Does it work to bring in models from the asset browser, and append other files that have been modeled in other versions of Blender (particularly 4.1 or 4.2) and then just do lighting / shading in Octane?
And did you notice or run any tests on comparing render speeds? Cycles vs Octane?

I've checked my addon (Octane Tools) in V28.13 and it works here. Maybe you have a double installation going on? Try to remove my addon folder from all the locations and install it anew.

Do have any tip suggestion for working Metal Apple M1 // would there be a miraculous difference when setting up using octane x vs octane render prime tier // I previously downloaded octane x and setup everything correctly the issue i had was Kernel and Kernel type missing paths and no net gpu when rendering image. Would I still be able to setup using prime octane render mac for M1

Unfortunately I'm not a Mac user so I would not want to speak on something I don't know about yeah sorry my suggestion would be to go to the octane form there is a section on there I think dedicated to Mac users

after both apps are installed, i do not see Octane in list of available Renderers. Only Eevee, Workbench and Cycles are there.

why would you want to use octane vs cycles?

That's the same question as why switch to Redshift or why switch to Arnold or why switch to Renderman it just another render alternative everyone doesn't like Cycles.
