Hi Ed. I though for years they would not work either. One came on sale for $ 90..00 so I bough it. I have helped several people with it over the years. I have it in my truck and after testing it over a year it was still at full charge. I recommend every vehicle should have one. Makes a good gift also.
Iv got one and so far iv used 6times and each time it start right away and no boost needed, and I am still on 4 light on battery indicator, I really impressed with it and my car is a 2012 1.6 liter diesel engine, so far so good
Hi Ed! That’s a pretty impressive power pack! I’ve been thinking of getting one, so I might have to pull the trigger and get one. Thanks for doing such a good review of the GooLoo!
Great video Ed.. I have had a few offers to collaborate with companies selling battery boosters as well but none of them were interesting to me. This one is quite different. It's compact and it seems to work really well. We were camping this summer and one of the kids left my truck door open for several hours killing the battery. I have jumper cables and asked someone for a jump start. He pulled out one of these units (different brand) and it started right up. Very impressive.
The smart jumper cable has an Over-start Protection function. If you start the vehicle continuously for more than 4 times within 2 minutes, the jumper cable will turn into Over-start Protection (Green and Red light on the jumper cable will blink alternately), meanwhile, there will be no output of battery clamps. you can disconnect the jumper cable plug from the jumper starter, the Over-start Protection will be removed.
I have had this exact jump pack for several years now if memory serves me right…I can say without hesitation that it’s been a great investment. Hell, once I even used it to flash one of my generators that had lost its ability to produce power, having been sat for a long time without using it. This GooLoo is legitimate, I even bought one for my uncle who was impressed by its capabilities once when we needed to use it on an old ATV a while back. I would highly recommend this one specifically (or any other GooLoo jump pack, really.)
I love when people review items. This was a great review and I hope you do more of what people can use. This a great product to keep in your car or truck to save a service call. Thanks Ed.
Funny how I didn’t need to watch this video as I have/use Noco jump packs and agree with how extremely convenient they are but I enjoy watching your all your content and look forward to each episode!
You were a BRAVER man than me to connect that charger to your Jeep BACKWARDS, reversing the polarity! With all of today's computer technology and the chips that are installed in vehicles, the risk is just too great. Lucky for you that the GOOLOO worked as it should!!! Go video!
I've looked at a jump pack several times. I keep going back and telling myself that I can use jumper cables or battery charger. One of these days I'm going to be in a spot where neither will reach. Great video.
Nice review Ed! Just a tidbit advice for good practice. When connecting jumper cables, positive first, negative second. When disconnecting its reverse..negative first, positive second. This was more so in days of old where the negative jumper would be connected to a ground source AWAY from the battery…such as the engine block or frame. If a spark was to occur when “completing” the circuit, the spark would occur away from the battery. Something instilled into me way back in my high school auto class. Thumbs up everyone 👍👍
Great honest review. Thanks Ed. I always look forward to watching your content. You just reminded me to charge the one in my truck. It's several years old so I should also load test it too. It may need to be replaced. 😆 Thanks Ed. Dan
I have a big booster, but thought it would be handy to have a glove box size one. Well it didn't start my 2019 Hybrid ford fusion. Returned it to the store. I'm now skeptical of these little things, might give one a try again some day. Looks like you had good luck with it.
These things are pretty useful. Gotta be careful storing them in a cold vehicle but otherwise they are awesome. Mine recently died so I need to replace it.
Great review Ed. I have a similar unit (NOCO GB40) and I love it. These things are very impressive for their size. I really like that flashing green "boost indicator" light on the GooLoo...that's a great feature. Also, I expect there's a Best Actor nomination in your future...
Additionally to your review, it should be noted that not only did you get a red light when cross connected, but an extremely high pitched tone to ensure you were aware of the error! Great detail! My question is, how long will it hold a charge if unused? Does temperatures impact performance? It sure beats jumper cables now doesn’t it?!?!👍🏻👊🏻
Boost is only when the battery has absolutely no charge. When there’s no charge at all the jumper can’t recognise it. The boost is more of an over ride button.
All in the name of science (and content)! I think if you did this often and for long time it could damage the battery. But I don't think this short test will affect it. I hope!
The light was solid green, when you jumped the tractor.... you did not need the boost button. Why would Gooloo have someone who does not read the directions test their product?
Because I’m working Monday nights again and because the Irish luck my ancestors brought over wore off generations ago, I just went and BOUGHT one!😖 Here’s crazy…the yellow one, is about 25.00 MORE than the orange one!!🤪 AND, gooloo offers a 20.00 discount at time of purchase so that pretty much paid for the 3 year warranty I picked up with it. So yea, it’s going in my wife’s car. I keep a fully charged truck battery in a sealed box in the bed of my truck and my cables easily reach so, if something goes awry, I just jump myself! ( that doesn’t sound right does it?😎🤦🏻♂️)
Good day Sir, I'm listening about your secret message Sir ( 🤭). Ok it is a date, see you next monday 😇👍 Thank you Ed 😇👍Ed, you need to investigate why that battery went out Sir on your tractor 🤔🧐👍What Sir, the Jeep is also Kaput 🤣👍You have a cold Case Of Batteries getting kill at your property Sir 🤔🤣👍Now time to charge up all these batteries 👍👍🤔🤔🤣🤣 OUTSTANDING Informative videos Ed Cheers 🍻🍻
a jeep liberty does not count for jump starting. that pos could be jump started from a triple A battery...... I bet the dealership was laughing you out the door when you bought that wreck.
Thanks for watching the video. We bought the Liberty from a neighbor dirt cheap and used it for several years. Then we gave it to a friend who needed a car. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, LOL. I now have a Jeep Wrangler that you will probably also hate because it has a four-cylinder. I made a few videos about it. Thanks for the comment. I get it. I try to limit product reviews to items that I think people will appreciate. I turn down 99% of product offers. I hope that my product reviews offer real life examples and answer questions that people have. If something is junk, I'll tell you! Happy new year! -Ed

I was nervous! Thanks for watching.
Jesus...there was reversed polarity protection built-in. Dummy proof.
Well, the Ferry system in Washington State uses them. And they can’t fool around, with tight schedules...

Hi Kevin. For a quick jump, you can't beat the convenience.
Nice job on demo Ed. I have a similar unit to start a Diesel motor home and am impressed every time I need to use it.
Thanks David. It’s crazy impressive!
Very informative review and test...keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!

Thanks Jim. Great advice! I don't know if that applies to these units but it's a good practice!

Then in no way it was this jump starter. Even the 1500 can jump start your car even without his own 12v battery.
This looks like a great product, I have never used one of these before but it appears to work really well. Thanks for the review
It's pretty impressive. Thanks for watching, GTB!
These things are pretty useful. Gotta be careful storing them in a cold vehicle but otherwise they are awesome. Mine recently died so I need to replace it.
That makes sense. Thanks!
Nice review brother.
Had my eye on them for a while but was on the fence til now.
Edit: I cringed too at the wrong polarity
Haha, thanks!
Great review Ed. Yep like mine, different brand but looks the same. Thanks see ya Monday 👍✊
Thanks Bob!
Shhhhhh, I heard a secret! Sweet deal Ed, see you Monday as always. 👍🚜🇺🇸🇨🇦
Nice product, I'll be sure to check these out. Thanks for the excellent review.
Thanks Ross!

Thanks George!

According the instructions, they recommend charging it after 2 months. Not bad.
I think I have the same jump pack under a different brand name. I really like it.
Many do look similar!

Love my GOOLOO!

Hi Eddie, ok now I want one for everyone who owns a car!!!! Thank you for the youtube. How much is one?????
Thank you, Margaret. They cost about $200.
Okay maybe I won't buy one for everyone who has a car!!! But I will win one at your 16 Jan livestream!!!!

You don't need to press any button.....
Unless the voltage in your battery is too low to be detected by the gooloo, then you need to press the boost button.
This guy has a jeep liberty.......... you are really going to trust his review?
lmao.... 0:20 is your "JEEP".... That is not a jeep... that is a rolling pos that is not capable of off-road.
