Fully understand why you love the Barlows. I got a Rough Rider Desert Fox Barlow about six weeks ago. It is absolutely my favorite EDC. Since I am no longer out in the field covering the Army and am more an office kind of guy, it is really perfect for me. And at $13, if I lose it or mess it up, no big deal. Of course, I do want to get a "nicer" Barlow for my collection. Been thinking of a Bear and Son and then, you posted this. You are a BAD man, Mr. Baxters Blades.

They are Great quality! Every once and a while they go on sale also. I liked this one so much i ordered a modern D2 version and a Carbon steel in walnut!
Very nice Barlow. I have one Bear and Son knife. It's a lock back I bought on my Birthday at the factory in Jacksonville. I need to get more since they are made in Alabama and I live in Alabama. A Barllw would be a great second Bear and Son. Thanks for the video.

I love mine in delrin. Especially for 31 bucks on sale. Though it wasn't razor sharp. It's a true traditional, unlike Rosecraft. I kinda want the stag bone or white bone.
I got one. They had their steel listed as “high carbon stainless steel”. I ordered it HOPING it was carbon steel-found out the hard way it’s stainless. Not sure why they list it that way.
Yah. SMKW? They do that some times. Or it is 420HC. Not really sure what stainless they use. Still great for the price. They do have carbon alternatives but not as nice looking in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

I bought this in yellow Delrin, stag bone, and rosewood. I had to return the stag bone and rosewood. The stag bone had a pin crack and the rosewood had a crack in the wood handle. SMKW would only refund my money. They would not swap them out.
@@BaxtersBlades I really like this pattern. I wish Case had my one like it. No issues mechanically with them. Just the covers. The yellow Delrin was the first one I bought and it is awesome. I was surprised SMKW said they would only return it for refund. They paid the shipping. The pin crack on mine was just too much. I looked at it every time I picked the knife up. lol.. Maybe I will give it another shot and buy another one.
@@yamaha226 Sorry to hear that Yamaha. I ride Honda but yamaha is another great moto. Some Case come sharp 20%. 60% i have to ceramic rod and strop. The last 20% need a whole new edge. Just send it back for an exchange you may luck out.😂
I have a B S yellow barlow. The pen blade has a poor temper that literally dulls on 2 inches of note card paper!!!!!!! I keep shortening the edge. It may be hopeless. The works are iffy! Not worth 50 bucks! CS USA on blades. Never have had carbon blades being soft! Luckily the long blade is tempered so I can use it. Assembled USA from chineeze??? Sure seems so to me! Last years model. My SAKVICs and JOKERS 1.4116 and carbons are top notch like MORAKNIV!!!!!! Just saying I am sorry I bought it! Never again!!!!!!! Fake USA!!!!!!!
I had two of these arrive last week. The blade itself is excellent but the handles on both are piss poor. The India stag bone was absolutely appalling ( much worse than on the knife in this video) Literally a 5 year old with a dremmel could have done a better job. Compare this to case bone stag or even the queen it’s toy town. It’s a shame as the blades and grinds put case to shame. I have dyed mine, one orange and one black and they now look much better. This really could have been a great knife.
