- I’m sorry I disappeared and did not say goodbye to you. Now that the dust has settled a bit I am hoping that you will join along with me while I try to start over. The hope is that this channel will bring you new ideas, challenges and a few laughs. For everyone who has been there from the beginning and those of you who have joined along the way ~ I want to say thank you for being so sweet and supportive. I never comment, but I LOVE your videos and was so sad they were all deleted. Started by just looking for plant care advice, wound up finding so much joy and inspiration in listening to your old channel. You always have "talking with a friend over a glass of wine" vibes, and I'm so glad to see you back!
(P.S. I got my first plant as a condolences gift after a signifigant loss. I had no idea how to care for it at first, but plant care wound up being a great coping skill. A few hundred plants and several years later, I realize that many people find houseplants to be a comfort during the grieving process. I'm so sorry for your loss.)
They absolutely do. I couldn’t have coped without rapidly building a collection to distract me from the grief of losing my mum. I aspired to be just like Amanda then and continue to do so and have a little ebay shop selling cuttings. Always learning and growing 🌱happy your back Amanda and sorry for your loss xx😊

The goes to show you that your channel is never yours. This queen knows her stuff. Some of her plants made me think they were fake because she is so gifted in how she grows. Never depend on this platform as your source. This has been happening a lot lately. Two other channels got shut down and they were not in this community.

You were one of the first plant UA-camrs that got me into plants, and your lighthearted spirit and comedic antics always brought a smile to my face. I completely understand how difficult it must be for you right now to start over after so many years of hard work and creativity. But even in the darkest times, there is light to be found. I am one of your followers from Russia, and I was part of the opera company of one of the country's most prestigious theaters. When the war in Ukraine began, I had to leave Russia for Kazakhstan, a place I never imagined I would find myself in. I lost my position in the theater, as did many others. It was not easy for me in Kazakhstan, far from home. When the mobilization in my country ended (and all the men were being taken to the war, even from the city metro), I returned to St. Petersburg and realized I needed a distraction. I found the strength and desire to continue my vocal path. One of the activities that distracted me from the surrounding horror was houseplants. They give me strength and inspiration. The horror around me hasn't disappeared-my country is now under a totalitarian regime, and if I say anything against the government, I will be imprisoned for more than 20 years. But this is my home. The plants and your creativity have inspired me to keep going even in the most difficult moments. And you know, recently I was invited to another of the country's major opera theaters. I have wonderful vocal students, and my entire house now looks like a jungle, and I am happy. Sometimes, fate breaks our familiar life in the most unexpected moments. I don't know if you will read this comment, but I hope you find strength and light within yourself. Now you are free, you still have your loyal audience, and you have yourself. Let's not give up! Happiness is always near.

Two years ago I purchased my first plant from Trader Joe's and it was a hanging pothos. I wasn't sure how to properly care for the plant being a newbie, so I turned UA-cam for plant care tips. You were the first video I came across. I felt instantly connected with you and LOVED how quirky you were. I have since grown my plant collection and have become quite plant obsessed lol. I used ALL of your tips and advice and my plants are THRIVING!!! I have become so confident in caring for my plant babies, and a lot of my friends ask me for advice.. And it is all thanks to you!! You are the one who has taught me everything I know worth knowing about plants and plant care - I've gone from dead plants to growing my own jungle and now I even have a balcony that's overflowing of greenery and even roses.
