Hey Lynette, I finally did a girlfriends trip to Holmes County last week for 4 days! First stop was for lunch at East Main Kitchen. Our waitress asked where were we from and I said near Lancaster, PA. I then said I heard about this place from watching UA-cam and she said "oh from Lynette Yoder". I said "yes, I love her videos!" Then she said a lot of people come to eat here because of watching her videos. How awesome is that!
@@jodymartin5559 Boyd & Wurthmann for breakfast or lunch, Hershberger’s for crafts, baked goods and to see their horse Hershy! He is over 3,000 pounds. Kaufmans for home goods and Sheyiah - so many beautiful things. And of course Walnut Creek Cheese!
As far as the loaf grain it’s the kneading time. A trick for yeast breads is called a window pane test. So take a small piece off once you think you’ve kneading it long enough and stretch it between your fingers and if it can stretch to almost paper thin where you can see light coming through without the dough ripping it has been kneading long enough and the gluten has formed. If it doesn’t and it rips- knead it longer!!! Hope this helps!
I can't believe how little " Mama O" has become such a big girl almost overnight with the new baby. She seems to have grown so much! It's the sweetest! I am so looking forward to your sisters wedding! She has always been so kind when we have messaged on Instagram. So happy for her!

Lynette...it's so refreshing and encouraging to see a mom/dad teaching their sons to do house work. You are really doing them a good turn! Also love the prayer at the dinner table 🙏❤
OMG Lynette I can't believe you just had a baby. You are such a good mom. Oaklynn has really taken to Harper. The bread looked great. My babies always liked a soothing back rub for tummy aches. TFS 💯👍🥰
Hey Lynette! My sister and I just returned home from a week long stay at Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek as we do every year for my birthday which is tomorrow! We usually only stay 3/4 nights, but this year we got 5 nights!! We took our friends.. an old order Amish couple for their first time to East Main Kitchen! They loved it!!! We always go all because of you! lol we love those side winder fries lol. I found some treasures at all the thrifts stores and variety stores, especially Ruby’s! Walnut Creek Cheese is ALWAYS our stop on the way out to get all the goodies we want to take home with us 🥰
Please tell Jaxon that in New England we LOVE Gronk and are so pleased he loves playing in Tampa. And the grain of your bread is bigger perhaps because you over-proofed the loaves (let them rise too long). Proofing time depends on different ambient conditions. If you’re baking in air conditioning, cooler and less humid, you may need a different amount of time than what could be listed in a recipe.
Thanks to your videos, this Michigan gal visited Holmes County last month! I joked to my friends that I might be the only person to bring canned goods (Walnut Creek!), Troyer's Trail Bologna, and bulk foods back home as my 'souvenirs'! I had the best time, and my B&B hostess knew just who you were :) Can't wait to go back!
Love seeing you make bread. I still have never done it without a bread machine which isn't the same. Boys are getting big and Oaklyn gets cuter every day. So happy to see a baby again.
Lynette your amazing. Look at you going about family life like you didn't just have a baby. Your a great momma. The bread looks so good I'm salivating!
Ah! Your bread turned out awesome, Lyn! I’m so glad you liked it. 😍 Also love little O helping you in the kitchen with her little “apron”. I can’t wait till Clara can be my little helper too!
I am going to make your bread recipe, thanks to Lynette, it looks wonderful. I have to say I simply love your Instagram; you have such a beautiful family! You and Lynette are real women of quality and substance! ❤❤(How I wish you had a UA-cam channel as well. There are so few channels with people who have values I admire and identify with on UA-cam, I cherish just a handful of channels and I am grateful for them!)
I placed an order with Walnut Creek after learning about them here. I thought their prices were very reasonable, even with the cost of shipping. I was happy with everything I ordered. I think I might order again and use your code! Thanks!
I am no expert in making bread from scratch. I have a bread machine. My mother made homemade bread a lot. I'm thinking that maybe you need to knead the dough a bit longer. I'm not sure though. Oaklynn is so adorable. Kaden is growing up looking a lot like his dad and Jackson (Jaxon?) looks like you. Not sure about Harper yet, but she is so cute!
Absolutely love your family and show. Your children are precious. I would love to go back to your age and have little ones. I had two boys and a girl. Each of my children have two children, a girl and boy. The youngest of my grandkids was adopted from Guatemala. He loves to cook. One other of my grandsons answered the call to preach a few months ago. I’m so proud of my whole family. We raised them in church and they’ve grown to be great parents and citizens. Feeling melancholy tonight. I know you enjoy your family and kids. It shows….. also with your husband. Love hearing him say grace. That’s what our country needs. Maybe someone will see the example you’re showing and eat at the table. Love Tuesday for your show.
You have such a gift for seeing the good. I cannot imagine 3 kids plus a newborn with the constant pool construction! Thank you for being a positive light 💕
Hi Lynette. I was born and raised in the Uhrichsville, Ohio area and listening to you talking about Berlin and Walnut Creek really makes me homesick. Thank you they bring beautiful memories. My family loves the trail bologna and Swiss cheese. Love watching you and your beautiful family.
My almost 3 yr old has a cold and was absurdly inconsolable after his nap. I really wanted to watch this so I put it on the TV and snuggled him and he loooved watching it. He got so excited at each part of your day/life that looked like ours!
I enjoyed your day in the life! Your children are all so adorable. At the beginning of the video for a slight minute I thought Oaklynn was holding Harper while sitting on the sink! Hope you have an enjoyable summer! Jackie from Indiana
Yes, the rhubarb is in season. My rhubarb is beautiful and have made a couple rhubarb pies which is the best rhubarb pie ever, according to my husband. My grandma's recipe ! Taught my adult son hiw to make homemade pie crust and then he made his first ever pie, which happened to be, Yep, rhubarb. Loved the day in the life. Your bread was beautiful and looked trally yummy!
This was so fun Lynn. Who does Harper look like? I feel like you more than Nic. It's hard to tell. Lol She's so adorable. Oaklynn is talking so well now. Shes Adorable as well. Ty for sharing your life with us. Love your sweet family. The boys have grown so much since I've been watching you the last 4 years. Be blessed.
For your bread, you might want to knead it longer. In fact, after the first rise, and after cutting the sections, knead a bit before placing in pan. Bread can be very finicky and also is dependent upon weather. If it’s very damp, try adding a bit more flour. Also, hard wheat makes great bread! Sam’s Carries it.
Harper is adorable and Big sis is so loving of her. The boys are growing so fast. I thought your bread looked great. It is always hit and miss with bread but in the end it is always good. My mom was the expert. No kitchen aid back then. I suggest less to no oil should make it denser. You can replace oil with water or milk. When I do bread I just add water till it feels right by hand. Got your own sound garden in the pool area. Happy workers! Do Walnut Creek deliver to Canada?
Hello! I was so happy to see you,Oaklyn, and precious baby Harper and the big brothers ,dad. Just do what you feel like doing! Love ya all! God bless all of you!! Beautiful family!
Don't let the bread rise quite as long on the second rising. Your bread should not have the "muffin top" over the side of the loaf pan after baked. Less rising time will prevent the loose crumb.
Hi. Your girls are adorable. I don’t make bread not great at it. On Pinterest there is a Dutch oven bread recipe. It’s like 4 ingredients mix together let rise then bake in Dutch oven. It is soooo good and turns out great every time. They say it may take 18 hours but mine always rises within a couple of hours. Have a blessed week
After you punch your dough down and cut it into sections, get your rolling pin out and roll each piece into a large rectangle. Roll it hard so you get all the bubbles out. Then tightly roll your rectangle up as if you were making a cinnamon roll. Put it in your pans and if too long, tuck or roll the ends under. Let it raise until it is only 1 inch above the top of the pan. Now it's time to bake!
Kaden, you silly with the eyebrows wiggle! (Your new shirt is 👍) Jaxon - great Sonic moves! Lynette, it looks like your whole family is thriving - so glad to see your video, always enjoy!

Hey Lynnette! With the bread it looks amazing! I Recommend to milk the bread instead of spreading butter all over it! I’ve grown up making bread and milk is the way to go especially when making 5 loaves and putting them into bread bags. You did a great job on the bread!
I always enjoy your videos SO much!! Hello from here in the middle of Nebraska! I was recently on a vacation in Savannah and Charleston. We talked about our next trip perhaps visiting FL. Maybe we will visit Sarasota. I heard it was beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family!!
Baking bread is therapy for me! 😊 I don't use bread flour, but I think the crumb of your bread is airy because of how long you let it rise in the pans. Great job, though! I'm sure it's delicious. Just. Don’t let your bread raise so much. Your children are sooo cute. I and making sourdough for bread this week. Your videos are wonderful. Thank you for your faith. GOD bless you all.
Gluten, which is like the glue that holds the bread together, develops if kneaded long enough. I usually do a good 10 minutes of kneading, then when shaping the loaves, use a rolling pin to flatten it good and roll it tightly, tucking the ends in. Mine is fine grained and holds together well. Also be sure to use enough flour that it's not terribly sticky.
I'm in Ontario, Canada and my bread turns out great here... when I go "home" to my moms in the Maryland mountains it's a complete flop every time. Altitude seems to greatly affect yeast and flour amounts so if you're making a recipe in a different location than the one who made the recipe you may have to adjust...

Don’t let your bread rise too long on second rising (in pans). It will have a tighter crumb. About 30 minutes is usually long enough.
Yup!
