genuinely the clearest explanation of an ollie ive seen on youtube
Agreed
I used to skate with Tim alot best skater around and super humble cool guy all around
dude you’re glazing so hard
Best video I’ve seen after 10 years of wanting to skateboard but never doing the Ollie, finally did
Thanks I’ve been practicing my Ollie’s for a while now
11 years soaring and I can’t get my ollie to look like this still
Don't give up!
Deadass did it first try after this explanation
CRAZYY
Looks quite easy can't wait to try it out tommorow
@Billybob he’s gotta learn somehow 😂😂😂😂😂
It's not
rip
Lol
Skating canon event
"If it feels like a ninja kick, you're doing it right" has gotta be the most helpful words 🙌🏾
my main take away, have GOOD vertical jumping skills!!!
Thats the greatest Ollie instruction I have ever seen!
this is the most helpful ollie video i’ve ever seen
You give an unstable amount of confidence that I could do this right now.
Far more detailed than any of the already helpful videos I’ve seen before, an issue I also have it I can practice on tarmac or concrete without the board sliding out from underneath me, usually forward
What do I do with my flailing arms?
Oop I see an ut-0
Such a stylish Ollie! Clear and concise as well. Loved it!
A skateshop owner that practices what he preaches!
I love it ❤️💯😄👌🏼
out of all the ollie tutorials I watched this was the one that got me to do it
Love to hear this!
I skated in my teens, but I have a leg injury and find it difficult to ride regular (like I used to). I am so glad to hear that you’re jumping before popping, making it easier on my now bad leg, which has become my popping foot.
Thank you for this little tip, I hope it will help!
He has a beautiful ollie
this is a dope Short & contains solid advice that is not cryptic or obtuse in its demonstrative.
take it to the bank🤙🏻
Bonus points to you for your vocabulary. 🙌😆
thats so detailed. good work 🔥💯
This is hands down the best Ollie tutorial on UA-cam, you are amazing!! Just earned a new sub.
This was really helpful, as I have just gotten into doing tricks. I started skating with a surfskate, then bought and element board bc I wanted to learn tricks. Thank you so much!!! ❤❤
Literally the best vid for beginners
Thanks for your help😊
SO clear, also so beautiful in slow mo
One of the best explanations ive seen
Concise explanation. This is great.
thanks dude i am watching this before i go skateboarding all alone in the street
Guys the thing that was literally a life saver for me was to take a slo mo video of myself attempting it and then comparing the way I did it to the way this guy does it
this is the best ollie tutorial ever in 1 minute
1 min from now I'll be the coolest dad in he coldisac
Clean af bro
i think i finally got it, after dozens of videos
I have seen countless tutorials and I know exactly what I should do but I can't 😪

Really broke down the movements, gonna go out and put it to the test
So you use your ankle to pop? Not the pressure from your whole leg?
I can't do it
Is it better to learn it moving or stoped
I really need help on my Ollie’s it’s like I know the motion I just can’t jump high enough
damn i know what park that is i live right next to it to the pool to
Try holding onto a low fence and practice your ollie's.
agreed
The 1k like 🎉🎉🎉
#Clean
Pop the tail with your ankle AFTER you jump. This is an extremely important overlooked part of the trick. If you try to pop and jump in the same exact motion it won’t work.
weres the vans?
Literally watched twice tried it once and almost landed it 💀
I never knew you were supposed to actually jump when you ollie
Whenever I go to land my board moves in an opposite direction… does anyone know why
Can someone help me like when I Ollie I get everything down it’s just that my foot stays on the nose and I fall forward like I can’t bring it back down. So can someone help me
I’ve been trying for a while and I can’t kick my foot when I try jumping 😔😔
I JUST CANT SLIDE MY LEFT FOOT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I can’t figure out how to do it
When i do it the skateboard just flies fowards after popping instead of staying where it should be, any tips?
If the board is flinging forward, then you might be leaning too far on your back foot. You have to jump straight upward and do so with 100% commitment to try to land back on it. Have you checked out the full tutorial? You got this! 🙌ua-cam.com/video/XLXGEBRn_e8/v-deo.html
@@tacticsboardshop thx
I tried this for years and I could never come close to pulling it off :/
Jc skateparkkkk
It's a long way
The tip that was life changing for me: jump off THE TAIL, not the ground!!!!
I can’t slide my foot because of the grip tape
I'm having trouble bringing my back leg up after popping it and bringing my front foot forward more, I wish I was a regular instead of goofy it would make it much easier to learn tricks because I'm regular for snowboarding 😭
If you ride regular on a snowboard you should ride regular on a skateboard too
@@killianlake That's not no rule... My dad riders regular on snowboard and surfboard, but rides goofy on a skateboard.
Does anyone know the model of the adidas he is wearing?
They're the adidas Matchbreak Super 👟👍

i'd say trying to go straight into ninja kick ollies is a bit extereme I know people who have skated for a long time and don't even ollie that well. you really don;t need to do the push down motion.
look this will teach you to ollie but its up to you to land it straight and not 90 degrees to the right like me all the time lol
Good stuff man
I just fall
I tried this today and it made no sense to me for some reason :(
Pop OUT guys, not straight down...
Pretty much the same as a kickflip without the flick
You honestly shouldn't Ollie like that unless your nose-bonking something... "You're gonna have a bad time". Zero hang time. Carry that front foot as long as you can. Just saying new buck...
First
You can't even skate
Doesnt work
You must practice hard a lot for work to do.
Best trick tip I'll try this standing still on the board first then try to do it rolling once or twice a week when I skateboard 🛹 have no more time to do it I work 5 days a week
