I just wanted to update everyone and say that Amanda is back with a new channel called "Make it with Amanda". While it doesn't seem like it will be plant-focused, I think we can all agree that we'll love it no matter what because we love Amanda! I hope I can continue to be a good houseplant resource for everyone. I love making videos for you, and I love getting to interact with you. Thank you so much for your support!
Thank you for posting this Dylan but I made the mistake of putting those words in the search box and it didn't take. Later, I found that it was all one word "MakeItwithAmanda". She already has over 9K subscribers ......woohoo!. Bless her heart for coming back to us loyal subscribers. She's a brave and courageous person that missed us as much as we missed her! Much love to her and you Dylan for letting people know about Amanda and with all your success with your new channel as well.
OMG! I am heartbroken. I had been so busy the past while and just realized that I hadn’t seen a Planterina video lately. So I went searching and your video was the first one to share the terrible news. I discovered Amanda’s videos during Covid and she ignited my passion for plants like no other. I consider her a good friend and I miss her terribly!
I’m in the exact same boat!! The last 6 months.. especially the last 2-3 have been so hectic moving cross country and major family changes. I had to check cuz I haven’t seen her in a while and what the frick?! I miss her and I’m gonna miss watching her videos while I find a new home and decorate it with all the plants Amanda taught me how to take care of. 😭😭😭💚
Planteria was my comfort channel, I'd sit at home and watch her videos multiple times. Amanda is such an inspiration and someone who made UA-cam a better place. I really I wish she would reupload them again 😢
I miss Amanda and Planterina! Not only was she informative, but she was funny and taught me alot as a new plant parent. I use to watch her videos at least once a day and I really hope she comes back on!❤
I agree with you. I just realized she hasn't posted anything in a while now I know why. I bought many plants from her and learned a lot. I miss her videos too.

I live in Florida and Amanda did many videos from here. I truly hope that she and her family are well. She always brought laughter and honesty to her videos.
I loved the longer videos Planterina had. I would play them in the background and listen while repotting, watering, doing dishes, folding laundry...even to relax before bed, because Amanda's demeanor is so chill and down-to-earth that they served me as great company when I wanted something other than "the news". She was never judge-y or condescending about plant care. And even with millions and millions of subscribers, she didn't take herself too seriously. She laughed at her own air-headedness, at not remembering plant names, at not being able to pronounce some botanical nomenclature, and about her mistakes in watering or pruning. She gave us "permission" to forgive our own mistakes. And she encouraged us as we grew, which is such a lovely thought for people you are intent in growing things! I miss her and hope she comes back with a new channel called Planterine or Plantereening or or Plant-mandina or Amandina or something that we all can recognize (but the old partner cannot sue her for) that we can flock back to!

It's really weird she took down her channel and all of her videos though. A normal person that just wants a break would say they are taking a break or nothing at all and just leave everything as is. Why make all the videos if you are just gonna take them down? Makes zero sense. Sounds like this has something to do with legal reasons. Along with the radio silence and store shut down. Probably was not sharing her profits as legally outlined in her contract with her grower/supplier or something along those lines so everything had to be shut down including her channel since the store was birthed and advertised from it. Along with the reason radio silence this all makes zero sense other than legal reasons.

Omgosh I’m in shock!! I just went to Amanda’s UA-cam channel and it was gone!!! Amanda “Planterina” was the one who inspired me to buy plants. I never could keep plants alive until I listened to her and all her info about plants. She made it fun even when I failed. I learned so much from her. I’m shocked and saddened by this news. Yet grateful for this video so I’m informed of what has happened. I will miss her greatly! I was a huge fan . I genuinely hope to see her back on youtube. Amanda you are a gift and loved❤❤❤
💚 Amanda was always so humble in her approach to plants. She never set herself up as the authority on plants but shared freely about plant failures. Her warm personality and her sense of humor made all of us want to be her friend. I hope she's doing something really enjoyable right now. She's definitely earned a nice long vacation... but I hope she eventually comes back to us in some way🤞! 🪴Thank you, Planterina!!!
What I really loved about her channel was how you could look up care for a specific plant and she'd usually have it covered. It was such a great starting point for beginners. I recommended it to someone a couple weeks ago because I didn't realize the channel had been taken down.
Completely agree, Amanda is going to be extremely missed with her creations and plant care! She was who inspired me to have my first monstera and I was hooked, I couldn't believe the size of the leaves and it was a whole new world for me. I'd watch her videos on repeat in the early plant days. Not to mention the love of terracotta and simple things like how to prop and repot, I needed that information and respected her opinion, the encouragement of her showing failed plants too, it was okay to mess up! Just try again. Much missed.
I used to watch her all the time. She gave me “permission” to fill my home with beautiful plants and I love how my house feels and looks almost like a conservatory now. This morning, I thought of her again and wanted to watch something only to hear of her departure from UA-cam. I’m with you on feeling sad about this. May God bless her and provide for her.
Amanda and “Planterina” got me, and it sounds like countless others, through a lot of hard times. She probably didn’t realize she was touching the lives and hearts of so many of us. Wherever she is, I truly hope the best for Amanda and her family.
I miss her channel. When I started watching plant videos on UA-cam she was the first one I found. I was hooked from the first video and watched her everyday till no videos left to watch. I loved her personality and she always made me laugh.
Amanda was so bery helpful during the first wave of the Covid-19 government shutdown. That's when I discovered her channel. I had a few plants but later that number grew due to her encouraging banter. I even purchased a few from her. I wish her well. Thanks for your mentioning her so fondly.
I just went to her website to research & couldn't believe that it was completely gone- even the blog. So much helpful information is just gone... 😢 I hope she is doing well. She absolutely gave me the courage to start my houseplant collection a couple of years ago. 💚
I LOVED her channel she was this wild woman that could make anyone wanna adopt a plant and raise it. I had files of her vid saved. I am mourning the loss of her content
Thanks for the clarification. I was looking for her channel as I need some guidance with indoor plant care and was confused when I couldn't find it. It's too bad. Her channel was indeed an amazing resource for those of us whole lack the green thumb gene.
Agreed. I hope you can find some help with me 🙂 I grew up taking care of plants with my mom, and minored in plant science in college, so it's definitely a passion of mine!
I was an early Planterina subscriber and also bought many gorgeous plants from her online store. All of them arrived healthy and undamaged since they were carefully packaged and shipped quickly from Florida. Sending Amanda lots of positive energy and gratitude for many years of joyous plant care vlogs! Please come back! We miss you! 💚🌿🌱🌵🪴
Omgg my heart is so broken for Amanda right now! I’ve enjoyed watching her for years now and she’s literally taught me so much about plant care and design over the years she’s definitely going to be missed and I’m still hoping she’s going to come back in some sort of form!
@@banesbotanicals1287 yes hopefully she will!!! Me and my wife have enjoyed watching her content for years now I think she will be back, she has always enjoyed making content for us viewers!
I loved watching Amanda. I had written a message to her once mentioning that she reminds me so much of myself. I love her personality and her style was awesome. I hope she’s OK and I hope she comes back real soon. I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there that feel the same way.❤
I watched her so often. I was sick and watching her was so fun. I learned a lot from her. I just wanted to watch her again and you came up. I'm so sad she's no longer on UA-cam
I was a long-time viewer of the Planterina channel. A few days ago, I got that "Hmmmm...." feeling. The 'I haven't seen a post from so-and-so in a while' feeling. Lo and Behold, no more Planterina! I actually did a search for Planterina and saw your video. So Dane, very nice video. You have a new subscriber. 👍
I had been following her for a few years as well, and was disappointed to see that her channel was gone. I appreciate you subscribing! I hope you find something you like here 🙂
I’m so hopeful she will find another path to bring her quirky, adorable self back to the public to continue inspiring people. I send her love and gratitude ❤
Miss Planterina so much! She educated you so much in a way you can understand . I hope she comes back under a different name of her channel! We love you Amanda!
ALLEGELDLY amanda never owned planterina if i'm hearing correctly from another youtuber who talked to her. planterina is a company owned by lauren schafman. her "house" wasn't even her house, it's a mansion bought by lauren aka the ceo of planterina brand. it was basically a showroom used to make viewers believe that's her house but it's to showcase how plants look in differnt spaces as a precursor to launching the e-commerce platform. amanda was never a woman who loved houseplants and decided to open a channel about it called planterina. she was really a corporate shill who manipulated us into thinking it was a passion project when she's a hired content creator for the company. she has no legal rights to the name planterina. she can't discuss about plants now due to legal issues or maybe competitive clause in her contract. at least that is my takeaway from "pretty in green" video about her. unless i misheard or misunderstood...this was such manipulation from the beginning.
I think she's probably just going through a tough time. I'm sure she remembers how much her fanbase adores her, and she'll figure out another way to reach out at some point!
Please keep making videos and let us know if you learn anything new. We love Amanda and miss her smile, jokes and plant advice. I love plants because she made it so easy. ❤
can't say I was super active follower, bc I see this 2 months later... but I miss her, too! it's been such a wonderful blend of plants, tips and personality. hope she is well.
Oh no. I can’t believe this. Here I am searching for help with a plant and looking for her channel. Half of my plants have come from watching her channel. She was so informative. I hope she has a strong come back. If she sees this “We miss you”
I truly enjoyed her channel and videos. She was quirky, fun and very informative. We will all miss her. I enjoyed her long videos. She was so good at what she did that they went by so quickly. Let’s hope she makes a comeback!!!
I loved her genuine spirit so much! She had a sweet, awkward, fun girl next door vibe. I bought 3-4 cool rare plants from her and just repotted a monstera Peru today and was going to check out soil needs and she was gone. I hope all is well with her and her family .? It’s very strange to be gone overnight … my thoughts and prayers with her 💯🥰
She was awesome! As far as the Monstera goes, a regular houseplant soil will suffice, but you can also do a faster draining mix, like a cactus soil, as long as you don't let it stay dry for too long! Because Monsteras are epiphytes (meaning they grow on another plant in the wild) they're used to getting watered regularly but not staying too wet, since they don't have traditional roots.
💔 At least I can follow you now since I know you appreciated her and her channel like I did. I'm so shocked. I'm grateful for your video...thought I was losing it when I couldn't find her anymore. Thank you, Bane!
I'm assuming it has something to do with bankruptcy for the business, it might be a legal issue putting social media, online plant sales, and landscaping under the same brand. Legal stuff can be really messy, attorneys often operate outside the law, like gaslighting people to scare them. Should you ever get a letter from an attorney realize its just a piece of paper unless it has a judge/court sign off on it, that is what actually makes it a legal document.
Amanda was a favorite of mine as well. I've also purchased many plants from Planterina. I hope she is ok, and all is well in her life. Thank you for posting this.
I was obsessed with Amanda. Often I fantasized that I was friends with her. She instantly became a favorite person from the first video I watched. Will really miss this amazing woman on UA-cam.
I didn't even know she wasn't in business anymore 🙃 I will sure miss Amanda, she was so honest on here, a rare thing to witness nowadays, also her collection as you mentioned was awesome, especially because of her styling 🥰 We will sure miss her

I will definitely miss Planterina. She has been a huge inspiration to me and taught me so much about plants the past few years! She made me laugh and feel comforted when watching her videos too. I wish you all the best Planterina xx
Loved Amanda! Loved Planterina! It was her plants, her designing with the plants that turned me into a plantaholic. I will miss your advice, your authentic and unpretentious way of teaching and communicating. Hope you do return....❤
i cant believe this is how i find out planterina was deleted 😭😭 i miss her channel. always made me feel like someones mom or friend you made at the plant store and hanging out at her home or yard 🥺
Planterina is the Queen of plants. I LOVE❤ her I miss her so much, and I do hope to see her return. Amanda, thank you so much for great contents over the years. Please, come back soon!
I watched some of the vids from the new channel and it’s missing something. I’m just glad she’s ok tho. I wish she could at least add the old Planterina videos back to UA-cam. The new vids were posted about 6 months ago and I didn’t see any recent ones and I didn’t see any plants. I think she sewing in most of them.
I watched Planterina’s first videos and subbed when she had just a few subscribers. Thanks for making this video! I miss her too! And I’m glad I found your channel!
You spoke so kindly about her. I loved the Planterina channel. I'm so glad she's taking care of herself and starting her new channel, but I'm sad that that huge wealth of wonderful information is gone. Her well being is the most important thing though, and I'm glad she's prioritizing herself.
I am brokenhearted. Everything I learned was from Amanda. You are an incredible man to share this news and thank you so much. I will be watching and learning from you now. Blessings and thank you so much ❤️
I am in complete shock! I’m so upset I can’t believe this is happening. I watch her videos all the time she is my kind of person.. I hope she’s okay and she comes back we all love her.
I am one of Planterina subscribers in Poland. Amanda is exceptional and had a great impact on my plant hobby. Sometimes I just watched her videos to relax and calm down. I miss her and her sense of humour. I really hope she will come back to YT.
She is very honest and experienced. Plants and greenhouse owner. As a plants grower over twenty years.that I like to watch basically only her channel to get some information whenever need their are hundreds of pants channels, but they are inexperience plants growers who just buy big plants and hanging and videos for their channel then killed them.
Planterina/Amanda was the one who Wow'ed me when I saw her patio area covered with plants which made me get onto UA-cam to discover other plant enthusiasts and watch new ones develop their channels. It would be a such a shame if a bad business deal was the reason for the demise of her channel. Amanda, I hope you are in good health and best wishes for new ventures with your love and talent!
I came here bc I couldn’t find her channel. She is so fun, quirky and got me into indoor plants! I have dozens now and was looking for her video on monstera cutting. She was a fave.
There was a man tht I also watched a few years back and they took him off. He wasn't doing anything wrong. I loved his advice. He was a wrestler? or a body builder in the past. I miss him a lot too. I'm shocked Amanda is gone
Amanda, if you are reading, I miss you very much and it might be nothing to you coming from a total stranger, but if you are going through a hard time, think that you need help, just reach out. Never hide. Your light is too bright to hide it.
So so sad about it. I just went looking for her channel last week because I knew it was getting close to her redesigning her backyard patio for spring/summer. I found her channel back in 2021 when I was first starting with plants. She provided so much information, inspo, and value to the beginner and to the plant hobbist. I watched her videos every spring/summer/fall. I’d rewatch her videos on plant care for low light plants like 10 times just so I can learn at first. I also had her on in the background as well if I was cleaning, doing work, etc. She even gave me some home decor ideas that I used. Loved it when she took us to the greenhouse in Florida with her. Anyway, I could go on. But I hope she comes back. Definitely one of my favorite channels on UA-cam for sure. I’d put her in top 3 of my fave channels. I bet a lot of people are looking for her now that the weather is getting warmer and people are excited to redecorate their homes just to find she’s not here
Yeah I love her and her channel. I have been looking for the past few months. I hope she is well... She was my go-to for her videos......I have many plants in my home.. Not as many as her home, but I have 20+ in my 1,000 sq ft apt in Westchester County NY, and 6 tomato plants on my terrace (container) that thrived and gave me amazing fruits.... I hope she is ok and comes back soon...We dont ever know what is going on in someones life, but I hope she will be OK soon whatever it is. 2023 was a hard yr for many. She is a gem!
Si la conocí por sus videos y todas sus redes igual para mi ella es una total inspectora, que admiración siento por lo que hace y si amor por las plantas . Ayudo a mucho incluyéndome. Well done in honoring Amanda as the exceptional house plant expert that she is. Her earnestness sets her apart. Your graceful statement made me subscribe to your channel. / Remember that success is almost never lineal. I wish you the very best in your channel.
I just recently discovered your channel as UA-cam put it on my feedback. Thanks for making plant videos and your commentary makes your videos interesting. Keep up the good work and best of luck on your plant channel. I definitely miss Planterina. Watched her channel for years. I recently started my plant channel journey as well. I hope she comes back.
Hopefully she'll be able to start up a new venture at some point. And thank you for those compliments. That means a lot! I'm glad you've enjoyed it. One of my biggest goals when I started this channel was to help people learn more about their hobby, not just with individual houseplant videos, but also plant science in general. Learning keeps us sharp, and I think that's important throughout our lives! Also, your channel is awesome! I didn't expect to find origami there, which was a pleasant surprise! You're clearly doing something right 🙂

I’m extremely sad that the channel is gone. I regularly rewatch her videos to take better care of my plants.
What I really loved about her channel was how you could look up care for a specific plant and she'd usually have it covered. It was such a great starting point for beginners. I recommended it to someone a couple weeks ago because I didn't realize the channel had been taken down.
I agree. There aren't enough resources for specific plant care, so I'm trying to throw my two cents in to help people if I can!
If I had better lighting, my house would be full as well!
@@banesbotanicals1287 well until then, can you keep all of us plantarina fans happy with some more content from you??
@@jeffreydennis9738 I'll do my best!
Miss the quirky lady. She made plants look good. No one better than her in plant styling. Hope she comes back soon .❤
Me too :( she reminded me of jennifer aniston friends era
Amanda and “Planterina” got me, and it sounds like countless others, through a lot of hard times. She probably didn’t realize she was touching the lives and hearts of so many of us. Wherever she is, I truly hope the best for Amanda and her family.
I miss her channel. When I started watching plant videos on UA-cam she was the first one I found. I was hooked from the first video and watched her everyday till no videos left to watch. I loved her personality and she always made me laugh.
She was my favorite planty mama 😢❤
Amanda was so bery helpful during the first wave of the Covid-19 government shutdown. That's when I discovered her channel. I had a few plants but later that number grew due to her encouraging banter. I even purchased a few from her. I wish her well. Thanks for your mentioning her so fondly.
No problem!
Hopefully she can find a way to start making new content eventually!
I miss her SO much! Her personality would brightened my day.
I know same here! I will even miss Steve and hearing her yell at her son Ethan too turn it down lol 😂 she had become like family too many of us!
@@jeffreydennis9738 Lol 😂
Me too!
Да разбирам ли че Аманда няма да се появи?@@banesbotanicals1287
Shocking and heartbreaking.
Amanda's presents was like talking to a good friend about plants in their home. It's like losing a friend. 😢
Αmanda, please come back.I miss your jolly personality and authentic character,
Love Amanda, knew she was closing plant shop. But noooo, not her youtube channel! Will miss you so much, plantarina.
Miss you n hope to see your Planterina again
Same! I think once she sorts out whatever happened, she'll make a new channel!
@@banesbotanicals1287 yes hopefully she will!!! Me and my wife have enjoyed watching her content for years now I think she will be back, she has always enjoyed making content for us viewers!
I'm shocked and appreciated someone letting me know more. I loved watching on Sundays and Amanda was amazing at responding to comments.
I loved watching Amanda. I had written a message to her once mentioning that she reminds me so much of myself. I love her personality and her style was awesome. I hope she’s OK and I hope she comes back real soon. I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there that feel the same way.❤
I'm one of them!
Amanda was my go to for every plant I have. She'll really be missed. 😢
Just hope she makes a come back. I learned most everything I know about plants from her.
I loved Amanda! She was fun, informative, and not preachy!
She has the perfect personality for a UA-cam channel! It can't be duplicated!
I’m really worried, I hope she is well! I loved her personality and gonna miss her videos so so much!
Wow Im glad I got to experience her channel. She got me through the pandemic
can't say I was super active follower, bc I see this 2 months later... but I miss her, too! it's been such a wonderful blend of plants, tips and personality. hope she is well.
Oh my gosh? Where is Amanda!!!! Thanks for making this video. I wouldn't have know why she was missing here. Crying....
No problem! I hope you find something here you can enjoy as well!
I miss planterina too. I use to watch her regularly. She was so much fun. I wish she can come on youtube soon again.
Yeah that's the rumor I've heard, or that maybe the relationship with her business partner soured. Regardless, it sucks!
Just finding out about this now. I loved her channel and seeing her house and all her plants.
Amanda was a favorite of mine as well. I've also purchased many plants from Planterina. I hope she is ok, and all is well in her life. Thank you for posting this.
No problem!
I was obsessed with Amanda. Often I fantasized that I was friends with her. She instantly became a favorite person from the first video I watched. Will really miss this amazing woman on UA-cam.
I can't believe it! , because of her I started propagating several plants and now have a wonderful hobby..Amanda was such an inspiration.
I didn't even know she wasn't in business anymore 🙃 I will sure miss Amanda, she was so honest on here, a rare thing to witness nowadays, also her collection as you mentioned was awesome, especially because of her styling 🥰 We will sure miss her
If I had more windows in my house, I would definitely aspire to have something similar! I'm impressed that she is able to care for so many.

She could definitely start an interior design company!
She was pleasure to watch. Learned a lot from her and she was funny too.Expert knowledge. Hope shes back soon
This is soo sad. Her videos were soo comforting during the pandemic.
Amanda was my bright spot in the day during the pandemic. I started propagating and ordering new fun plants ❤
Loved Amanda! Loved Planterina! It was her plants, her designing with the plants that turned me into a plantaholic. I will miss your advice, your authentic and unpretentious way of teaching and communicating.

Amanda, thank you so much for great contents over the years.
Please, come back soon!
We're all hoping she starts a new channel one day!
I watched some of the vids from the new channel and it’s missing something. I’m
just glad she’s ok tho. I wish she could at least add the old Planterina videos back to UA-cam. The new vids were posted about 6 months ago and I didn’t see any recent ones and I didn’t see any plants. I think she sewing in most of them.
Amanda had one of the best garden channels!
Agreed!
I watched Planterina’s first videos and subbed when she had just a few subscribers. Thanks for making this video! I miss her too! And I’m glad I found your channel!
Thank you for watching! I'm no Planterina, but I hope I can help give back to the community somehow!
You spoke so kindly about her. I loved the Planterina channel. I'm so glad she's taking care of herself and starting her new channel, but I'm sad that that huge wealth of wonderful information is gone. Her well being is the most important thing though, and I'm glad she's prioritizing herself.
Amanda and planterina were amazing. The first plant UA-camr I watched . Pretty in green (I think ) did a good video on this too
I am brokenhearted. Everything I learned was from Amanda. You are an incredible man to share this news and thank you so much. I will be watching and learning from you now. Blessings and thank you so much ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to watch! I hope I'm able to provide some enjoyment to you through my videos!
I do miss Amanda!! I loved getting plants from Planterina!! I will definitely miss her!!😢
I am in complete shock! I’m so upset I can’t believe this is happening. I watch her videos all the time she is my kind of person.. I hope she’s okay and she comes back we all love her.
I am sad. She was the first one I watched. She was so real. Good luck to you Amanda
I'm from the Philippines and i love watching Amanda in Planterina. It's so sad and i hope she makes a comeback.😢
I enjoyed Amanda and her quirky personality. I hope to see her return in some capacity because she gave such a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Agreed. I honestly think this is just a bump in the road for her, and she'll be able to start a new venture once it's all sorted out.
She really gave me the confidence to buy plants and know I can’t grow them. Even if I fail at some, she made it so real and inviting.
Thank you for letting me know. I was looking for her and found your videos. This is so sad. I needed plant advice ❤
I learned sooo much! I wish I could of saved some videos
No problem! If you need advice about something specific, let me know!
Amanda helped me in my plant journey during COVID. She was all I watched all day every day.
Love Amanda and she will truly be missed Hope she is well and know how much she is loved❤️
Yep, love her!! I have many of her plants, laughed a lot when i watched, and learned a lot. Miss her yes, very much! Just found her new channel.
I love that you're so positive! I've so busy with life n didn't even noticed her channel was gone. Also, thank you for the update! 💚
No problem!
Thank you!
yes, i just realized her channel is no more; really enjoyed her videos.
I literally just searched her channel because I noticed I haven’t seen her post in a while! I miss her😢
I just thought about her after not watching for years! Thanks for explaining!
Si la conocí por sus videos y todas sus redes igual para mi ella es una total inspectora, que admiración siento por lo que hace y si amor por las plantas . Ayudo a mucho incluyéndome. Estaba como loca buscando su canal y su página donde vende sus plantas y por esto encontré tu video hablando de ella . Espero que ella esté muy bien y deséale toda la salud y bienestar que merece .
I miss you Ananda and know how much you are missed and loved💗💗💗💗
Well done in honoring Amanda as the exceptional house plant expert that she is. Her earnestness sets her apart. Your graceful statement made me subscribe to your channel. / Remember that success is almost never lineal. I wish you the very best in your channel.
I miss Amanda, I learned everything I know about plants from her 💕
I just recently discovered your channel as UA-cam put it on my feedback.
You're clearly doing something right 🙂
Wow! I went looking for Planterina to see if she had anything on a new plant I've been considering. She's been my go to "plant encyclopedia" for years. I'm bummed, but thanks for this update. I'll be checking with your channel for information now. 👍
Thank you! I appreciate that. I'm nowhere near as quirky and entertaining as Planterina, but I really do try to help people and educate however I can. We're all on this plant journey together!
