Generally I used metagross in USUM. I don't care about their evolutionary levels, just include them. Didn't magnezone has to be level up in vast pony canyon? I think you'll get metagross early before battling lusamine
Both are really good, imo somewhat busted. Magnezone is good if ur team is more physical and Metagross if it’s more special oriented. Although I would use both on my team tho because the ground weakness isn’t hard to combat by having a flying type.
I've used both Steelix and Scizor in my Soul Silver at different points. Its easier to get the Metal Coat in those games. Plus, I've used most of these in other games.

I find it hilarious Mystic puts Aloan Dugtrio in the thumbnail but yet doesn't even make the cut. Even though Skarmory should had been picked for Sapphire/Emerald because of a lot more Water Types dominate in those games.

It’s actually much easier to get a dusk stone in XY than you think. Super training while taking a decent amount of grinding does give you access to a dusk stone right after honedge evolves, and you could even choose to give it an eviolite if you prefer defense over offense.
I used scizor in storm silver with the technician+choice band+bullet punch combo which hit like a truck. I sometimes took out choice band for metal coat and used swords dance too. Loved using it. Excadrill was great in my b2 nuzlocke too. Sweeped a lot of teams and almost finished iris. (I still beat the nuzlocke)
Mystic your argument for Lucario is perfectly sound in black 2 and white 2. But I raise you, magnezone. In my opinion, the magnezone line’s learnset is a lot better than the Lucario line’s in those games. I understand your decision with Lucario but I feel magnezone oughta be in the question as well

I’d like to think Magneton is the best in Gen 3 because the electric type in hoenn is great. Also Aggron evolves really late, and its pre-evolutions are bad.
The problem is that Magneton's movepool is very barren. It didn't have any offensive Steel-type moves and, even if it did it wouldn't really be able to use them effectively, given the type-based physical/special split, and coverage was next-to-non-existent. Aggron has a huge movepool with a lot of physical coverage and, despite it only having base 60 Sp. Atk, it can even dip into its special movepool for some additional coverage, if needs be.

Excadrill I've used in Black many times in the past. Aegislash in Y also I used Mawile in Omega Ruby and Lucario in X many times in the past. Corviknight I've used in several swsh playthroughs.
Fun fact: on my first run playing Pokémon Sun, I found a shiny magnemite at the trainers school grass not know. It was the only wild magnemite encounter too so I thought it was part of the game. My first ever shiny Pokémon since Red Gyrados from Crystal lol

Me personally in Sinnoh. If I have to wait til I get surf for Magnemite. I may as well get the Riolu. It's a 30 minute story difference between the 2 and Lucario can be very OP in Sinnohs endgame. Granted Magnezone is really good to. Normally I just have Luxray as my electric thou.
Dude, lucario is pretty good, but its not sweeps through the entire game good. Excadrill can outspeed everything if you have sand rush and obliderate everything if you get sand force. Plus you can buy the tm for sandstorm in mistralton city. Between rock slide, earthquake, and iron head you can hit pretty much everything with neutral or super effective damage. There's a good reason why speedruners use excadrill in their runs.

Now iirc BW didn't have access to mold breaker Drilbur line without dream world access, which shut down with Nintendo WFC. And besides, we don't mind the other abilities, especially if it's rush. I'd say klinklang is the best pokemon for sun and moon. U can get it the same place megnemite is and u can get moves earlier and better typing. It can learn discharge and shift gear. U dont need to worry about the ground type terrorizing you.

Perrserker was my MVP for SWSH. It hit with force of a bullet train against anything i threw it at.
