- By far the most interesting part of the movie for me was Lockdown, a menacing, ruthless bounty hunter that, until he became far less compelling and more boring halfway through, was a true force to be reckoned with. Jablonksy created one of my favorite modern villain themes, using sirens, electronic thumps, and everything else at his disposal to evoke how terrifying and domineering Lockdown is.

@@WolfClaws20 no he was not. He was a bounty hunter, unaligned. Some versiins of him have a history of being a Decepticon formerly, like the Animated version for example, but this one was never aligned with anyone. He always worked for those who pay him. Period

Michael Bay didn't take the best decisions with the TF universe, but we have to admit, Steve Jablonksy and the CGI team never disappointed us

Why aren't they using whatever "automobiles" means in their own alien/cybertron language. Also... if automobiles exist in cybertron... why is the automobile form of autobots designed to fit humans? Humans don't exist on cybertron, or do they?

@@QuinnTheTailor "autobot" is basically a translated from Cybertronian language to English so technically auto transforming you could say so they both mean the exact thing so instead of them saying "automobiles" they call it "Autobots" so once People start understanding that it sort of makes a lot more sense then it should
While the last two Transformers movies directed by Micheal Bay had a lot to be desired Lockdown was perfect. Especially the music.
Like the mythology arround Dragonstorm in The Last Knight was perfect so bad all of the movie doesn’t follow

After TF 1, never thought another bayverse villain might bring the terrifying feeling of dread, despair and utter helplessness that lockdown did. He wasn't playing around, he wasn't screaming at his incompetent second in command or relying on another bigger villain; he meant business, was cold and to the point and gave optimus one hell of a fight till the end.
wish we got to see Lockdown kill some Decepticons as well as Autobots, that would show how ruthless he really is

Too be fair, it just depends on who's hiring him or which side has the bigger price.
The autobots could hand him a couple of space money and he'd be more then down to be a good guy for a specified amount of time hunting deceptions.
Unfortunately the Decepticons and the Quintessons are the one hiring him in basically every incarnation.
Most of Lockdown character building come from this ost, basically there is no back story, no real presence, his soul come from the music, but a badass music yup

If I could wish to have the skills, aura, and demeanor of any single cybertronian, It’s gonna go to lockdown. The next closest two would be Ratchet and Prime.
Lockdown has a threatening presence, and has gained reputation for his work, and is completely ruthless in his work. He is a machine through and through, and that’s what makes him so terrifying. He gave no care nor did he show remorse. A soldier, a mercenary to the finest definition.
Prime, not because of his strength, but his leadership and his charisma. Motivation to make fighting continue in the light of good, and to keep morale and the spirit high, even in darkest times through conflict.
Ratchet, kind and caring through and through. Willing to die for his loyalty to the cause and his allies, and show mercy until he is entirely forced not to.
