the one thing I say AoE did best is involve the human protagonist in the conflict. felt epic seeing Cade actually participating in the fight. Not just screaming on the sidelines

I personally love the bay films but although I do kinda get way some people don't like me but you gotta give Steve Jablonsky a lot of credit for the awesome soundtracks in each film
In my opinion, each Bayverse movie has a somewhat unique style to it. In Transformers (2007) it has introduced us to the Autobot & Decepticon conflict, in ROTF, it had an ancient evil trying to destroy earth, DOTM gave us the meaning of a war in the form of Transformers in the end, AOE had the Autobots losing almost everyone they knew, but they met new allies in the end, & TLK had forshadowed Unicron & gave us knight Transformers! Sure, there might be bad things about the Bayverse, but what matters is that each one was enjoyable, even the last knight had an enjoyable battle that I liked it.
You know what I’ve always wondered? Since the AllSpark is no more, and there has been the failed attempt at Sun harvesting, where the hell do the Cybertronians get their Energon in the movies? And I’m not just talking about Autobots, but the Decepticons, as well...
That's a good question. At least in Transformers: Prime, there was an explanation in that series. During the Cybertronian civil war, the Autobots and Decepticons launched supplies of Energon off world, and some of them eventually made it to Earth, and formed Energon mines. I'm sure that is how they kept theirselves alive in TFP, but I'm not sure about the movies. Maybe a similar thing took place off screen
