I picked up this same beautiful Bowie at Cabela's for $170. Thank you for explaining about whether or not to store it in or out of the sheath. Seems some people say it's fine to store it in the sheath, while others say not to. I immediately took mine out of the sheath after watching your video.
I have this blade sence 4th July 2018 Works like a charm still hair popping sharp after many fish cleaned fire wood processed ect it is easy to put an edge back on and a pice of mind when I travel around
I believe the actual ancient Damascus steel was 'wootz" steel. This is folded steel but wootz is an ancient fine grained steel that was used in the levant area and also India. Theres an excellent youtube documentary of Al Pendray and the riddle of wootz steel. Well worth watching.
Wow Gus Wolf that is one good looking knife. I own two bear & Son Gold Rush Bowies the large and the medsize and after watching your video man the next Bear & Son Bowie i get will be the Damascus love your video.
I have that knife. your quality control guy must have missed mine. the grind from side to side is horribly uneven. the only reason I keep it is because it was a gift from my wife.
those are beautiful knives but they are always out of stock! I want a wilderness bowie and several other from them! Also, you can pick this one up from bass pro for $170! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@coltonthompson958 that’s awesome my man it’s a gem!
It is Stag Antler; not the shinbone of a cow !!!!!
No, I am correct. I spoke directly with Bear and Son.
Agreed antler not bone, if they told you bone they were mistaken😩@@gustifer0311
