Hey! Thank you and I have no plans for that. I actually have several machines in my shop that I never use for my videos. You can't teach someone by using machines that they don't have access to.
Matthew, Greetings from Detroit, MI. I followed your plans and completed my birdhouse over several weekends using five pickets. As a beginner, it was a very satisfying project, with minimal cost and probably 10 hours of work. My mistakes were not expensive. The only problem was that the pickets warp quite a bit so nothing really lined up easily. I added a scrap of Tyvek underneath the shingle strips to try to keep the rain out of the interior. I'm really happy with the result and look forward to attempting your other project ideas.
Mathew's plans, cut sheet, all of it was easy to follow and my first Purple Martin Birdhouse was a great success! Your videos have a focus on selling and marketing, which for me helps you standout in a big way. Thanks Mathew.

very nice. !All my projects are made with wood that is discarded. That is what brings me joy as beauty can come from unusual sources …..which actually gives one Hope!
I just completed your Martin box but I scaled it down to 3 sections. Your instructional skills are a pleasure to follow and I like your material managing. After cutting the roof slats from the pickets you just happen to have a 5/8 piece left to use on posts and corners. I have made a few of your projects but I also scaled them down. Everyone that sees them want me to make one. Thank you for your videos and I look foreward to more projects.
I just finished this one. When I brought it in the house my wife wouldn't believe that I built it, she thought I bought it. Thanks for the great video and detailed plans on Etsy.
Just finished up this project with your Etsy plans and it turned out really cool. My wife laid claim to it right after the 3 walls were attached. So I guess this one will be zero profit. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great build, only thing I will suggest (because I am a roofer) is overlap the from bottom to top so water sheds off and the birdhouse last a lot longer. But this is great thanks for the content, I seen a lot of your videos.
That setup for cutting the notches in the shingles was such a nice and simple but very effective solution and I was totally unaware my saw had a depth stop lol I've always just set the table saw way low.
i built a naivety barn for my church but cut very thin slivers of timber for the shingles and stained them and lacquered. I really like how you did it but I would put an exterior lacquer on the roof to protect from the elements.
I just built the farmhouse style planter from pallets. It took a lot longer than it should have, but it's a good starting point to get some money for fence slats. The premium slats are 4.50 at my local lumber yard, and anything of lesser quality might as well be recycled pallets. I made the cedar planter too, and it turned out really nice. Love your channel.
You're killing me man. One great idea after another but I'm keeping up. I have attempted to make at several of your projects in this series. I'm having fun. Thank you.

Nice job! Will probably make one for the wifey. Do not need a cut list. Just the idea. I have a drafting table I draw plans on. That is half the fun. Retirement is good! Keep up the great videos!!
You are a magician buddy. This is amazing. Did you 3-picket planter a couple weeks ago and people are literally freaking out about the cost & quality of it. This birdhouse is beautiful and you make it look easy. Going to hit one of these up soon. Can't wait to customize it as well. Thanks Matthew!
Thanks Paul! Yes people love the planters! And customizing them is the fun part! If you made them to match a customers house... You could make a fortune.
I made custom outdoor lounge chairs, treated wood, beer bottle shaped back, cup/ bottle holders in tha arms, webbing below, to hold the beverage container. Had them for sale for 10 yrs, online, local neighborhood yard sale website, and, at the only waterfront restaurant in town. Back then, $34.00 in materials, all day to make one. Asked $150.00, haven't sold one.
Very cool build!! Am going to give it a shot myself! To increase customer satisfaction long-term anyone else who makes this will want to extend the box depth another 6" as 6"x12" boxes are now the recommended size compartments to increase PM colony survival. It'd be cool if it could also be made to mount on a taller post (12' - 18') to also align with current recommendations to protect against predators. Again, think it's awesome you put it out there in the world :)
This is beautiful. Interestingly enough my cousin suggested I make two birdhouses for Christmas as replicas of my mom and uncles cottages. Great ideas on how to make the shingles and siding.
One thing you might want to add to the design is a few small holes or cuts in the floor of each compartment. Will allow for any liquid that gets in (either rain, dewm or from the birds) to drain out and increase the birdhouses life a bit and its pretty easy to do. Overall awesome project, would be kind of fun to see a small railing on the front like a southern plantation house. Not sure if that would dissuade the birds though.
Actually its kinda necessary to prevent the young Martins from falling that might wonder out of the box! It won't dissuade the adult Purple Martins one bit!
This is getting my juices flowing mate. Nearly there with the materials for my modest workshop build and this channel has really put a rocket up my backside. Really appreciate all your advice mate. Great videos

Wow birdhouses. I have not made one since I was a boy scout. True I dont see them nearly at all in stores and if I do they best for only finches or other very small birds. i can get behind this type of project.
Awesome channel !!! I'm new to the channel but very impressed at how you teach people what and how to make things to sell in Thier local Facebook market ...One if not the favorite channel I watch....thank you for a helpful and unselfish program I think u will have great success with it
Thank you!
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking I wanted to ask you have you gotten any feed back on the corn hole boxes? I'm wondering how well they are selling across the country.I live in a farm community and thought about building a few but in my area there are alot of old times that still love horseshoes and washers .I have a DeWalt scroll saw as well as a few other basic wood working tools .I've been looking for some small projects that might sell.It seems to me that simple wood boxes of any kind are easy to sell.I use to get alot of pallets and break them down and plane the boards but lately seems everyone is grabbing the pallets....Great content as always I enjoy your channel !!!!
This little bird-house looks great. Thanks again for the tips and congrats to the winner of your game. Have a great week. Enjoy.
Thanks Renier! You too!
I start making bird houses in February cause late March and April is when I have requests for them and I'm stocked up. They are my biggest sellers.
Great birdhouse
Thanks!
AWESOME,,,GLAD TO HAVE FOUND YOUR CHANNEL
Love your videos brother. I watch them all. Giving it a try myself. I look to your videos for ideas and inspiration. Thank you
Thats awesome man. Thanks for supporting the channel and glad that I can help a bit.
You are a genius my friend! The ideas and simple to follow instructions is second to none! Thank you Matthew!
Thanks Terry! Glad you enjoy the channel!
Thanks Matthew!
how much are you getting/charging for the planters?
Thanks Paul! Yes people love the planters! And customizing them is the fun part! If you made them to match a customers house... You could make a fortune.
Hello Matthew, glad to see another great project using these fence pickets. Keep up the great work. Thanks.
Thanks, will do!
Great build. And many interesting techniques along the way. Thanks for sharing the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another terrific build and great video. You are a great addition to the woodworking community and awesome teacher !!!! THANK YOU....
Thank you very much!
I made this last week. I didn't get the plans but with the cut list and the video it came out pretty good.
Man if it wasn't 10pm here id make one right now!
Maybe in the morning
I love building bird houses…❤️
One thing you might want to add to the design is a few small holes or cuts in the floor of each compartment. Will allow for any liquid that gets in (either rain, dewm or from the birds) to drain out and increase the birdhouses life a bit and its pretty easy to do. Overall awesome project, would be kind of fun to see a small railing on the front like a southern plantation house. Not sure if that would dissuade the birds though.
Actually its kinda necessary to prevent the young Martins from falling that might wonder out of the box! It won't dissuade the adult Purple Martins one bit!
Thanks for the project it was fun making with my son
This is getting my juices flowing mate. Nearly there with the materials for my modest workshop build and this channel has really put a rocket up my backside. Really appreciate all your advice mate. Great videos
Love your purple martin 🐦 house I will definitely be make and putting my own spin on it, thanks Matt I really like your program.
I absolutely love your videos! Content is always on point and your delivery is great and down to earth. There is nothing I hate more than those overly hyped, fake, cookie cutter UA-cam videos. True pro when it comes to wood working and UA-cam.
Thanks Travis! I just try to do me.
Hey Matthew,
This is a great diy, many thanks. I made several of the full size ones and got some requests for a half size one. I added my own twist and some humorous signage…
Keep those helpful tutorials coming!👍

Love the wood Mailboxes I have seen made too!
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful video! You are very talented.
Thank you!
So great … thank you for sharing. I do not have your work equipment…But I will try to do it.!!Greetings from Rabat Morocco.
Haha I did the math on the amout of screws in all the boxes you had shown in that video and added a few more for error and came up with 377 ..so close haha ..thanx for the chance ..and the awesome videos
Hmm .... very suspicious...dose this actually work on people? It clearly says this account is 3 days old 🤪
After hearing those prices I'm building bird houses! And planters and obelisks and whirlygigs, and cat trees and plant stands, lol! Wish I had some kids! Thank you for all your wonderful videos, Matt!
Don’t forget the squirrel tables. for the love of God the squirrel tables!!!!!
@@Slyfox1775 Thank you! Almost forgot! Good thing I "squirreled" away lots of lumber over the years! lol
And I still forgot! Guess I'm getting old. But I'll never grow up, anyway!
@@Slyfox1775 Do you find that they are still popular?
I've built some, just haven't advertised them yet.
Love this Martin house!!!
I love this project and looking forward to making them to sell. Thank you so much.
Thanks Teresa! They are fun to build!
Always wanted to build these but never had a clue, thanks Matt!!!!!!!!! Or Matthew?
I could have made this with your instructions in the video and description. However, I bought the plans on Etsy because I really appreciate your content!
Thanks so much Silent G. Thats how I fund the channel. People think that YT pays well... lol... thats not the case. But I want folks that may not be able to afford the plans to still be able to do the builds. I've been there...
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking For the record, I thought the price of the plans was a bit high. However, when I got them I saw they were totally worth it! Man, those plans are awesome!
Thank you for all the great ideas.
No worries!
That a very. Nice bird house I am going to attempt. To build one thank you
Great video! Another project that I am looking forward to trying!
Mathew, this is awesome! Thanks for all you do for the Woodworking Community. This is what has been going on in the Beekeeping Community also. Lots of information sharing and new friends. A Cut List would be helpful.
Ironically I raise bees as well. Hey so sorry I forgot to put it in! I just put it in the description.
It has.
Click on the info section. Scroll down. Full cut lists are provided for all of these projects in this series. :)
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking Thank you very much. I have been designing Horizontal Long Hives for Langstroth Deep Frames. I have sold a couple locally, but not sure how to ship them cheaply. I have been trying to think out of the box and came up with my own 9 frame 3 tier Observation Hives. 4 Different designs and have made 1 prototype so far.
Matthew , I always enjoy watching your build videos. You are very creative and come up with great ideas. Using fence pickets is a brilliant idea! Keep up the great work!
Thanks Michael!
Great build. Please keep the money making videos coming.
That's the plan!
Great project.
Thanks!
I made one today. Turned out great. Thanks for the video and plans on etsy.
This is a beautiful birdhouse. However, please make sure you build in a way to open it to clean it out! Most birdhouses have to be emptied occasionally. Thank you.
Learned quite a lot on this video. Thanks.
Thanks for another great design. I just had someone ask me to build them a birdhouse 2 days after watching your video.
Brilliant, enjoying this series!
Thanks Ken!
Hey Matt, I might make this, but I would glue up the base and the partition and useless pocket hole screws. That's how I would do it but that's just me. But you did another fine job showing how to make this project. Keeping the good work Buddy
Thanks Mike!
I think I like your channel man, bring it, thank you!
Oh my goodness! I love this!
Made my first one just a couple boo boo’s the next will be easier. Thanks for the video
Matthew, Thank you for your content.I have been finding your chanell to be invaluable resource
You could add two holes on the roof for more bird house space
Love your ideas
