I like Saturdays because I know I'm going to listen at a new Bach cantata performed by Lutz and his people.
So I'm new to this. How many do they do a year? So the Lutz people are weekly, like Bach was. All so amazing.

Esta cantata é das tais... que não nos cansamos de ouvir, que nos enternece, pacifica e nos beija como uma mulher ou como uma irmã. Música de Bach, (quase) toda ela superlativa, mas esta está escrita como tivesse existido desde sempre, sem princípio e sem fim. Uma cantata escrita a ouro, é o que é!

My daughters favorite in college choir were contatas. And yes seeing 19 year olds in to it was great.
This performance was recorded June 2010. Since that time, the "young adults" in the performance have aged almost 13 years. lol
theway Bach will surround a momentous chorale- here w the intro and then the chorale enters as if some one is opening a fantastic door and then !!!!!
of course he could spend a lot more time opening the door- but not in the cantatas

Dieses Werk bitte zu meiner Beerdigung! Wie oft habe ich Trost aus dieser Kantate bezogen und konnte die Schläge, die das Leben so austeilte ertragen und mit einem Lächeln quittieren... ("Ihr könnt mich Alle...", nun ja, die Gedanken sind frei..." aber Ihr könnt...)

Eine wunderschöne Kantate, die es am 30. Juni live in der Christuskirche Mainz mit Bachchor und Bachorchester Mainz zu hören gibt! Natürlich ebenfalls in historisch informierter Aufführungspraxis.
