The previous game had 15 mission campaigns, were technically missing 1 mission, or several if you do not count the open combat missions which are in another game engine.

That was so bad. Remember when Soap died in MW3 in 2011 and you felt the pain from Captain Price as he begged for Soap to hang on. He just gets shot in the head and nothing. The cliff scene was the only thing that showed some emotion

The visuals are great, however, I think someone as Soap would not miss a bullet to the head of someone at point blank range. He did it in OG MW, shot Zakheave, did it too in OG MW II, stabbed Shepherd in the eye after being stabbed himself. And isn't Soap a SAS Sniper? How does he miss a shot at point-blank range?
The amount of reused assets in this is insane, like for the cutscene showing off the American Missiles Konni stole it uses the exact same images from MW2s missile mission.
my take would probably be that the developers know the games gonna flop and this game is just the a cash cow and they are preparing maybe a better game soon they just need a little bit of profit to make the future games better
No matter which mw trio i find this mw trio keeps it somewhat realistic. Great voice acting in this trio to, But the og trio is still the best. But it was a different time. Different games. I still enjoy the new trilogy as much as the old.
Oh absolutely! Definitely enjoyed the new direction and the new depth to the characters in this timeline. Both are an excellent trilogy to play through and watch.

It was so well done in MW3 2011, we saw Price getting emotional, the suspense behind Yuri somehow knowing Makarov and being involved in this, it was so different compared to this death. In this, Soap just gets shot by Makarov out of nowhere and boom, that's it. It almost feels like a disrespect to the character...

Makarov being not injured but trained took him on, won (because soap was injured) and killed soap. That type of thing can happen in real life, all the drama and other shit is pure fake looking, they did it right here!
Hate to be pessimistic but this campaign was not good. Abrupt ending, every single mission took place in the warzone map and of course it feels like nothing is really at stake while playing. The OG CODs were linear & more story driven. This just feels like a glorified warzone mission.

Cold War was actually tolerable and had interesting missions but this..? Uninspired. Bland. Virtue signaling. Price just kills shepherd because he feels like it. Soap dies and for what? I don't know what people have against this campaign. From a storytelling viewpoint, it is really nice. Not as overblown as the old one. Like, come on. WW3? Half of Europe under russian boot in a couple of days? Wrecked? New York under siege? This is far better. Gameplay wise it's another story, they overdid a lot of stuff here, true. But the characters, interactions, motivations are way better fleshed out.

Anyone pick up on what Makarov said to Ghost in the helicopter during the flashback scene? "You survived after the ambulance" or something to that degree. Was that a mention to the original "Remember, No Russian" Mission? It confused me a little. I overall found that whole scene intriguing. How did Makarov know each member so well on that helo? And how he mentioned the airport, and the shooting of it? Was it a shooting, or just a planned explosion? So many questions, and I feel like they won't all be answered.... 🙃😅
I would imagine that Shepard give Makatov that information similar to the OG 8n MWII how he gave up the undercover operative in the OG no Russian mission

Everyone saying the storyline is nothing compared to old mw and mw2, is seriously nostalgia trippin. Old school Mw2 deaths only seemed emptional because of the shitty graphics and mystery of what happened afterwards. The new Mw3 leaves less mystery, and animates way more outcome/solutions than mw2IW ever did. The only thing mw2 played into was shepherd, mw3 give you a full backstory and cinematic/emotional endings. Price was even emotional about soaps death, while he was being shot at by makarov.

The flash back takes place during the no Russian mission in the original mw2. At the very end when Makarov escapes In the ambulance. Price and soap ambush them hence why Makarov was locked up in the original mw3. Also soap joins tf141 in cod 4 so he has been around for a few years already prior to that mission
