Coincidentally, I JUST finished a Rock-type Scarlet run. Let me tell you, its not as bad as it seems. Granted I don't restrict myself on set-up moves or terastilizing, so that will absolutely make a Rock run that much more difficult. I found that Drednaw is the MVP of the run, as it helps with some of the biggest weaknesses Rock has. Eri is a nightmare, though.
thinking about the cruel forretress set I used a bug type violet nuzlocke. It used: Curse Gyro Ball Body Press Protect An almost impenetrable physical wall, it stalled you out while boosting both its sources of damage with one boosting move and holding leftovers. It was glorious. All this to say that forretress is really funny and you should have used it more
I would like to see you do a Pokémon hard-core lock using only fossil Pokémon that would be a challenge for experience Pokémon trainer and it’s be a really cool video to see
you can just travel around the region? i've had friendship evos evolve after walking from cortando to the klawf area (the long way around, obviously). doesn't take long and is really easy.
for some reason iron bundle has 114 defense but only like 60 special defense I think iron moth has 110 special defense and I think 60 defense iron hands 108 defense 68 special defense iron thorns has 110 defense and 84 special defense iron jugulis has 86 defense and 80 special defense iron treads has 120 defense and 70 special defense iron valiant has 90 defense and 60 special defense and all the future swords of justice have exactly 108 special defense and varying defense 88-100

9th gen games are rather easy, aren't they? I've never played then, but seeing as you can get evolution items from a vendor at the beginning of the game, there are nature changing items and the (stupid) open world sure make the game seem like the difficulties of past games were all erased from the game.
I don't think difficulty was their main focus when making sv. The story is so fleshed out and wonderful and the side quests (literally just making sandwiches) is a big feature. I think this game was meant to be a nice, relaxing breath of fresh air.
