That "worm" like fossil appears to be one of the rarer shaped ammonites heteromorph, I believe that's the right name if I recall, great find nonetheless!

My Dad would fossil hunt along the Pecos river back in the early 60's . He was in the Air Force stationed in San Antonio where I was born . He had several boxes of fossils my brother and I would look at but not any ammonites . I'd love to go back there and do some exploring of my own .

My sister and brother in law live in the area you’re at, I enjoyed finding dinosaur stuff and arrowheads there, the heat is real in the creek, we also found quite a few shark teeth there too,I like your dedication for making videos to share with everyone.

Oh .y gosh I just ran a ross your site and I am BLOWN AWAY to say the very least..
My daughter when she was lite spent most her play time,
" Diggin for dinosaurs bones .mommy .." everywhere we went we seem to bring back a floor board of treasures.
To my surprise she found quite a few but never these ammonites..WoW.. makes me certainly want to plan a fossil search day with my 10 year old grandson...minus the snake of course...lol
I have shared your site with him now.
Thank you for battling the heat and snakes to bring us this exciting adventure..
God bless you and keep you safe..I look forward to a new kind of fun day of treasure hunting with him..and new floor board treasres.
    Thanks again.
.Sincerely your new fan of old digs... Beth

You can here the rattlers in the brush, rattle as you walk by, but you are far more likely to be bit by the moccasin! Its so weird to see it so dry. The ammonites are so amazing. That wasnt a grasshopper! And those sand dollars are called echinoids. They are super cool. You just did awesome on your trip this time! That last big ammonite at the end was awesome! Marine fossils are my absolute favorites! That fossilized boob is a shell. Its is a gastropod! And that straight one was a rare type of ammonite. So many cool fossils! as a patreon and channel member, we support you!

It's actually cicadas, not rattlesnakes. I have a few friends that live overseas and they thought the same thing after hearing them. It's a noisy insect that comes out of the ground in summer.

Amazing what you are able to find in a recently released dried out creek. Out of all the ammonites that you found, I like the one that looked wet with a brown red color. All of the complete body ones are stunning! Then you found the sand dollars! Thank you so very much for sharing your adventure. 👍 Please announce the give away winner on UA-cam, also. I dislike Facebook and don't want to use it.

In 1994, when I was stationed at Ft Hood I found my first real fossil in a creek. I never knew what ti was until I started watching your channel last night. I found out it is a piece of a Metengonoceras. On one side is the beautiful pattern, on the back side there appears to be something that looks like an tentacle or something. WHatever the case I just wanted to thank you. I'm in Minnesota now but I'll get down to Texas soon enough.

Those are some incredible Ammonites and fossils. There is nothing like that around here that I know of, What a treasure trove of fun and fossils. My only Ammonites are ones I purchased from the UK that need to be prepped. Shipping to the PNW of the US was pricey but I have a few to prep anyway. More of the 2" and 3" ammonites with shale on them I guess. But nothing like what you are finding. Awesome finds. Congrats.
