop until the Gull had flown away.
Then it would saunter around with its Pigeon friends, peacefully...
    Brave and loyal Crow.
    😘💕🕊️

What a load of nonsense. So some people are bad and that somehow nullifies all of the good and selfless things human beings do? Because you seen a video of 1 confused crow and 1 confused cat and decided to ignore all of the birds and cats that eat their babies or just abandon them? This bird and this cat represent all birds and cats, and the bad person you're thinking of represents all human beings? This video doesn't say anything about humans, birds or cats that could cause anyone with any sense to judge any of the 3 species.

I was wondering what was wrong with me. Lol now I find out I'm just normal a raven without feathers! Thank you for that insightful information
Scientists are completing such informative research that animals are a lot more capable than we thought. Many species can reason, create tools, Etc. They have feelings, emotions, and they remember us from long periods of separation which people didn't believe they could. I had a cockatiel who knew to ask the question if he hadn't seen someone in a day, How are you? How did he learn to say it correctly? If you didn't say I"m fine bird! He would keep asking until you answered him properly. So somehow he was trained to understand that question I was his third and last companion. On average a cockatiel goes thru three sets of relationships. He definitely thought I was his girlfriend as you want them to tie into you. They're usually a one-person bird. he would sucker my poor husband into thinking oh the bird likes me now and getting on my husband shoulder and my husband would be talking and petting him and then he would attack my husband's ears or nose or something because my husband wasn't supposed to be talking to me. It was so funny I loved that silly bird he lived to be 21 years of age. I had him in my store and people would come just to see the bird like they came just to see the dog.

I'm a 67yr old grandma and have done this all my life. I am Australian and live in a small country town where we have heaps of different birds, especially big flocks of Major Mitchell Cockatoos 🐓 and every afternoon around 3-4pm and every morning about 7-8am a big flock lands in our front yard or will tap on the windows asking to get fed with sunflower seeds and bread which we buy especially for them and sometimes, some pidgeons will fly in to join the party 😂 They even land on our shoulders and arms when we go out the front to answer their call, and then, allowing us to hand fed them ☺. They bring their young ones to proudly show them off. When we drive from home to the next suburb, the whole flock has flown above our car as an escort for us! They are one of the most GORGEOUS creatures custom made by our Loving Father in Heaven. I have other WONDERFUL stories of my experiences with wildlife and also my sister's experiences which are incredible as she is a dog psychologist and trainer. I'd love to be able to sit down and tell you our experiences but can't do it here as it would turn into a book lol

Yeah it must be tough when low on proteins or some of you are really good at recipes, because I found when avoiding meat, or heavier meats like beef, I couldn't get enough and felt weak even following recipes. Didn't matter short term or long term, I was weak or sick. Very little meat at times but I never could substitute enough items no matter the pages or recipes found. Plus, I believe, it's Vegan attitudes I cared less about after seeing comments attacking others over food or even politics. Nastiest if not strangest people online was common on FB within those pages even the nicer page I found, ended up same. So I was under drs orders last year to try Paleo. It's close to some diets which worked and I had great results when strict for six months so think will try it when budgeting. I got off diet when hurt all over as if square one after an attack during crime had been hurt and money was so low I bought the cheapest things meaning anything found less priced. Anytime I go astray from drs orders...and at one point I'd already been close to Paleo on my own without researching what it was, I tend to regain the weight gained post initial crime. Lol. Can't win. But, Psychology classes and textbooks I'd joked I'd love to rip out pages saying anthropomorphic gist and animals don't think. One instructor especially seemed to never been around animals, included, if could have her actually ever have taken care if an animal.

They are very territorial, we had a coven? Of crows chase the Hawks out of our yard when we had cats, and they stay together very dedicated until a company took the 9 acres from our west side and all the trees. We lost our crows and we had them for 20 yrs. Great smart birds.

What a fantastic video ! Who what thought a bird and a cat would be so close ? That crow is a hero .
