If you're new to skating, I have a bunch of other tutorials on my channel, like this ollie tutorial: ua-cam.com/users/shorts6k3TqEizoac?feature=share. Subscribe for more skating!
@@karlpickleton8708 oh yea i can now kickflip, olli, and im trying to learn how to grind a rale rn but im more of a cruiser tbh but thanks for askin homie 🤙
I think it's worth mentioning when you push you should squat a little with your front foot and try to keep most of your weight on that foot. I had a bad habit of basically putting all my weight on the pushing foot and was leaning over that left instead of squatting on the front foot.
Good point about keeping most of your weight on the front foot as you push; as you mentioned, you'll need to squat a little with your front foot, so your back foot can reach the ground. Thanks!
@@RegularJason yea i used to just drop into the pushing leg (like going down stairs) instead of squatting and keeping my weight in the right place. I was more of hopping instead of pushing. I guess the proper technique may come more naturally to younger skaters, but I started at 27 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For sure, I got you! The "Skate Basics Tutorials" playlist on my channel has my past tutorials, and I'll add future ones to that playlist too. Glad it helped, have fun!
I've been trying to do an Ollie multiple times but I literally went insane when I realized I had to turn my foot once im moving on the board. Update: I can do a Nollie properly now
I think that everyone who posts a skateboard tutorial for beginners always forgets to say, balance is an important key, just like riding a bike balance is everything, once you got that under control then its pretty much not trying to let fear get the best of you.
Hi fellow beginners! As a beginner myself learning how to ride the skateboard like this took me days or a little over a week to know. So just remember to be patient with learning, wear protective gear, practice often, and have fun! Edit: I just fell down when trying to ride the skateboard outside for the first time lmao. It happened today so if this happened to you, don’t be too embarrassed, it happens sometimes.
I went to a skatepark for the first time a couple days ago!! I'm still learning to push and cruise comfortably but it was so much fun! I worked on carving turns a bit and even went down a little slope! There was almost nobody there to see me fall on my face except a scooter kid, who ALMOST snaked me like 3 times (he was super nice tho plus he was like 8 and nowhere near as bad as a lot of scooter kids ive seen in the wild)
Started skating a long time ago but this is a nice honest way to teach how to push and ride. Reminds me of when my neighborhood friends taught me how to ride a bike, or scooter, or skateboard. Keep it up
you wouldn't believe that people actually need these basics ,people that actually already ride and want to do Tre flips ,laser flips and heelflips can't even kick turn on transition.....And so many skaters want to do all these heal and flip tricks at slower than walking speed.... Skateboarding has really lost a lot of its ass and speed in the past 20 years.... Great tutorial.
im new to skateboarding and i have good balance on the bored i just need to get better at the balance when moving and learn how to go down drive ways more better and get confortable with pushing and leaning when turning
Hi there, I have a hole forming at the bottom of my shoe but at the bottom of my front foot, not the pushing foot. So it looks like it's from pivoting the front foot. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Thanks. ☺️
I'm trying to practice the pivot of the front foot but I think the sandpaper it's too new and my shoe gets so stuck that is hard for me to change positions, is that something that happens? Do y'all rough up the sand paper a little or leave it like that and wait?

Yes, I'm all for learning the basics first. Thanks!
bro is the goldengully of skating
I didn’t know you had to do this haha thanks!
Important tip: lean forward while riding so you don’t die
Thank you!
sometimes the board is too stiff when you first buy it, a good idea is to loosen it up with a tutorial on youtube or the Internet.
Do one on how to ride on a bumpy road.
Omg thank you so much
thanks that will help me alot❤😊
Thanks man! This was helpful!
You're welcome :) Have fun learning to skate!!
Thank you for helping me
Nice 👍
I finally know how to turn
Very helpful
The leaning psrt to turn is scary
I can only do this on my right foot lol

You sound like GoldenGully.
Thanks for the info.
Finely. Thanks dude.

TY so much
Thank you
it depends on turning, whether you use a loose trucks or a tight one
I still can’t turn with leaning, only if I raise the front of the board
Where can I buy a skateboard?? I have always been super interested in learning how to skateboard but idk where to get one lol
I judt feel like im gonna fall off as soon as i start riding
I just got a new skateboard in 6 years I am just starting back I was never really good but I would like to learn
I finally know how turn
actually tho, i thought this was stupid when i first saw it, lowkey helped thanks man😂
Helpful thx
I push slower and pushing slower makes the board go faster and i recommend to not push fast it wont make any balance but do what suits you:)
Weird question but should i put my right foot on the skateboard or the left one 😅
learned ez thx
Just fell off my new skateboard and now my arms and knees are bleeding but that won't stop me until I get it right.
Hi there, I have a hole forming at the bottom of my shoe but at the bottom of my front foot, not the pushing foot. So it looks like it's from pivoting the front foot. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Thanks. ☺️
what kind of skateboard are you using cuz my is hard to play
Is pivoting the front foot optional or
Im too scared😂😂
I have the bored i need to find a flat place😂
hey i got a question, the wheels on my skateboard dont move at all unlike yours, is it supposed to?
I'm trying to practice the pivot of the front foot but I think the sandpaper it's too new and my shoe gets so stuck that is hard for me to change positions, is that something that happens? Do y'all rough up the sand paper a little or leave it like that and wait?
I would start skateboarding again but the this is a have steap hills everywhere
hii i always wobble and lose my balance when trying to move the front foot to the side. any idea how to prevent this?? thanks
You taught me how to do this and now i skate
Reels
Solid, glad to hear it
My feet and calf cramp a lot with the feet placement, any advice?
