I just thank God that those two wonderful young guys still have a living link to the history of their family in their father. Not to mention hours of video to watch their uncles in action. I'm sure they've had a million questions over the years about their grandpa and their uncles especially after following them all into the family business. So grateful a part of that legendary family still remains. God bless Kevin Von Erich and his sons.
Kerry von Erich, a beast, and a perfect fit for wrestling, and a treat for the ladies as well. I was mesmerized by him and his bros as a youngster! Smiling right now thinking about the matches. My best to the whole von Erich click!
I wish I had been alive and into wrestling when the Von Erichs were huge. I didn't ever hear about them until the early 2000s and never watched them wrestle until about a year ago. I wish I could have been around for it.
Von Erich Brother's we're the reason I started watching Wrestling so good to see Kevin again ❤ RIP to all awesome wrestler's that left us great memories ❤
Watching these clips and the old clips, I get every teary eyed!! I was bless to have met Kerry Von Erich, he was my favorite! And not only to have met him! But to be picked up hugged and given a sweet kiss from him, sure was the highlight of my life!!!! Thank you to the Von Erich's, for making my teenage life fun every saturday morning (I think) and night. And whenever they came to Houston, my girlfriends and I made sure we were there!!!!
This was the most tragic family I had to live through as a Wrestling fan. I can’t even imagine what KEVIN feels. I’m so glad that they’ve moved forward. I was blessed to witness wrestling history with the Von Erich’s and the Freebirds. The movie was tough to watch but the same time I felt like I had to thank you KEVIN for being strong.
Heroes Of World Class. If you can find a copy of it was made before WWE bought the rights to world class library. Kevin visits and goes through what was left of Sportatorium before they tore it done. It is sad.
I can STILL Hear the Drums to the Intro Theme Music of WCCW in my head when I close my Eyes. The 80s was a GREAT ERA. In LA as a kid I watched WCCW on K D O C Channel 56 sometimes would wake up at 4 am on a Sunday Morning just to watch The FreeBirds.
WOW!!! I thought that Kevin Von Erich was dead. I am gladly amazed to learn that he is still alive. There is a pro wrestling promo compilation video, entitled, “Pro Wrestling Out Of Context”, which contains a segment of Kevin Von Erich’s promo for his NWA “ Barn Match” with one of the Garvins. The compilation is being watched by a number of video and film reactors, giving it great acclaim for its unintended comedic presentation. The video compilation is helping to keep the memory of Kevin Von Erich, and other professional wrestlers of his generation, alive in the minds of 21st Century professional wrestling fans who were not yet born when they worked in the profession.
one of my biggest regrets is back about six years ago i lived in dallas tx, and my ex wife knew i was big wrestling fan so she took me by the site where the sportatorium once stood. i collected a pill bottle size of dirt from the site but in moving 3 times since i lost it. to me that visit was for a wrestling fan was like when people who visit the holy lands.
What's to stop a new sportatorium being built on those grounds? The sportatorium we saw every week on WCCW wasn't the first, after all. The Madison Square Garden in NYC isn't the first. Things can be rebuilt.
Whomever owns the property right now. When Industrial Blvd became Riverfront, a lot of the properties in that area became progressive casualties, including businesses all the way down to the Longhorn Ballroom on Cotinth street.
The sign was salvaged when the building was torn down. Cowboy Johnny Mantell managed to get it and is in the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Witchita Falls. Unfortunately, I think the museum has closed down since I visited
What a moment such a classic moment Kevin is my favorite wrestler of all time and to see him and his boys on that legendary ground where the sportaturum was built man it was heart felt I grew up watching World Class Championship Wrestling i thank god I have all my collective DVD’s to relive what I use to watch on ESPN and the sports channel
Watching World Class as a little kid with my Grandma yelling at the Freebirds on TV then watching live when they came down to Corpus. The Von Erichs gave me some of the greatest memories of my life.
Thanks to the Von Erichs I fell in love with wrestling as kid in the 80s and 90s I still watch it sometimes it ain't the same i get more excited watching old School wrestling

Kevin you a the modern day hero! For what you have endured and glad you are still here BAREFOOTED! Thank you.
God, bless you Kevin
💕
Von Erich Brother's we're the reason I started watching Wrestling so good to see Kevin again ❤
RIP to all awesome wrestler's that left us great memories ❤
The movie was tough to watch but the same time I felt like I had to thank you KEVIN for being strong.
just such a great man-you can tell he loved his dad and he cherishes his brothers.
Went there many times!
It’s sad how most of the Brothers are gone really except for Kevin! May they all Rest In Peace all the legends!
Heroes Of World Class. If you can find a copy of it was made before WWE bought the rights to world class library. Kevin visits and goes through what was left of Sportatorium before they tore it done. It is sad.
SuperMutant2099 True. Unlike The WWE fluff fest that was a real documentary
Search for it here
@@Freebie1975 I know its on youtube but didn't want to link something probably not posted legally on youtube. Try not to anger the channel owners.
@@cbod14 Give me a break, the WWE documentary was pretty solid and truly captured the importance of World Class and its impact on the business.
Jonathan Turbide It was a bullshit fluff piece that barely dealt with the issues surrounding the promotion and the wrestlers. Hi Vince
I wish I could watch this one time without crying. So many memories. God bless Kevin, Ross, and Marshall.
my childhood....i love how the von erichs are finally getting the love and respect................long live the claw.
He's the last one left, truly a mentally strong person beyond words.
Funny, the dark haired looks like Kerry and the blonde looks like David!
Fabulous!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
one of my biggest regrets is back about six years ago i lived in dallas tx, and my ex wife knew i was big wrestling fan so she took me by the site where the sportatorium once stood. i collected a pill bottle size of dirt from the site but in moving 3 times since i lost it. to me that visit was for a wrestling fan was like when people who visit the holy lands.
Kevin my favorite of the brothers
GOD BLESS YOU KEVIN YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE WRESTLER WHEN I WAS A KID AND I USED TO CALL YOU THE TEXAS TARZAN 😊✌👳SPORTATORIUM LEGENDARY
What's to stop a new sportatorium being built on those grounds? The sportatorium we saw every week on WCCW wasn't the first, after all. The Madison Square Garden in NYC isn't the first. Things can be rebuilt.
The owners of the property. When the stretch of road that goes by that corner was bought, a lot of places were razed for development.
Whomever owns the property right now. When Industrial Blvd became Riverfront, a lot of the properties in that area became progressive casualties, including businesses all the way down to the Longhorn Ballroom on Cotinth street.
@Plemons Residence I dont think Vince, exposed anything. people just got smarter about it.
The sign was salvaged when the building was torn down. Cowboy Johnny Mantell managed to get it and is in the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Witchita Falls. Unfortunately, I think the museum has closed down since I visited
Sure miss these wrestling times. Thanks for the memories
Von erics 4 ever thank you for this video made me feel so good to see my fav wrestler smile his son looks like he would be a beast in the ring
It’s so awesome seeing these guys!!! 💜💜💜😭
Was there 2 months ago and walked around. Would of been awesome to have run into them. Shame it was not made into a museum
Son with hat has a similar physique to a young Kevin Von Erich.
Yes he do
@ I'd let him practice headscissors on me ALL day....WHILE wearing the cowboy hat!
wrestles like his dad also
Thanks to the Von Erichs I fell in love with wrestling as kid in the 80s and 90s I still watch it sometimes it ain't the same i get more excited watching old School wrestling
😢.... Couldn't hold back the tears....
I was born in Ft worth and had the Saturday night show from Ft worth and the Sunday morning show from Dallas!! The Von Erich /Freebird feud not only captivated the state, but the nation!! Sunshine vs Precious and especially Sunshine vs Missy Hyatt at the 3rd annual Parade of Champions is now legendary!! Would love to find that mud match anywhere!!
Amen brother
Some of the best memories of my childhood are of watching WCCW on tv with my mom and dreaming of being a Von Erich. Love these guys.
