V6 Twin Turbo or V8?
V8 anyday
its a twin turbo v6
EcoBoost V8!
V8
@@infinitig5392 there’s always that one person 😒
Jeremy Clarkson can explain everything with so many examples that it is just brilliant. No one comes close to him being funny while giving a car review.
He is awesome. So damn funny but serious at the same time.
"This car is more fun than watching the entire French air force crashing into a fireworks factory."
He's not a American car person is he ..
I wander why they bother
you didn't get a like from me lol
Just like the good old days, this was an exceptional review of an absolutely spellbinding car. It's amazing to think what a rather utilitarian company like Ford can pull off when they set their mind to it. I don't think there's one person on the planet that wouldn't say the top down view (looking at the roof etc...) is an absolute visual masterpiece. I don't think I've ever in my life seen a car that beautiful from that angle. Just. Perfect.
Yeah I find myself in a trance Every time I see a Ford GT from the top view. Its magnificent in every way!
Your comment aside, in your profile picture are you doing 'special' salute...?
@@canthandleit1377 haha. No but I can see how it looks that way in a little picture! It's more a yoga slash surfing pose on a super old piece of wood. Kind of the exact opposite mindset of 'that' stance 😜
@4:04 to be exact :D
I feel the same way about the Citicar. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!
One thing I’ve noticed about Jeremy, no matter how much smack he may talk and jabs he me throw at a car, he still can’t hide his inner child smile. As soon as he opens the throttle, that smile comes out, even if it’s subtle. One thing I loved about Top Gear with Jeremy, Hammond, and James, was their friendship, the fun they had, and the genuine love for cars.
That and Jeremy’s “Speed and POWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!”😂😂😂
What about you? Are you happy, do you have friends?
@@bernardbernabe7733 Hopefully they have
Perhaps the most beautiful car I've ever seen in person.
Fr? Living in eastern KY I rarely see nice cars-it’s a big deal when I go to see family in Pittsburgh and see a 911... that said there’s a lot of corvettes in KY specifically C8’s
Such an absolutely gorgeous car. I’ve never seen one in person.
They look completely different in person for some reason. They really are gorgeous in person.
It is beautiful in person but the Maclaren P1 so much better looking.
No it’s not. Its a v6. It’s trash.
Jeremy is the only Brit who STILL hasn't gotten over the Revolutionary War!
Well he was there, lost some good friends. It's personal for him.
(Sorry, I know, horrible joke.)

By far one of the best looking sports cars ever built.
The 2017 Ford GT is one of the best looking cars from the 2010-2020 decade in my opinion.
It's the perfect homage to the original GT with just the right amount of modernized design put into it. And you also have a really good amount of tech underneath.
And I respect Ford's decision to make this a track-focused car. Ferrari and McLaren and Porsche are a little too fixated on making a sort of "Super GT" car (with a couple of exceptions). Not that this is a bad thing in itself, but I like the fact that the Ford GT models have always been for the tracks first and foremost.
If I was a millionaire, it's buy this first. I don't think I'll become a millionaire and get super cars to stay pretty in my garage, I'll want to take them to the track and "appreciate" the car, not view it as an art piece. I'll get all the racing courses and qualifications I'll need and I'll be taking super cars to the tracks. I'll keep a Bugatti in the garage, because i don't want to die. Unless...
Super GT is what sells to the wealthy Elite/posers
Anyone who used to watch top gear would know that Jeremy absolutely adores the GT40, he used to have one. He tries to give a fair assessment of a supercar.
one... thought it was two because the first one broke.
This show and the 3 gentlemen will always be timeless, thank you for all the years of entertainment.
5:32 “And you’ve got to love it for that.” I can watch this forever, editing on top
I love how they cut him barking in with the music.
Jeremy can't fully stomach complimenting an american car so he gives small critiques
Did that Ford succeed at Le mans?
His eternal inferiority complex towards everything that is American..
@@clutchpedalreturnsprg7710 I think in 2016 yeah
@@barracuda7018 oh cmon, it's not a ferrari
He owned a ford gt at one point so I get the critiques. The car really could've done with a v8 or maybe even a twin turbo v8 like the koenigseggs
Proof that Ford can make a great car if they want to.
Well, there is no need to make a good cars... Cheap and economic cars win the race.
Clarkson is neither an engineer nor a trained expert with regards to car. If he says the car is overall bad, there is good reason for to buy it. Especially am American car.
Look at the 2020 Shelby GT500
Is that a V6 EcoBoost??
@@barracuda7018 yeah they usually do I had no idea, dodge, Gm and Ford all had records on the Nuremberg
Oh, I actually do think it's beautiful.
That was never a question.
It’s the best looking car in the world I think.
This is effective, extreme, nice to see but nothing compared to the art of Italian supercars
@@albertoboddi Made by Ford. Fiat couldn’t make something like this.
@@albertoboddi I honestly think the last beautiful Italian supercars were made in the 80's, the Boxer ,the 348 and the Daytona, and the great Maserati's, Bora, Khamsin, of the 70's. Ferrari and Maserati coach design has gone bad.
I can stare at a Ford GT all day. V6 with ecoboost which produces off 600 pony’s is more than okay with me.
One of my favourite cars of all time, probably only second to the original 2005 GT.
It's ok if the cost is reasonable. @450,000 USD it's a joke. That get's you a V12 Ferrari.
@@paulj9821 You have to realize this car is homologated. It's meant to be a Le Mans winning race car first, and everything else second. Like the GT40, it comes with heritage. This is nothing like a Ferrari, Lamborghini or a Mclaren. It's simply a purebred, handmade race car.

Such a beautiful machine!! Im so annoyed Ford didnt make 100 times as many! Also 1000% agree that a V8 would've given the car so much more personality. They should make a continuation series with the GT500's powertrain.
I wonder what about a V12...
You wouldn't be able to EcoBoost their current V8 block and keep the car light. I'm sure their GT's V6 block is just turned up for performance of their otherwise domestic EcoBoost engine.
It just means efficient engines when understressed also means performant engines when stressed.

I love the car, piece of the art. But one thing is dislike about it is she’s not manual, in the past Ford GT including the 1966. I prefer driving a Gt have a manual transmission like Ken Miles in his Ford wining Le Man

The car is not only a work of engineering art, its been built up to. With the GT40s in the 60s, then to the remake in 2005. The GT has a history that makes the car beautiful. It's built on years of knowledge and ideas. It's honestly one of the finest pieces of engineering in the world. There are certainly cars that are faster and better, no doubt, but the GT was meant to stand for the Ford name. And it does.
