I'd love to handpick a well made British knife some time in 2025. I bought a TW Ablett a couple of decades ago and it left me a bit disillusioned. The blade centering is so bad that I think they ground the blade down on one side so it doesn't rub against the liner. I also have a British Army Knife that just has "sheffield england" on the tang stamp and the issue details on one side. Solid as they get and the can opener is impossible to open by hand. The old world has to step up its craftsmanship to compete with the east.
