Although I can imagine you do tons of running around every day! And then some..but you look fabulous. As for the children doing chores it's really important I think that not only do they learn to appreciate just what goes in the keeping a home but also teaches them valuable lessons for the future, so many adults men & women are completely useless and have no idea about domestic jobs for the home,how to use a washer, oven etc etc I really think it's awful not to teach children the value of nothing in life is free or put on a plate with a golden spoon. I used to get my daughter from little Os age to take the cushions outside and smack them together to get the bits off them,she loved it and thought it was a fun game ☺..your doing brilliant Lynette.take it easy and in your own pace 😊

I remember feeling like that after the birth of my first child. My husband decided to work longer hours. My mom wasn’t around. We had just moved to a new area where I had no friends. I was clueless as a new mom and add the depression on top of all that. Not a good feeling, but the Lord is faithful. That baby is 17 years old today and doing great. You will be just fine, hon. The days are long but the years are fast.
I taught my kids to do their own laundry in about 4th grade, including sheets and towels. It greatly cut down on the laundry I did at my house. They quickly learned a pair of jeans can be worn more than once and cleaning your room did not mean throwing everything into the laundry.
Just remember that you are one busy Mommy!! One hour, one day @ a time. A little dust and disorder doesn't hurt anybody!! Family is much more important!! You are an awesome mom!! Your kids are so cute!!! Good luck with the house hunting. God will lead you to the right one!!!

No worries Lynette, take all the time you need from vlogging. The children are adorable. It is good to assign tasks and teach responsibilities to the boys. I think those skills have been a good asset to me through life. Oaklynn and Harper are precious. We are in the process of house hunting also for various reasons. However, we are selling to buy another. The market is crazy. In February we could have gotten 1.3 and now it is 980,000,00 to sell. You spoke about the cost 9f food etc. Yes prices are outrageous here but thanks be to God we are getting by! Take care best wishes.

The right house will be there when the time is right. An age appropriate chore chart is a good idea. Children do benefit from having responsibility and learning how to do tasks. Oaklynn has blossomed since her sister was born.

I have raised two kids - one boy and one girl. I admire you for getting your kids to do chores. They need to learn responsibility and know how to do chores. When they get to be teens it's harder to get them to do stuff especially if they were not doing chores before then. Our kids had regular chores as well. Around age 12 I started showing them how to wash/dry their own clothes. So after a few times of showing them they were on their own from then on. Prior to that they had to fold or hang their own clothes starting around age 6 or 7. Cleaning bathroom, helping clean up after supper, wash dishes, sweep, dust and take out the garbage were other chores they did. Of course vacuuming and cleaingn their own rooms when they got old enough. Random chores can be washing cars, cleaning out the cars, carrying in groceries, watering plants, and yard chores.

There is something about #4! Mine just turned 1 (we have boys 8 and 6, girls 3 and 1, so similar to you!). I think there was a part of me that thought I could handle 3 kids "on my own". It has taken having a fourth for me to realize how DESPERATE I am for strength and grace from the Lord every day. All that to say, you are not alone! I was definitely emotional and overwhelmed after baby number 4 was born. I still feel overwhelmed and like I’m always playing catch-up a year and a half later. But I don’t feel as emotional about it now. Sending prayers and hugs your way! You are an awesome momma! You will get in your groove before too long! 💗

And not have much of a schedule. I believe it takes months for our bodies to recover from pregnancy and birth. There’s no shame in taking very good care of yourself especially in the year after having a baby. 💕

It's good to start the boys with jobs to learn responsibility. They will show you love. Always tell them how much you appreciate their help. I know you will. I started at age 6 or 7. No payment, just their love for you and the family.
A new baby is always a big adjustment. Things will smooth out and a rhythm will settle in. Take advantage of a babysitter whenever possible and don’t feel guilty about it! You need your own time to rest, recuperate and recharge. I hope you’re able to find a house that won’t require too much reno. A simple task for Oaklynn might be checking if any bathroom needs toilet paper, dusting mop boards and picking up the toys in her room. I started my kids with these tasks and it worked well. Loved the video and really enjoyed looking at houses on the market.

Be patient with yourself. You just made a beautiful baby, you moved, your nursing, the kids are home for the summer and you have 2 in diapers. All of these things are huge emotional upheavals & energy zappers. Ask for help from friends and family so you can take a mommy timeout - that means doing nothing except read or nap. Be kind to you. Your are just an amazing mom. No beating yourself. As a mom with kids in college I have been in the world you are in. You will get through this phase. PS - Love the Kroger Dress - too cute!!!

My 4 boys had 2 chores each day when I was working. 1 hard and 1 easy. For example, dishes and put all dirty clothes in laundry; the youngest would put on washing and tidy common areas; one would hang out and or bring in washing from the line and take out bins. We also had a routine in the evenings where I’d leave the sink full of hot soapy water and when they’d finished their dinner they’d wash their plates, cutlery and cup; which meant all I had to do was pots and pans.
Lovely video as always. I used to live across from the park and would walk there daily. Watching your video made me realize how much I miss it and I need to get back into walking the bridge. I love seeing my town through someone else’s eyes…Those kiddos are adorable!

I love Sarasota so much, we usually RV at Royal Coachman in Nokomis, such a great area. We are in Ohio presently and over the weekend we went o Sugar Creek and Dutch Valley the Amish communities are so beautiful and friendly! We got a lot of good bargains at the local thrift shops, so much fun! Your children are adorable and glad you are giving some responsibilities in the house. What a beautiful place to live 😍 couldn't help but think everyday would feel like vacation lol but we with four kids I am sure that's not the case! Hi Lynette, With my son, I drank decaf coffee with a little cream about once a week. It turned out baby ended up on soymilk formula. I was drinking cow's milk when I was nursing! I had blamed his tummy trouble on the coffee!

After I had my third child ,my Dr. told me take a least 30 minutes each day just for myself. We all need that break.We have to recharge.
The dress looks pretty on you! And I’m happy that you found someone that can help out with babysitting when you need them.
When I went from 3 to 4...wowser... definitely a learning curve for me 😳 The dust settles but it took me a "minute" ☺️🍼💞

It's hot in Indiana too ... this week in the 90's ... today a high of 98. Too hot! Little Harper is so sweet and Oaklynn is adorable. Glad you have a babysitter and your parents are back to give you some selfcare time. I think it's wonderful you are raising capable kids and giving them some chores and life skills. Take care!

I’m glad you are being gentle with yourself. I had 4 children too. Accept help and adjust expectations for awhile. It gets easier and will be nice when you’re settled in a permanent home too

It's good to start the boys with jobs to learn responsibility. They will show you love. Always tell them how much you appreciate their help. I know you will.
I started at age 6 or 7. No payment, just their love for you and the family.
A new baby is always a big adjustment.
Things will smooth out and a rhythm will settle in. Take advantage of a babysitter whenever possible and don’t feel guilty about it! You need your own time to rest, recuperate and recharge.
I hope you’re able to find a house that won’t require too much reno. That might be a little much for you to deal with right now (sorry, my mother-hen came out😉)

Wow, that house had some serious 1980's vibes, pink carpet, flower wall paper, blue toilet.... frosted glass flowers on the shower door..... wow!! Talk about throw back!! I'm guessing it was owned by an older couple who are empty nesters, raised their children, and ready to move on...... you would have had a lot of work to update it for sure.

My daddies name is Harper and he was born 1911 (dod the math) and passed 1991, 25th June. He was the greatest man I truly ever knew and I miss him soo very much! A simple task for Oaklynn might be checking if any bathroom needs toilet paper, dusting mop boards and picking up the toys in her room. I started my kids with these tasks and it worked well. Loved the video and really enjoyed looking at houses on the market.

Be patient with yourself. You just made a beautiful baby, you moved, your nursing, the kids are home for the summer and you have 2 in diapers. All of these things are huge emotional upheavals & energy zappers.
Ask for help from friends and family so you can take a mommy timeout - that means doing nothing except read or nap.
Be kind to you. Your are just an amazing mom. No beating yourself. As a mom with kids in college I have been in the world you are in. You will get through this phase. PS - Love the Kroger Dress - too cute!!!

Take care of yourself and if you can rest some because your body goes through alot having a baby, it takes time for things to level out. God bless you and I will be praying for your total healing.
My 4 boys had 2 chores each day when I was working. 1 hard and 1 easy. For example, dishes and put all dirty clothes in laundry; the youngest would put on washing and tidy common areas; one would hang out and or bring in washing from the line and take out bins. We also had a routine in the evenings where I’d leave the sink full of hot soapy water and when they’d finished their dinner they’d wash their plates, cutlery and cup; which meant all I had to do was pots and pans.
Lovely video as always. I used to live across from the park and would walk there daily. Watching your video made me realize how much I miss it and I need to get back into walking the bridge. I love seeing my town through someone else’s eyes…Those kiddos are adorable!

I love Sarasota so much, we usually RV at Royal Coachman in Nokomis, such a great area. We are in Ohio presently and over the weekend we went o Sugar Creek and Dutch Valley the Amish communities are so beautiful and friendly! We got a lot of good bargains at the local thrift shops, so much fun!

I was the same. Particularly with number 5 (last one). It was terrible. One thing that really helped me was trying to laugh. Watch funny movies or videos or just something to make you laugh. It helped me so much. Bless you and your family

You need to take care of you so if you take some time, it is a good thing. Family first but saying that, if you do not take care of yourself, they cannot come first. Enjoy the journey. Being mom can be demanding. The stress of the times doesn't help especially with buying in Fl. Gods got this. Peace!

What a beautiful place to live 😍 couldn't help but think everyday would feel like vacation lol but we with four kids I am sure that's not the case! It is hard to keep older ones active during the summer, but a bit of a slower pace is also nice! Our kids aren't done school till the 24th here in Canada.
Is there a hobby lobby in your area? I would looove a "shop with me" video there! I haven't been in years 😭 hopefully we can make it state side soon!

Hi Lynette, With my son, I drank decaf coffee with a little cream about once a week. It turned out baby ended up on soymilk formula. I was drinking cow's milk when I was nursing! I had blamed his tummy trouble on the coffee!
