🤘Hey Friends! I have decided to put my list in the comments since your support was so overwhelming the last time I did it. For those unaware the reason I don’t usually do this because it stops people from watching the whole video, and so it hurts my video in the algorithm…
👽So if you do enjoy me leaving the lists for you in the comments make sure to help the video by watching all the way through, commenting if you feel like it, and giving it a thumbs up! All that stuff really does help and it will also mean lists will be in the comments in the future!🤘🤘🤘

    The Loved Ones (2009)
    Wolf Creek (2005)

hey EMMA i know you already but it's my favorite factoid about wolf creek. The original plot line was meant to be a bus load of tourists running into mick posing as their tour guide(what's more disarming than a knowledgable friendly tour guide with CHAAAArm. This plot line was later recycled for season 2 of wolf creek the series. also mr. Mclain fleshed out Micks backstory (with John Jarrats help because he outlined one while preparing to portray the character) in two novels subtitled Origin and the second subtitled Desolation game.. fun fact about me: wolf creek was the first franchise 15 year old me had scene where a realistic killer gets away with it. Again, again, and again .As a man who has lived all my life with left hemiplegia due to Cerebral palsy (it's mild now but it will never will go away) the "head on a stick" scene hits way different for me.

I'm not usually a disturbing films viewer. But The Loved Ones is SO GOOD, and I didn't even know it was Aussie! I think the fact that Lola is deliciously over the top to almost the point of splatter type violence (the scenes at her house especially 👑) without quite stepping over that boundary is why I like it! 💖 great list Emma!

@@rosiealma4276 thats utterly adorable, and although i can never remember the words (which admittedly drives me insane, especially compared to the ridiculous shit i DO remember for no reason, 'bah weep graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong' for instance. . . ), ive seen that scene so many times the 'energy' of the scene always carries through in my mind. . .
just that beautiful moment of confidence punctuated only by a crescendo of pure irritation. . . if that doesnt describe certain moments of my almost 30 year old arse dealing with customers on a day to day basis. . .

The cell phone video in Lake Mungo is one of the most haunting and chilling scenes I've seen in a horror movie in years.

One of my favorites is another Peter Wier thriller called _The Last Wave._ It's a slow burn, with no jump scares, but the atmosphere of dread is thick enough to slice. One bizarre flaw: American actor Richard Chamberlain plays an Aussie. I'm an American, myself, but even to me, his accent sounded dodgy as hell. I first saw it when I was kid and it has stayed with me ever since.

Love all of the Wolf Creek stuff (tv show was pretty good) and the Loved Ones is a really good horror movie!

Lake mungo is definitely my favorite film on this list. I loved it. I also really enjoyed the tunnel, the babadook, and picnic at hanging rock, even though that last one really frustrated me. I've been meaning to see cargo forever.
Have you ever seen the 1985 film fortress? it may have been made for TV it's hard for me to remember, but I enjoyed it when I was a teenager.

So many great films!! I'm happy to say I've seen almost all of these, but I will have to look in to the few I haven't.
I'm so glad to see Razorback here! I saw it as a kid, when it hit VHS, then again as an adult. It's such a gorgeous movie, with a fantastic tone. One of my all time favorites. I'm so happy to have been exposed to Australian horror as a kid, cause there's so many greats out there.
I understand this is a horror top 20 list, so I can see why it wouldn't make the cut, but The Horseman (NOT HorsemEn, totally different movie) is an amazing Australian revenge film that any revenge film fan should see.

Again, this is just 20 films, it’s not the be all end all or top films ever. There’s always room for a part 2
