SKATE TIP: How To Teach Dad To Drop In To Mini Ramp
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лис 2022
- We feel that the best way to learn something is to teach it. So after Cashy recently learned how to drop in on her own, Nick decided to have her teach him. His thought process is that she, upon her next skate sesh, will remember the intricacies of how to drop in. Thus giving her the confidence that she can do it again and again.
As a person who went to college to become a teacher, teaching to others is a solid way to show the comprehension of the skill. It allows one to explain what they have learned but explain it in their own words.
As you see in this video, Cashy forgets a few key points to a successful drop in. However by having her teach (with a little bit of my help), it will engrain the small details for her to have her own voice remind her the steps to be successful dropping in on her own.
To be honest, we don’t know if this is the best way or the “right” way but it’s what seems to be working and as they say (who’s they?) “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!”

She’s going to dominate every board sport in the Olympics in about 12 years!
If she takes that path, it will be wild to see her journey
I love the parent's response. Good attitude, it's up to her.
She is doing great either way
Has she done a hiy drop in befou

The amount of lessons you are providing to her without her really even realizing it is amazing. The confidence in speaking what you have taught her is awesome. It also is reinforcing that knowledge because instead of hearing it from you two, she is speaking it. Just a blast watching her blossom. You have so many admirers!
Beautifully put!
We do indeed learn a great deal when we teach 💗
I was thinking the same. Very well said!
As the dad of a 3 year old girl you have just given me so many parenting lessons…great job little one and huge shout out to the parents…
My tutu superhero, you are such a cute and sweet little girl!! You guys are doing an amazing job! She's so brave!
Thank you so very much!
Love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕
She's such a role model for me lol. Little leader
Go Riley!!! 😊😊😊

You two doing parenting so so right and amazing. She's going to grow up with so much knowledge, skills, joy and a very encouraged sense of adventure and fun. Keep it up!
Love that yall gave Cash the chance to teach what she's learned.🤙🏼💚🤘🏻 We'll blink and Cash will be training Olympic X-Games! 🙌🏼💪🏼
I really can’t get enough of this…the adorable factor is through the roof.
She’s definitely gonna be a pro skater when she’s older (if she wants to), no doubt about it the amazing talent she has at such a young age and how you guys are encouraging her and supporting her provides a great environment I know she’s gonna do good ❤❤❤❤❤
can I just say I love how you added the “if she wants to” because I feel like these days children are forced into things they don't necessarily want to do. Like just because they can do it, parents think they're whole life is set because of one skill that their child might not even enjoy. if what I just said didn't make sense then squint really hard
@@skip_the_ads ya lol
She probably already is one if not she's gonna be before she's a teen
You guys should see her snowboarding! She's queen of the hill! 🦸🏼♀️🏂🧚
This lil one has captured all our hearts 💕
That’s where all those hearts came from under her bed 😘
Please tell me the location of snowboarding, where you go?
She’s so patient and kind, and a great teacher, she will walk into a skate park and wow everyone, she is awesome!!
I feel like even im learning! You know you know something reallly well when you can teach it!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seee!!!!!! She’s an amazing teacher 🤣🤣🤣 Oh man I had a great laugh watching this, definitely wasn’t a “you just do this” like you thought 🤣🤣 girl gave full of play by plays💜💜💜💜💜
She got it dialed and did a great job breaking it down!
qwek
😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤩😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
She’s going to be a professional young skateboarder when she grows up. She’s already doing so good.
"NO right He-RE" LOL got me dying 😂🤣
Something tells me awesome dad already knew this, but is basking in his wonderful daughters knowledge 😊😘🤩
I was thinking or wondering the same thing but I’m pretty sure he already knew ALL of that. I love when he just don’t so ok and go the first time. He did it wrong so she could correct him. That did more for her confidence than you realize…. Well you probably do. That’s why you did it, that reinforces what she knows.
she’s only five and already a pro! that’s awesome!! 💪🏻
💜💜
wow, I remember when you guys were first teaching her this and now she is repeating back every step you though her perfectly 🤯.. Go Cashy 👍🏼.. I'm gonna remember that name bcoz I'm sure we gonna see her in the winter Olympics or xgames in the future!!
you thought her so well mom n dad 🤙🏼
edit.. PS, she does a goofy stance like me🙈😆I just noticed, and dads skating "the proper" way lol.
Lol no proper way. Just what feels natural!
Both goofy and regular are "proper". Only mongo is considered "not proper".
I'm goofy as well.
Wait, he taught her and now she is teaching him? Am I missing something?
Wait! This is the snowboarding cutie, right? Awwww 💕
Honestly if I was taught how to skate by a child vs an adult I wouldn’t be too hard on myself and I’d probably end up being able to skate for more than 10 feet without falling lmaooo she’s a great teacher!
This girl is going places. If only I could get my daughter to snowboard and skate.
Just make it fun!
Consciously make a decision to offer a wide variety of experiences and let children discover their own passions. They may be a gifted musician or linguist or woodworker or chef or engineer or have an affinity with animals. It will be their own vocation that allows them to soar. :-)
Oh my….she’s such a great instructor!
She is SOOOO CUUUUTE‼️‼️‼️
And so fearless!!
Thank you letting her try instead of being towards the negative about it!!!
I LOVE watching your daughter conquer all these "tasks"!! Especially on her snowboard! She is absolutely AMAZING! Incredible parenting as well!! 😊👍❤
This makes my heart feel so full.
An amazing father
“Boom, there it is, yeah girl!” Proud mum moment. Give Dad a hand 😂 Thanks for sharing
I love it!!! She is the cutest. I love that she is a active little girl who dresses up in cute dresses while she proves she isn’t no wimpy girl.
Go👍👍👍😍
She is so cute
TY
So as someone who has never been on a skateboard before I just gotta say this was a GREAT lesson! I really feel like you gave me exactly what I would need to grab a skateboard and give it a try!
This is a very effective method for checking a student's understanding! And checking the teacher's thoroughness, too. Because experience often gives us intuitive leaps, it's easy to neglect a step when instructing a beginner. Having them tell you what to do can highlight gaps 😉
Oh my Goddess, this generation of little skateboard/snowboard kids never stops making me smile❤❤❤❤❤🙏💜💙💚🧡💛🙏❤❤❤❤❤
She is going to be a brave person when she grows up😍
Me, 23, physically unable to walk with my own two feet without falling, watching a 5 year old board shredder teach her dad how to drop in on a skateboard😵💫 Cash has given me motivation without even trying.
I love this! Teaching is actually an incredible way to reinforce knowledge, especially when you have someone like the dad here who is knowledgeable in the topic and can ask questions that endures the girl knows exactly how to perform the task. These guys are such great parents!
This is incredible you go, girl you did that!!! executed perfectly!!
Honestly no shade, I’m shocked she didn’t remind you to put on a helmet, but the way you encourage her Is perfect. Working in early years education, we say often, we can spot within minutes which children are spoken to, played with, taught and paid attention to at home and who isn’t. She’s a shining example, her confidence and communication skills are wonderful
These moments are key moments because the child will always remember that As a good moment!
Am I the only one who is watching the dog chew his toy? 😂❤
😂Soo darn cute 💯😂😂❤️❤️
The fact that she can skate at a young age while me here can't even roll on a flat surface without falling on my face
I cried to this.
It's always nice seeing a kid filled with joy doing what they would like to do and. Also being grateful doing so. Its sometimes nice when you can see someone else doing something you never could do and being impressed by it. I'm so proud of this kid and others that get to be free but also Learning and teaching others that need help. I hope everyone dosent give up on there dreams and always push forward. Farther then me. You did your best and it is okay to take a break but always keep going. Thank you for your time. Have a good holiday , day , or night.
I LOVE that she is shredding in her Princess dress!!! Awesome girl power!!!
Nice backyard
Thank you, it is the reason we bought the house. Small house, big yard!
Dog in the background got me with that ball 😂😂😂
The doggo jus eating the ball in the sideline 😅😅
These are amazing parents!
It's so gratifying to see a child being raised with such confidence. Cashy easily picks up on all the lessons she is being taught that it comes natural to her to be a teacher as well. Of course, we know the parents are gifted and talented. Keep up the great work.
You astroturfed the ramp to make it slower and easier to learn on! That's genius! I'm sure you've already gone over all of that, I've just never seen that before. Super cool idea! Frikn rad!!! ❤
I love her rainbow skateboard it's so cute!! 🥺
Me thinking they were over the ocean in the beginning 👁️👄👁️
I can’t be the only one…
She’s so talented
She is fearless and great at everything she does!
I love how she went “right HERE”
You two are such awesome parents 🥺
The doggo is enjoying the skating lesson tooo!!! Taking notes in the background! 🤣❤️🔥
She knows how to freaking drop it better than I can
Your a good dad and a great role model for people on how to be with their kids.
This kid is going places. She's already amazing :)
👍👍👍
Letting your kids 'teach' you (even things you already know) gives them great self confidence.
It's also the most reliable way to find out what they actually think and know.
That was exactly the lesson dad was going for here! It’s really cool to see her “teach” in her own way 🙌🏻
@@RowleyAdventures
I can see that's not dad's first time. 😉😊
Keep up the good parenting work.
It's pretty rare these days.
This kid is amazing yall are great parents for not letting a phone babysit your kid till they're 18 and push them into the world 😅
She's got a broader range of skills than most adults
She is more talented than me at skate board 😄😄
I got distracted by the dog absolutely chomping down on that tennis ball 😂
The dog chewing the ball in the background gotmy attention the whole time lol so cute
The dog in the background 🐶⚾️
His name is Waldo and as you can see he gets his Hype man status from his mom haha
The doggo in the back wants to play so badly 😂
Omg! 🥰 who ever wouldve thought that the statement "then you put this part over the coping," would be the cutest phrase ever said?!?! AWW! Adorable! What ever even IS "coping"?! Idk but I love her!!!! Lmao
I also love how the fog is so happy watching ❤
I love that she figuratively gave you that final push with her "Ready, Set, Go!!" ("I've already told you all that you need to know, Dad! So, just do it!!")
Good dad. That’s how to instill confidence in somebody. Make sure she helps you get it right. Bravo.
Not me crying 😩This is amazing I don’t know I got emotional while watching it 🥹🥹you guys are amazing parents! This little angel knows everything is possible because of you! God bless you all🙏🏽💙💫
Oh wow! She's immaculate. WOW 😳! Her ability to teach is simply magical. Her teaching skills will land her in the most prestigious company, just you watch and see.
The dog be ready to catch him 😂😂😂
She’s so talented 🥹
Yeaaah girl, she's gonna be BIG soon 🏁🔝
The dog was preparing for the worst 😂
Such a cute, happy dog 🐕
She is absolutely fearlessly adorable!!! Can’t wait to see her in the Olympics
Is there anything this smart little pumpkin cant do? You have done wonderful job parenting ,I love watching your Family Adventures 😊💖💖
This lil one gets all the hearts 💕
That dog was like: "you said chomp??"
She is an amazing person with 2 equally amazing parents. I have seen the snowboarding videos, she rocks. Great job on teaching, on all levels, her teaching and you guys teaching!!!
She so good she made me cry I love her
Teaching her how to teach and to do it patiently. Wonderful 😊😊
Not the dog in the bg 😂😂
The fact that the dog was right there the whole time😅
Already looks like a pro!❤
Wowww Cash is suuuuuperrrr smart, I'm her fans!! 🎉🎉🎉 counting for more of her journey!!
This child is bursting with self confidence! And she earned it!
She all the way like that!! 🤞🏾🏆💯 tough!!
Doggo is like "I'm here too!" 😍 🐕
I though the drop was high up I was having a mini heart attack for her 😭
Rock and Roll 🤘 Hearing her say coping might be the cutest thing I've heard 💚
I'm so happy that these parents are teaching their kids to have fun but be safe, especially protecting their heads.
That is awesome!! I recall watching the video of you guys teaching her how to do this...Priceless memories!!!!
I had to start following you guys because my son is starting to learn how to skateboard as well.
I tried a ramp and couldn’t figure it out and didn’t have anyone to teach me. After watching this video I want to try it again, but I think it’s kind of funny that I’m learning from a little kid. I love this family’s videos.
I love watching these young ladies do what they do without being confused about who they are!!! Do your thing babies. Thanks parents!
She’s super smart for her age the way she described dropping in, in detail, impressive.
