As a Southerner, it's wild that the actor playing David had the most authentic Southern accent and it turns out he's really British haha this was a fantastic movie!
that was genuinely oscar worthy and i never thought id say that about efron. his portrayal of kevin’s extremely complex emotional self was amazing. the brother line at the end absolutely had me choked up and felt like a punch to the gut
This movie is fantastic. Such a rollercoaster of emotions. All the actors and actresses embody their role perfectly but Zac, in particular, really deserves an Oscar for this one. A24 for the win once again!
Mike’s love of Rush said a ton about his character, a kid finding solace in a conservative Texas family by playing the most counterculture band out there. His self-expression being completely broken by Fritz is probably the biggest tragedy amongst the brothers (not counting the freak accident with Jack Jr)
Beautiful movie. Amazing acting by the whole cast but I really loved Mr. Efrons role. Big it up Mr. Efron. But please understand this movie was all around entertaining, humbling, and outstanding acting, by the whole cast. Thank you for making this movie, and sharing this amazing story. Blesses to you all, and again thank you again for making this movie and for portraying your characters the way you did. Respect!
Thanks for making this movie, guys! I really appreciate the efforts you put into it. It always feels like there is a soulless Hollywood machine behind every movie but sometimes, very rarely, you can see the actual people combining their efforts...and it shows on the screen as well. Hats off to you all!
I can't speak for Kevin Von Erich really hitting you, but as someone who wrestled Kerry Von Erich I can assure you he didn't really hit you. Kerry was awesome in the ring, he was easy as could be, light as a feather, just the way pro wrestling is meant to be by the true professionals if you know anything about the inner workings of the business.
Great Job Guys, I love the story and the realism the artists brought to the Audience. I cried my eyes out at least 1/2 of the movie. The other half… Hubba Hubba Looking awesome too!
The important attention to detail of Mike sitting on a workout bench bar writing showed where he should’ve been & where he was mean’t to be. Who knows, if he was still alive, I saw him as a Jim Johnston-type, an onsite cameraman or in the production truck.
Watching these interviews you can tell that Jeremy is pretty relatable, albeit hes really into the art of acting in a fancy way. But Zac comes off like that high school quarterback that gives over the top pregame speeches
what a weird comment. zac is an unbelievable talent. he's been in the game forever. doesn't come off as whatever you said at all. he's just a true san luis obispo laidback cali dude lmao
Felt like this movie really perfectly captured Emotional Parentification by showing how much the brothers emotionally cared for each other and the weight Kevin carried. Growing up as a young girl in Texas I have a love/hate relationship with the Von Erichs. Think most little sisters of my generation were victims of The Iron Claw 😂
Great movie with committed performances and direction, tho some parts felt a little abrupt or under-developed. Overall I liked it quite a bit having not known much of anything about the story other than that there were some deaths. That montage sequence to Tom Sawyer was sublime. Editing and cinematography throughout was excellent. Would recommend for sure.
They were all great, but Jeremy Allen White just brought a whole other energy to this movie. Underutilized, imo. All of them had incredible physicality though, wrestling is such a deadly but beautiful art form.
Because he was the face and they wanted him to carry the movie. It’s like when Chris brown is in all the trailer for stomp the yard and then dies in the beginning and everyone was pissed😂
@@brittanyruiz7396another thing I've heard is, essentially, it would have been way too emotionally draining. Which considering the film already made me cry in the theater more than any other movie, I can believe it.

British people sound southern when they do an American accent
That's cause southern accents are the closest to what British sounded like in the 1600s. It's a weird rabbit hole if you decide to look into it
@@SX1995ableits cuz if you bring the voice a bit slower its a southern accent.
You need to watch the devil all the time, A bunch of actors are british
He also used a southern accent in another role
This movie was so emotional. Zac Efron really put in a seriously amazing performance.
he needs that oscar
That final scene with his kids is powerful.
that was genuinely oscar worthy and i never thought id say that about efron. his portrayal of kevin’s extremely complex emotional self was amazing. the brother line at the end absolutely had me choked up and felt like a punch to the gut
Yes
A movie has not made me cry in a long time but the ending of this movie. Just wow. Their performance was great.
"we can be your brothers, dad" 😭😭😭
Ahhhh just saw it tonight and that part had me dying
i cried three separate times throughout the movie it really got to me such great acting and storytelling
This movie was one of my most emotional viewing experiences in theater. Great film, and the performances were truly the best part
Rocky balboa where ya at
Their chemistry is amazing, I can't wait to see this one.
I watched it a couple hours ago and I will say it is definitely one of the best movies that has come out recently
The movie was incredible
Please watch. Trust you will be crying at the end.
Their energy literally feels like their moms know eachother but they don’t
Bring tissues
i am so happy for zac efron and his incredible performance. never cried more in a movie theater.

Wasn’t nominated… unless it’s considered a 2024 movie?
@@shellrockguy9761 people are saying it came out too late in the year so it wasn’t in consideration to be nominated this year 😑

Just watched The Iron Claw and it was beautiful!!! The actors really did a great job at expressing the brother’s relationship
Omg I loved Harris Dickenson’s Texas accent. It was so natural. I think I’m in love ❤
For real!!
I'm torn between Zac and Jeremy's performance as a duo in this film than Cillian and Downey Jr's. Masters at their craft, I loved this emotional film.
Oppenheimer was cool.
But The Iron Claw is incredible
♥️
As a lifelong Dallas citizen, I'm disappointed in myself that I couldn't recognize that a British person was playing David Von Erich lol
"are those twenties?" I love Jeremy's self ripping
Their careers will forever be intertwined because of this great film
If anyone is watching this out of curiosity, please watch the film. It’s so great and emotional
Just watched the film today (it only came out 4 days ago in the UK). Amazing film. Long Live the Von Erich's.
It was a perfect movie. Depressing, but portrayed exceptionally well.
I loved this film. Not normally considered Zac as an actor I would take seriously, but after this performance, so much respect!
That same thing happened to me, it's literally what I've been saying since coming out of the cinema yesterday.
This movie is going to be a classic I can feel it thank you for making this great film this is the first time I cried watching a movie in years
I love Pro-wrestling and I can't wait for this Movie.

Film was awesome. Definitely became a fan of all these actors by the end of it.
I am definitely watching The Iron Claw this weekend and i am going in blind without knowing anything about the family it is based on. I can't wait!
omg a youtuber I watch hello what
Jeremy is a little short king, but he was a ballet dancer since elementary school, so he's been super fit his whole life.
such a great movie, made me so emotional. they all did a great job portraying the brothers.
This movie was AMAZING!!!! Should win a ton of awards in my eyes
Unfortunately it probably won’t due to the timing of its release but it absolutely deserves to. Especially Zac Efron.
I would have never thought that this crew could be the Von Erichs but this movie looks freaking amazing.

I still dont understand why Jeremy wasnt cast as Willy Wonka in that new Wonka movie. He looks so much like a young Gene Wilder

Jeremy Allen white is so talented when it comes to acting it’s too bad he’s so underrated.
All three of them are so adorable in their own way😍
i think everyone can agree that the brother's wrestling montage is one of the best scenes in the movie
I love the way that black polo shirt is hugging Zac’s upper body.😂

All 3 are handsome and talented.
Ur messy 😂😂😂🤣🤣😂
Zac Efron proofed his talent in this movie, I think he played the role perfect.
Vince McMahon, in the 80s, apparently tried real hard to sign the Von Erichs, Kevin, David, and Kerry.
Which Vince McMahon? Sr. Or Jr.?
@@zachm2331 I think Jr
according to Bruce Prichards podcast Vince wanted to go national with one of three wrestling stars; Dusty Rhodes, Kerry Von Erich or Hulk Hogan
@ADAM_CAMMA well, he specifically wanted all three of the brothers. When David died, the WWE held a 10 bell salute to him.
Their careers will forever be intertwined because of this great film
Going to see this tomorrow I love these kind of biopic movies
Fantastic film!! I cried so much
I saw the movie yesterday. Great movie 👍👍🔥‼️💯💯
Von Erichs live on ‼️
My favorite movie of 2023. Loved this!
What a movie❤❤❤
Thank for all the efforts to make it that perfect
Zac needs his Oscar
It's crazy to see how much muscle mass they lost since filming and I'm happy because I know it had to take a total mentally to bulk up that much
Just watched. Movie is awesome!
I can’t wait to see this for myself. I’m a fan of movies like these 🙌🏽

Jeremy Allen White’s accent in this movie is a CRIME

I was shocked that he didn't play Kerry.
Because he was the face and they wanted him to carry the movie. It’s like when Chris brown is in all the trailer for stomp the yard and then dies in the beginning and everyone was pissed😂
Don’t understand the reasoning for erasing the existence of Chris Von Erich. Would’ve added to the story/accuracy
I think the director said Chris was cut for time. The movie would have been double the runtime so they had to make some creative decisions.
@@brittanyruiz7396 Double by adding one brother? Idk about that. 20 minutes tops.
