Thanks brother!
Great to see you and the family is doing great after the hurricane catch you next time
Thanks Joe!
This just got me hype. I ordered one last week and it should be here tomorrow. Also got the 2500 to pair with the convict rod I already had. Can’t wait to slay some sheepshead with it! Thanks for this!
Im glad it helped you out and thanks for watching!
That's a very good combo you have with toadfish. I didn't know they make reels. I no about they rods thanks for sharing. God bless

Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Yeehaw I'm finally first 🤪
Can I ask do you still use this rod/reel 10 months later? do you like it still? is there anything you wish you would have bought instead of a toadfish setup?
I definitely still have it and use it. As a matter of fact I have 2 other ones. I would love to have the higher end Penns or Shimanos, but this suited me fine. I only get out once a week so this setup catches all inshore species. The only thing I notice is a little more line twists than usual, but as long as I’m paying attention they are manageable.
@@TheKayakWarrior Thanks for the quick reply. I have heard and read a lot about wind knots using Toadfish reels and it's the only thing holding me off from buying them. Light weight, 7+1 sealed bearings, and a decent drag weight on the Toadfish reels look promising. I have personally used baitcast for 30+ years, went to the surf the other day with friends and they all had spinning reels and I questioned myself on why I never used them. Now I am in the market. Been looking at the Penn Battle III DX (silver version) but wasn't sure which rod to pair it with. Was thinking 7' or 7'6" MH-F for inshore speckled trout and red fish, but toadfish is sold out of their 7'2", and I am not quite sold on their products yet. A PENN Battle III DX paired with a good rod will cost the same if not less than the Toadfish elite carbon combo @ $280.
Anyhow thanks again. Just skipped around to some of your other videos, great content, thanks for this.
@@CrimtideStreams I would choose the Battle III over the Toadfish, the Toadfish is a little lighter. I also had a Daiwa BG 2500 that I loved (dropped it overboard). I would also choose that over the Toadfish. I just got good deals on them.
@@TheKayakWarrior I appreciate your feedback sir. Thanks again. God Bless.
I accidentally bought the 2000 series reel. Do you think it's ok for sheepshead fishing? I'm putting it on the 6"0 convict rod.
For the most part, yes. It will just depend on the size sheep or drum on the other end.
@@TheKayakWarrior thanks. I do a lot of sheep fishing in Jacksonville,Fl. i usually climb the jetty rocks but been looking into buying a kayak
