Oh Joe you just melt our hearts! Sweet as can be. I admire you so much ! I’ve learned so much from you! I made pie crust yesterday for a chocolate silk pie, but I have failed Numerous pie crusts in the past and hadn’t tried in years!!! But after watching your pie videos back to back I actually felt capable And it came out BEAUTIFULLY! Your tips and advice is so appreciated. Be well!
I love watching you and your family! We also love the amish noodles, I make chicken and noodles, chicken noodles soup, beef and noodles and sometimes just butter noodles with them. I also have a big family. 2 girls 3 boys all grown and married ,5 grandsons.... so that makes for big dinners! I love that you make real food
Jennifer, I love the commoradery of your family. I think it's so nice that your kitchen is truly the heart that brings everyone together and I can't help but smile when I see all that love.♥️🌻
Jennifer I freeze my chicken sausage gumbo soup in a zip lock bag which I let it lie flat on a cookie sheet. Takes a lot less room and I also use my canning jars to freeze it in....i freeze my fully cooked rice in quart size bags and we love it because it is. So easy to use. Makes great fried rice too.
I'm thrilled to say I watched this video while cutting up some of the meat from the 2nd deer my husband has brought us so far. Hope your family is having a successful deer season too! I happened to check beef prices at my local Kroger the other day and can't believe how expensive it's getting!
Hi Jennifer... I just came adresse your channel. You have a lovely family. I live a totaly different life in Denmark, so very interesting to see another way of living.
If you haven’t heard of Souper Cubes look them up, you can freeze things in 1 cup blocks. I also have the bigger size which are perfect for freezing portions of casserole, shepherds pie, etc. the one cup size I use for broth, soup, stuff like that. I also have a silicone ice cube tray I use to freeze extra pesto, pizza sauce or marinara (perfect amount for my kids lunches!), stuff like that. I love them!
I'm enjoying your channel a lot I like the real food cooking videos that you make real daily life and yes sometimes you need corn dogs for a fill in and yes sometimes there are technical difficulties, I'm having them with my phone right now. Peace and blessing you all
thank you for the great recipes! You always seem to help motivate me when I get in a slump in the kitchen. I love to cook so much and feed my family something good! You are such an inspiraitons! Thank you!
I'm so glad you stay real. When I have a refrigerator event like you describe, I worry that something is wrong with me, but hearing your adventure keeps that idea in check. LOL
That soup looks dilicious. And to do it in a cup, let it freese and than do it in a big, is a good idea.... greetings from the far Netherlands, Marith.......😊👍🏻😋
Several years ago I found a recipe for deep dish cast iron pizza. Make the pizza in the pan first, then put it on top the stove to get it started for 10-15 minutes to heat up the pan and crisp the crust, then into the very hot oven. No burning your fingers trying to stretch the dough and it doesn't cool down while you are getting it ready. One try like this and we were hooked. We had your savory chicken sandwiches today and really liked it. PS- I sure do miss MOPS. I have many fond memories of those years.
Jennifer , you are by far my favorite UA-cam! I have grown you love your family and look forward to every video. I have purchased your cookbook and look forward to the second one. Is that in the works?
Ok, I want some of everything you cooked. My or my what some delicious looking food! Loved seeing Joe help out in the kitchen. Wow, Sam is getting more handsome than ever with his neatly trimmed facial hair. No worries about not seeing the finished product of the pumpkin bars. They looked so yummy going in the oven, I can use my imagination on the final product and taste!
I always make my pizzas in my cast iron skillet. I lightly oil the pan, no preheating necessary. Add my dough, add sauce and toppings then right into a preheated 475 degree oven. Bake about 18 minutes, perfect every time. I put it on my lowest oven rack.
So thrilled to see sweet Joe!! He is a delight, as a mom of special blessing, I truly know how precious they are...girl, I gotta drag my cast iron out for something other than. Fried chicken
I have screens (like they use at Domino's) pizza pans etc but the best pizza is from my cast iron skillet. I oil it first and put it into the hot oven while I stretch the dough and then (carefully because the pan is screaming hot) put it in and top as usual. Helps the crust get a head start so it comes out nicely browned. After its topped I run just a small drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of herbs on the outer edge to flavor the crust, very yummy! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for mentioning cranberries dipped in caramel as a snack, in past videos. Finally bought some fresh cranberries at Aldi and tried it. Delicious! 😊
Hi Jennifer. Everything looks great. The stuffed pepper dish and balsamic chicken look really good. Ha~ I have always used a paper towel with tongs to get the grease out then put right into the trash can. Works great 🤗.
The pizzas I know we're probably so good! My family loves it when I make pizza that way too. Pumpkin bars!! Thank you for the idea girlfriend!! My family is only so, so on pumpkin pie, but they love pumpkin bars. I think I will make those instead! That soup looked very yummy as well.😋🍲
I enjoy the cast iron pizza recipe that King Arthur has with an overnight dough. One thing I learned from there is to put the cheese down and then the sauce on top. It keeps the crust from being soggy. When I use my regular dough that I make the same day, I preheat the oven to 450, oil the cold skillet with a good glug or two, lay in the dough, top with cheese, sauce, and toppings, and then bake 18-20 minutes. No need to prebake the crust.
The Pizza looked so good I am going to try in my cast iron skillet. Sweet Joe so nice seeing his smiling face an helping his mom out. Take care. I enjoyed your video.
I signed up for Ibotta through your link before Thanksgiving. I sure hope you get credit for the referral, Jennifer. Thank you, and God bless you and your family.
I scoop out most of the grease first with a spoon and then use the paper towel to get the last bit. I have even used the turkey baster to suck up the grease and then put it in a coffee cup once it cools I throw it away.
Pizzas look great. I love toasty cheese. Yum! Two bucks down here in Kentucky. Our family is done hunting, that's all we need for our family. We only take what we need, & leave the rest. Good luck with your hunt's this year. I love cold pizza, & cold chicken, too.
I want to make that soup. No one in my familyikes soup, but me. I love the cup freezer trick. I might try it with this soup. We have been making cast iron pan pizza the last few fridays. I add garlic and onion powder, salt, pepper to my dough. The crust as you made it, in the hot lan with oil, is what we have been doing. It is delicious. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
All those looked very good. It has been ages since I've made a pizza in my cast iron...I used the Jenny Jones recipe from here on YT. Thank you for all the cooking inspiration and for sharing your kids helping out in the kitchen, that is sweet. I'm guilty of buying the flour/oil spray cans but for my gluten free cooking I keep a mixture of Crisco, vegetable oil and all purpose gluten free flour in the fridge and brush it on my pans when I'm baking for my daughter who has Celiac. Thank you for the awesome video, Jennifer.
I make this soup with either peppers or cabbage and use cauliflower rice instead of white rice. Cauliflower rice in my opinion freezes better than white rice. Bonus it's low carb.
All dinners looked yummy, It’s nice to see joe helping out in the kitchen, Sam is becoming a very handsome young man. You have all good kids, good job.🥰❤️🦋
Love rewatching your older videos!❤
Maria is very teachable. What a sweetheart!!
I love how there is always a child wanting to help in the kitchen. Learning so much from their mama 🥰
Watching your videos just make me feel good. Love how close your family is. Joe just melts my heart.
I loved Joe’s little cooking video! He was so careful with repeating all the ingredients. What a great kid he is. Thanks for sharing him with us.
