Saw these on the HA site, and despite a lack of reviews I couldn't resist the Vesterhav Meteor. I'm so glad I bought it, it looks stunning and feels beautifully made. Good to see it getting some coverage.
First impression, I'm inclined not to disagree! It's a beauty and sits excellently on the wrist. HA has been doing some pretty incredible things with design, finishing and use of color. Cheers
I ordered the Raven ver and was just notified that it had shipped. Looking forward to getting it and Henryk is a pretty awesome guy, if have any questions he will answer them for you. I don't know many brands where the owner cares that much about his customers. Def will be a repeat customer.
Awesome, I look forward to your thoughts when you get it! Agreed, Henrik is a great dude and naturally makes you want to support the brand/him. The watches make it easy in their own right too. Cheers
Wow, that dial looks awesome. And I really like the blueish / grey accents the seconds hand and hour markers have, they make it even more interesting to look at. I am also leaning more and more into bolder colors and this is one of the nicest ones I have seen. Congrats, this is a really nice watch overall, nice 9 series movement, quick adjustement, 200m, so the price is very reasonable. I think I will check out their website again.
If you're looking to add some color, few (if any) use it better than Henry Archer! They have so many gorgeous combos (many of which are no longer on the website, as they're constantly doing new batches with different variations). Fit and finish is generally pretty remarkable for the price too (this one doesn't seem to be an exception to that experience). Cheers
I'm VERY interested in this watch! Not necessarily this colour, but maybe the purple. It has basically perfect proportions I I'd really like to experience how this thin watch wears.
Excellent! From what I've seen so far, and past HA experiences, I think you'd love it! Exceptional finishing for the money. I'll of course thoroughly explore it for the full review. You can't go wrong with any of the colors. They make some of the best purple dials around (I still pine for that Iris/Lavender Nordsø, even after seeing this one 😄) Cheers
Couldn't agree more! They're quickly becoming less of a "sleeper" brand as more people give them a shot, but they're doing so much right. Which model did you get?
No wrong choice, they're all beautiful colorways! This particular one immediately jumped to the top of my want list and I have zero regrets with the choice.
Thanks very much for your initial impressions on the Vega - it also has me hooked. My prob is that I recently bought a pink-dialled San Martin. I can hear myself rationalising buying this on the basis that I have numerous black & blue dials, so why be limited to only ONE pink dial 😅😊
My pleasure! Thanks for watching. If you're still on the fence and want to see more, I have better and more varied footage in the full review. Depending on the San Martin execution, this one likely presents differently. The color is pretty unique and has a nice shift across lighting/angles. Cheers
I'm impressed with it so far! Their range of colors (not all are still on the site), is something special and one of my favorite things about the brand. Cheers
I picked the lavender I prefer the way it plays in the light and the way you can see the dial texture over the purple Also prefer the blue/ teal red and lavender scheme vs adding an extra color
@@JonathanTReviews they got me I liked the purple Norse but wasn’t really interested in another diver and I was like maybe we’ll talk if they do a non diver version
@@JonathanTReviews I'll take that and run with it 😂 Mr Helm just gave me a hand written card, so Henrik saying to pop in for a coffee next time I am in Denmark sure beats that!!
@@JonathanTReviews Man I cannot wait for this piece. I went with pink/blue because I absolutely love those Hairibo Bubblegum Bottles, and my inner Ken does not have a suitable watch! 😂
You can't go wrong either way, but I'm very happy with this version! The only one I MAY pick over it is the Iris Nordsø for dial color. However, the Vesterhav gets the nod between the two (again, both models being great). The full review is dropping this week and may further help with the decision. Cheers
Love the quality of the watch but not a fan of the box and packaging. The box is way to big and nothing special. I would prefer something like the San Martin round leatherette case, small and classy. The plastic bag is a horrible first impression.
I appreciate usable/travel packaging as well, but don't personally find the presentation to be bad. The boxes are larger than I'd prefer (environmental and storage purposes) though I appreciate the tissue paper and personalized elements. I agree, the watches themselves and customer service are really where they shine (and I honestly usually forget about even the nicest packaging soon after, however, I have a ton of dedicated storage and travel stuff). Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews I appreciate what you mean about the watches themselves and customer service. I love the design language of the brand and it really suites my aesthetic tastes. I just think the box/case design doesn't follow in the same vein as the rest of the Henry Archer ethos.
Warning to all: The watch bracelet is so sharp on my wrist it feels like my wrist is burning after wearing for a few hours. I guess I will have to sell it on ebay as their refund policy doesn't allow returns if the plastic wrap is removed. Very disappointing.
If you haven't already, I'd reach out to Henrik. This is not consistent with my experience nor others I've seen. Assuming something isn't defective, it may be something is otherwise causing the irritation (ex: nickel allergy or something). I let the brand owner know about the issue and he asked that you please reach out.
I've had some cases/bracelets where the QR bars caused hotspots too, though I generally prefer they be included. On the plus side, they can always be swapped for traditional bars, but the opposite unfortunately isn't true due to necessary relief cuts in the end link.
@@JonathanTReviews Thanks, I assumed they could be if caused an issue. I do not wear watches tight to wrist (ideally) but not sure if that's better or worse in such situations haha.

In my opinion it's the best yet from Henry Archer. Looking forward to your full review and thoughts.

Really nice! I'm on the fence about buying a green dial or the black raven dial version. Looking forward to your review!
Henrik never makes it easy to pick a color! A wide range of choices and they're all sharp. Cheers

@@JonathanTReviews Thanks Jonathan. It was the SN0054G-C2 San Martin (pink enamel dial) so yes, the Vega is somewhat different. Def still considering.

Is Henrik Henry?
Just watched a Long Island watch review and he said Henry Archer is a translation of owners name.
I'm not certain about the Archer part, but the brand owner's name is Henrik (Schødt) which I'm sure ties into Henry.

Torn in this or the purple

You might want to double check the selected currency. It's still showing $499 for me on all available colors. Cheers

Is it the quick release pins on the bracelet?
