At 17:20 there are 1 or 2 big ones in the water next to the bank. You make great content for all your viewer's and i know times are not easy for all of us and we thank you for your content.
That "worm" like fossil appears to be one of the rarer shaped ammonites heteromorph, I believe that's the right name if I recall, great find nonetheless!
My Dad would fossil hunt along the Pecos river back in the early 60's . He was in the Air Force stationed in San Antonio where I was born . He had several boxes of fossils my brother and I would look at but not any ammonites . I'd love to go back there and do some exploring of my own .
Just came across your channel…WOW..I’m from Joggins, Nova Scotia Canada. A world heritage site for fossils. You are so lucky to be able to pick fossils like this…just amazing.
My sister and brother in law live in the area you’re at, I enjoyed finding dinosaur stuff and arrowheads there, the heat is real in the creek, we also found quite a few shark teeth there too,I like your dedication for making videos to share with everyone.
Oh .y gosh I just ran a ross your site and I am BLOWN AWAY to say the very least.. My daughter when she was lite spent most her play time, " Diggin for dinosaurs bones .mommy .." everywhere we went we seem to bring back a floor board of treasures. To my surprise she found quite a few but never these ammonites..WoW.. makes me certainly want to plan a fossil search day with my 10 year old grandson...minus the snake of course...lol I have shared your site with him now. Thank you for battling the heat and snakes to bring us this exciting adventure.. God bless you and keep you safe..I look forward to a new kind of fun day of treasure hunting with him..and new floor board treasres. Thanks again. .Sincerely your new fan of old digs... Beth
I’m a 63 year old nana in Tennessee and I have mobility issues. I LOVE LOVE 💕 watching you and living vicariously through you! It’s SO EXCITING and fun!! The snake, tho, yikes! Thanks for what you do! -Nana Cathy
Thanks much for sharing another adventure. An inspiration to battle the Texas heat the next couple of weekends and scour some family property between Spicewood and Llano. Maybe something interesting is waiting to be found.
That's a fabulous ammonite, several really nice ones! And that huge one at the beginning, under glass could make an awesome table. What an exciting place to go treasure hunting!
Just awesome to be able to do this. We did some Fossil hunting years ago in AZ. But not able to anymore. Thanks for taking us along with you. Love it & the finds. (TX)
You can here the rattlers in the brush, rattle as you walk by, but you are far more likely to be bit by the moccasin! Its so weird to see it so dry. The ammonites are so amazing. That wasnt a grasshopper! And those sand dollars are called echinoids. They are super cool. You just did awesome on your trip this time! That last big ammonite at the end was awesome! Marine fossils are my absolute favorites! That fossilized boob is a shell. Its is a gastropod! And that straight one was a rare type of ammonite. So many cool fossils! as a patreon and channel member, we support you!
It's actually cicadas, not rattlesnakes. I have a few friends that live overseas and they thought the same thing after hearing them. It's a noisy insect that comes out of the ground in summer.
Amazing what you are able to find in a recently released dried out creek. Out of all the ammonites that you found, I like the one that looked wet with a brown red color. All of the complete body ones are stunning! Then you found the sand dollars! Thank you so very much for sharing your adventure. 👍 Please announce the give away winner on UA-cam, also. I dislike Facebook and don't want to use it.
In 1994, when I was stationed at Ft Hood I found my first real fossil in a creek. I never knew what ti was until I started watching your channel last night. I found out it is a piece of a Metengonoceras. On one side is the beautiful pattern, on the back side there appears to be something that looks like an tentacle or something. WHatever the case I just wanted to thank you. I'm in Minnesota now but I'll get down to Texas soon enough.
Like I’ve said in the past and some exquisite fines in the creek now that the drought is on your finding lots and lots of beautiful treasures and fossils for the museum just incredible pieces
What state do you live. Then check out, what fossils, that can be found there. I live in Michigan growing up, I found many fossils in a small creek. In Michigan there were no poisonous snakes.
Great video, I would have been happy to get one of the broken ammonites from earlier in the video. I love to find fossils and arrow heads, it has long time. Thank you for letting me tag along!
Those are some incredible Ammonites and fossils. There is nothing like that around here that I know of, What a treasure trove of fun and fossils. My only Ammonites are ones I purchased from the UK that need to be prepped. Shipping to the PNW of the US was pricey but I have a few to prep anyway. More of the 2" and 3" ammonites with shale on them I guess. But nothing like what you are finding. Awesome finds. Congrats.
So exciting to see you find such fascinating pieces if history!! In 51 and the only jib I ever wanted to do as a kid was be an archeologist. I work in my garden and at a floral shop though. So get to love through cool videos like this!! Thank you! :)
DMI, I just found your channel while surfing. Its great. I like your attitude. That whole creek is filled with bones an other fossils. You travel too fast for my ol eyes to see them clearly. Keep up the good work!
Up on the Washington Straits of Juan de Fuca last week, finding some small agatized snails and other petrified wood. Would love to have a piece like you are finding! First time watching your videos!
this is a magical fossil hunt, thanks for sharing. These look pretty, like the ones in Lyme Regis , england..where some of them are metal & forever fascinating.
I have just started collecting small fossils. You are so lucky to be able to find even broken ones. That's so awesome to be able to go fossil searching. 👍
Really a great video… always on my bucket list to search for these. Thanks so much for posting. My wife and I travel often to her parents home near Waco, I would love to find one one day. Thanks again for the encouraging posts
That is so awesome, looks like hard work but so much fun. I like walking creek beds, its been a while though. I wire wrap the small polished ammonites. Take care👍🏼
Those fossils are really cool. I have a few tiny fossils but nothing like that. Any of those ammonites are stunning. How cool you found a bed of sea biscuits. That grasshopper actually looked like one of those assassin bugs. Hope you gave a great day
You and the family need to store water or do like I did and relocate up north. Lot's of prepped people who care about other's surviving without government assistance lol and Stay safe out there, where Boots always. Boots and jeans. lol I'm Tonka tough in them woods. I'm in Johnson County and it's eating me up not being able to get out this summer, but I contracted a flesh eating bacteria infection less than a year ago, so stagnant water is a big no right now.
I live in Michigan and our fossils earn as beautiful as yours are. Definitely enjoy your videos. Heading up to the UP next week egg hunting and fossil hunting.
Thanks for the experience to see what's out there;fossils are new to me being from central MN but I'm sure enjoying the vicarious experience 😀 I really also like seeing the rocks from other areas
Love fossil hunting and treasure hunting in general! Passed through Texas with the People's Convoy but was lucky to take pictures as we flew by. Tried to grab some stones along the way. Missed Arkansas stones altogether. 😢
Wow! Never seen so many beautiful specimen. Lucky you to live in this area. I live in southern Ontario Canada and we only have tiny fossils and none like these. Wow!
Wow so glad to see this exploration, I've always loved to collect fossils when we were young, we lived near or around gravel pits so there were always fossils in and near these places.
Your trek into ammonite territory brought back so many memories of my youth looking for "treasures" in rural Minnesota. As an old guy, I still find time to do what you do. Keep on trekkin'...and watch out for 🐍 🐍 🐍 Thank you for the cool video!
Amonite and Ammolite are among my favorite fossils. I have ammolite in jewelry but to have a sample of amonite to put in my collection cupboard would be really special. Just found your channel and have watched a few episodes and like it very much. Thank you for taking us with you on your hunts.
Oh my..that has got to be millions of years old!

Love the finds, the smooth unusual fossil might be a gastropod (snail) or just a very worn down ammonite impression
Those Ammonites are amazing. I really liked the shell you found. Keep searching and showing your finds. I find this so interesting! Thank you!

That creek is amazing! I would be happy if I found a piece of any of those ammonites!
The sand dollars are called echinoids and the other weird thing is probably some type of oyster judging on the concave backside and spiral shape
Is it possible it’s an Abalone? It has that oval shape.
Great question, Lynne Dunlap!
