For almost a century, North Korea has been ruled by three men from the Kim family, who have created a government unlike any in the world. It claims to be a one-party socialist regime but it actually functions like a hereditary monarchy. The throne has passed from father to son twice, but today, there is some speculation that it could pass next from father to daughter or even brother to sister. This video explains how the Kim dynasty passes on succession and why some experts believe two women could be in contention for succession.

12:30 " This is Kim Joo-ae...she really could be the next heir."
It's important to note that nobody outside of the Kim family and circle know the daughter's actual name. It's probably not Jooae. Everyone just thinks it is because that's what Dennis Rodman said, who is the only outsider to have met that daughter (as a baby). Koreans use titles rather than names during introductions of others. More than likely, the daughter was introduced as "juh-ae," which means that girl or my girl. Kim would not have introduced his daughter by her name. This is something foreigners don't quite understand sometimes. Rodman is not a Korean speaker so wouldn't know the difference between Joo-ae or juh-ae.

I disagree that this video was on point on every aspect.
      1. Korea's division did not start at the Korean War. It actually started at the end of Word War II when Russia and the US decided to divide Korea in half. That's a fact that the western world likes to omit or ignore.
      2. 12:30 " This is Kim Joo-ae...she really could be the next heir."

Yeah, and South Korea is “totally” a “democracy.”
The history of Korea is far more complex than this video, depicts it as (which no hate to the creator I can’t blame them for falling pray to the lies of mainstream media). - The original reasoning behind the split between the north and south can be attributed to imperialist Japan’s occupation on the country (if you want to know how “friendly” the Japanese were to the Koreans, I suggest you look into what “comfort woman” were). Basically, North Korea was established as a revolutionary workers state, fighting against the unjust rule of the Japanese.
At the end of World War II, the axis powers were, mostly, defeated. Soon later, the Cold War begins. The US sides with the Southern puppet state, (which btw still appointed many of the Japanese war criminals). While the USSR sided with the revolutionary north.
Who attacked who first is a trivial annotation often brought up, as in reality, both sides were constantly antagonizing each other. Moreover originally the north was more prosperous than the south, however, with the Korean war and over 20% of the entire population in the north killed, (plus most of their infrastructure being demolished), modern day North Korea-is an absolute s**t hole.
In short, yes, North Korea sucks but this is not an excuse for the hyperbole you see constantly pushed by mainstream media.

I thought the daughter was in line for succession? You never see the daughter and the aunt at the same time which is weird. If the sister is his right hand, why is she never there when the daughter is with him? I wonder if the daughter is going to have an "accident". I wouldn't put it past her.
