Wei Koh must have been a busy, busy bee these last few days. So much awesome and informative content with the people behind the brands. I've watched all the Revolution interviews w each brand and amvassador they've all been awesome.
Especially liked the part when Wei pulled the crown. You can see that it is a free-sprung balance without a regulator. It keeps accuracy with the balance not regulating hairspring. Along with the high frequency, this watch will win an award for sure.
The 9SA5 movement runs at 36000 vibrations per second, but because of the constant-force where the energy of the spring is limited, this T0 runs at 28800. At this rate the stop second is difficult to achieve, and 28800 vibrations per hour means the escapement ticks 8 times per second. He described a 16th note feel means there is an added sound of the constant-force impact every second, with a special stop wheel to regulate the timing and produce the sound. This movement is an engineering marvel!
I’m so glad they finally made something modern, unique, and top quality. Their quality is always good but usually their watches are either boring or a bit ugly. They went all out on this 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥 GS - a brand that is really innovative while another brand gives us an upside down backwards watch and a few more colors on existing designs and call it a day…!!!
1st to see this amazing piece, But waiting for 1080 version to be up! OMG!!! this is the king of W&W2022. OMG my balls shrunk when the watch almost slipped off the holder 🤣
@@bdegrds thanks for replying fellow watch enthusiasts, I was referring to the GS Kodo, the innovation and how amazing it looks. I like other watches as well but thr Kodo is my winner. ahaha yeah the JLC Hybris looks amazing and the PP 5326 calender looks great but sharks It reminded me of the Seiko SARY183 dial 🤣 Great releases this year, not forgetting the Green Gold Omega Speedy and the MoonSwatches

Truly love these watches and the company but they've got to do something about the name IMO. You don't see Audi called Grand Volkswagen or Lexus called the Grand Toyota. Fairly certain they wouldn't sell nearly as well. Just one person's opinion.
@@JoeCJK This is a limited time piece with an impeccable standard and engineering. They are not for the majority who desires a super premium. Imagine VC or ALS or Patek makes this model. They would price it atleast 2 times of what GS does.
i have never wanted to win the lottery more than right now...just for that GS tourbillon (irresponsible to use lottery winnings on a $350k watch kids. don't use this as advice LOL better to save it but lottery is the only way I can afford that tourbillon at this point)
Perhaps Seiko had just co-developed, revolutionaize an Old Swiss Movement to a modern engineered robust movement. according to the history of seiko that wikipedia describes Kintarō Hattori developed a close partnership with multiple foreign trading firms, including the likes of C&J Favre-Brandt, F. Perregaux & Co., Zanuti & Cie. and Siber & Brennwald, allowing him to obtain exclusive imported timepieces and machinery... then the Torque-Zero adopted those old movements creating a sophisticated enforcement of mechanical-quartz simultaneously in one.
The technical expertise I don't contest it, I am a big GS lover, I own a GS watch but the design just look like another boring ultra expensive Swiss watch
Grand Seiko is honestly a GOAT brand. So much creativity and engineering.
GOAT?

That KODO is probably in the top 5 most beautiful watches I've seen. Amazing watch

As a drummer when I heard 16th notes I definitely looked up. I love it!
To me this tourbillion is the best thing that came from all of watches and wonders
That's why it's so expensive
Beautiful Tourbillon. My heart stopped when the watch almost fell from the stand:) love it. Thank you for the amazing content.
I thought it was definitely about to be his last interview 😅

Wow and Wei you're so cool you didn't flinch when you nearly knocked the Kodo off the stand 😂👍🏻
That was so terrifying!
He's been there before with even more expensive watches I suspect!
@R He is noticeably cocky and obnoxious. Just like a good dive watch, very tool-like. But I'm sure he has a good side.
Grand Seiko makes watches, and they grind, and improve every time. It's amazing.
How do you know what Rob looks like without the shirt?… 🤔🤔. J/K… great job as always Wei.

I loved the watch as a Grand Seiko creation at first. But after seeing the $350k price tag, I think that they have lost the plot.
they only make 20 pieces which pretty much tells you how much effort they have to put to make this watch.
Paying $350k for a Seiko is just crazy though.
What plot. What's stopping them from making $350k watch. Seiko can make a watch at any price bracket. That's the point.
@@_._ajmal The plot used to be that Grand Seiko makes watches of great value relative to the price point.
