I just watched the episode. I am shocked that the burglars got a suspended sentence with so much previous history of crime. I have to blame the police for not putting these villains away. I now have no faith in our police force(sorry service) anymore.
Not the Police, it's the judicial system. The police can only lay charges, try he courts do the rest... in this case the finger needs to point to the judge and jury. Not the police.
What a bizarre comment. The police gather the evidence, CPS make the charging decision then the courts hand out the sentence. Do you think the police are happy these 2 burglars didn't go to prison? They're probably just as frustrated as the general public are
@@ad3l547 He is a victim but would the police have been more or less competent by not arresting him, gathering evidence and presenting the evidence to the CPS for them to make a decision on whether he should go to trial?
The criminals already had a record as long as my arm but still got NO time for this. When someone dies to their hands the blood is on the judges hands. Disgusting
I just spent 2min on google, this has happened in the U.S on several occasions and the victim has been charged and at times jailed. Please don't BS and make the U.S something it is not.
I don't think this man should have been sent to prison. But he should have stopped and thought is this a good idea? I'm not a racing car driver and emotions are running high. I should probably call this off
I don't have much issue with the man being charged, his job to defend his family was complete when the thieves ran off. He didn't need to chase them down the streets in his car that's a strange flex from him that can't go unpunished. I think what doesn't feel right is that his punishment is more severe than the thieves very hard to fathom that, as his actions are only possible as a result of their actions.
His family were completely safe and the burglars were running away from him. He then chased after them and almost killed them 😂 why are you livid? Thank god they didn't die
The Cps should be brought to account for this, they are responsible for pursuing this lovely man through the court. Any one of us would have reacted the same if 2 lowlife scumbags tried to burgle and steal from us.
The police didn’t have to send the case papers to the CPS in the first place, they could have NFA’d it like they do with most crimes that affect white people these days.

Why on earth would you go out and chase them? Leaving your family at home with nobody to protect them? If they are running away stay home call the police and arm up in case they come back.
I don't buy it. He's being made out to be some poor innocent guy who did nothing wrong. The guy acted impulsively with no regard to the public. He said he didn't even know if he was speeding on a 30mph road or a road with the national speed limit. Says it all If he had collided into another driver that day, all of you would be switching your tone with a quickness. Especially this so called detective on his left acting like his mum 😅
the system is NOT, this is their system, a system created by THEM for THEM. How can the system be BROKEN? The crime was committed by his own people. This is very telling.

The police tried to put them away ,was the judge that decided. Happens a lot , though I know police responsible in other cases 👍
to be fair they never actually burgled the house , he saw them and chased them off.
The UK police makes American cops look very competent
The police were competent. They investigated the crime and the court convicted.
