Known for quartz, they also have Magnet Cove, one of the most coveted mineralized areas in the world. Arkansas also has caves, mountain bike trails and plenty of water as well. Lot's of treasures in Arkansas!
@@teecee4459 I worked on a quartz mine some years ago. Cold in the morning, the hoar frost would raise 5 pound rocks 6 inches off the ground.then the sun came out and melted the frost. Awesome!
Digging with the deer horn is awesome. I could watch you all day picking up discoveries. Thanks for posting with your info about the trash. People need to respect our natural state.
I've always loved finding crystals, stones, arrowheads, Indian money, since I was a kid. Kept us out of trouble. Haven't went digging in a few years. Wanted to go to the Crater but the pandemic came to town. Will definitely be going in the summer. Can't wait!
Crater? ... the lamproite diatreme? I wonder if there are any more of those as yet undiscovered -- possibly eruptions predating the Ouachita Orogeny, which are presently obscured up in those hills.
This is my favorite spot to mine in Arkansas, and I've just dug and looked in the area above the creek and a little ways up toward the caves. There's so much abundance that I've never walked all the way up to the caves. I've found incredible points there - long and clear. There's also lots of double terminated points.
I actually mined there 10 year ago for my first trip that wasn't a pay place, we camped just passed that mine on the right before the caves, probably one of the more magical places to rock hound in the area!
Thanks for sharing your excursions. The crystals with the one dominant facet at the tip show the Dauphiné habit. They grew horizontally with the big facet on the lower side hence the little 2nd generation crystals deposited on the upper side. And, if you want to get rid of the non disolvable crusts - give them a brush with iron wool. I wish you all the best!
I knew we had some beautiful places here in Arkansas wish I had explored more of it before I became disabled. I would give anything to be able to walk out there and enjoy the meditation. You found some amazing looking crystals so beautiful.
Today I went to an area with rocks that a geologist told me can have quartz crystals, I found a lot of little clusters it was really fun, sadly by little I mean with a maximum of a quarter inch but still they’re clear so I like them
i tried to find this place today - i know i didnt drive in far enough , went to Ron C's yesterday - started out at crystal vista this morning and then drove in from the mount ida side - only drove about 5 miles. looks like they have done some road work , with a 7,5 hour drive home i didnt want to spend too much time looking , came home with lots of nice stuff - 5 buckets and 3 large stones over 70 pounds each so im not complaining about not finding this place.
When j lived in PA I found alot of clear to clear brown crystal points good sized too sum finger size i found them in a corn field using the suns reflection to see them sticking out the ground right on the mountain in fort Indian town gap
reminds me of visiting the neighborhood St Clair glass factory as a child. we would dig for anything that was (Almost) perfect that they thru out. Many times even barefoot(i don't know what we were thinking..) I would sit and watch them work the glass and blowing some really cool pieces! My prize was a blown purple fish that had one small chip in the tail. Great video!!
Beautiful crystals, streams, crunching leaves. Nature is wonderful. Although I love my Great Lakes beaches, I will be adding Arkansas to my bucket list. Thanks for sharing!
Next time I make it out that way I have to go there. Your first video to the caves started my whole love for crystal hunting and I can't wait to make it to the caves one day. Loved the music you added in too!!!
unfortunately the land owner to this commercial mining operation failed to posted sign of any type to let hikers like myself know where the land started. this is now off limits. sorry. i didn’t know at the time. there signs or fence or a guy walking around with a gun. both videos i made.
Beauties, one and all! Thanks for taking us with you on this trip, Diamond. I enjoyed it tremendously. 💎⚒⛏⚒💎 I’d love you own just a few of these for my collection. Too old to get out now. Take care, be safe and thanks again. 🥰
Hi Jason! I really like the description. Where is this? Looks like Hot Springs. The oranges was left as a marker for someone. Good hint. Let’s go hunting together sometime. I have a new vein full of Tabbies you can help me break into. Might lead to a cave.
Man, you are killing me! I've seen two at least peaking/ shining out from under a rock, one looked like a blue phantom, that you skipped over reaching for another one, or walking right past it!!
Thank you for the nice autumn walk to the crystal caves. Looked like you were standing on the edge of tailing hills at times. Beautiful crystals even if you didn’t get a Dow point this time.
I Love the peaceful walk to the cave it's so pretty with clear creeks you pass on the way then find nice crystals.....💧 I'm curious, very very curious if there any predators via bear, mountain puma or man in Arkansas..... How far from road or highway..... Is it safe to visit... I found you at diamond Crater posts..... Hitting rocks, throwing rocks & digging in dirt is ideal for kids🌠💯 I assume for safety one should carry.. Thanks for sharing it makes ideal exploration for as activitiy or relax too💫
So I finally found this place. It took some Mciver skills searching but finally got to see it! Then I slipped on a rock and broke my leg 🤕 i think that deserves one of those long skinny ones you found if you do a give away 😉 And to anyone who goes out there or anywhere hiking be careful, take your time, and watch your step.
Very nice crystals! I've got to take a camping trip up there soon. I moved back from Colorado last year and a few years back some kids pulled some smokey's off their claim the size of your leg. They did a vid. Thanks for the great vid.

How do you know where this site is? I have lived in Arkansas all my life but never heard of the crystal caves
This is private property and you are trespassing if you do go.
How do you get there from the crystal recreation area?
Beautiful hike into cave.
On my bucket list.
Nature and her splendor.
Nothing like added your personal touch and creativity to make the crystal shine.
@@SJ-us7td why is it on many videos with crystal hunters
This isn’t a private claims lamo.
The mine above this BLM land is a claim.
I have a new appreciation for crystals now. Clear as crystal indeed !
Glad you enjoyed the video!

Can’t beat Ron Coleman ! No crystal spots an best it! Just have to catch Ron Coleman when they’re dumping good material
Lovely Crystal's, wish we had places like that around Pennsylvania. The scenery was fabulous.

Can find quartz crystals in the farm fields after a rain in eastern Pa.
