- 12 year old Y pipe and rusty nuts how to remove and install a Y pipe. 2011 Ford Edge. The total parts cost was about $400.00 not including labor. I figure the job at a shop or dealer would be about $900.00 -$1200.00 based on some shop quotes. Definitely some savings if you do it your self. The cost of the other tools are as follows. Thanks for sharing the part #'s. The studs on my catalytic (s) may not be viable. Nuts mostly rusted away. The back ones by the firewall were splintered, looked like flower petals. Curious as to what type of exhaust metal the Chineesium y pipe was as specified to be when you bought it?
I have a 2013 ford Taurus 3.5 v6 I replaced the catalytic converter bank 1-2 now my y-pipe doesn’t fit it’s off by an inch any suggestions
Hi I have a 2008 ford edge sel and im replacing the intermediate pipe..any chance you or anyone know the exhaust flange stud size and torque specs? I've received many different options from M8-1.25 and M10-1.5 but the ford dealership can't even give me the info!?!
Did you figure this out? I'm about to do this and want to get some nuts before I start.
