E36 and E30 will always shine
My late granddad bought a 1986 318i in 1988 as an everyday car. In 1993 it was replaced by a 1991 E36 320i SE, however soon after getting the E36 his health deteriorated so he hardly ever got to drive it. After he passed in 1994 my Grandma kept it until she too passed in 2012. Today we still have both the E30 is mint and has 55,000 miles and the E36 has 66,000 miles and I plan to get it restored. It has to be said both hold a special place in the family.

I had the e30 M3 (engine S14B22) !!! the sound of its 210hp engine was better than a beautiful poem ... !!! Who drives a BMW, never changes, and will not drive another car because there is no better !!! My love for BMW was born when I was 6 years old .... !!! I turned 46 and my heart beats fast every time I see a BMW pass in front of me! !! I always buy Bmw, and I will always be faithful !!! The BMW is a car for peoples who know how to live they know how to taste the pleasures of life !!! I had a E30 320i when they were new and absolutely loved it. I changed the auto box for a manual. I then got a E30 M3. It was one of the first 200 hand built at Garmish. It had been owned by a BMW exec and only had 20,000km on the clock. It had had a few BMW mods done to it. The rev limiter had been removed and had had some BMW tuning done to it. It flew and was so reliable. One special time was racing a Brabus 3.6 on the Autobahn. The Brabus was dam fast but the M3 killed it. I sold it to a BMW enthusiast when I needed business cash. I hated selling it and when I took the buyer for a test drive I went around a corner at over 100mph and he loved it. The car was on Discovery Channel "Best Marques" series. If you watch it it is the White M3. Best car I ever owned.

It appears that a lot of you have forgotten that it's still a car. They don't all have to be fast. In Germany, they had a 316 through the first 3 generations. Sometimes, it's just about the brand, everyone isn't doing laps. I have an E36 318 convertible. God knows it's ain't fast, but it's classy and it puts a smile on my face anytime I drive it
There's something special about a BMW. Especially a 3 series.
I just buy a splendid BMW 318D E90 LCI late 2010, I have dreamed since the age of 18 years (I am 43 now), I love this car,I have the impression of being a kid who just passed his driving license, I rediscovered the pleasure of driving, and more particularly its sporting behavior, the amazing precision of its steering which is diabolical! its fantastic suspension , and the dashboard typically "BMW", a clever mix of sport, luxury, and modernity.And when we spent two or three hours at the wheel of this car, and although it does not suffer from backache, or the legs, incredible !!driving a BMW, it is adopting for life, my next car will be another BMW( but more powerful), its sure......

Growing up,I remember as a little kid in the late 80s and early 90s my dad taking me to school with you..my first love 💕/dream car BMW 3 series' ,,,soar in class my classic..and Even today my children believe in it too...love for life
I just love the 318i from the 90s because my dad use to have one even though I was born in 01 and never saw them come out but now I drive an old BMW 328i from 1998 I am so proud to have and drive and old piece of history and I just love the e90s and e39 e38 e12 e30 and the 8 man the 8 series is just wow I love the character all bmws have with there kiddy grils

My dad loved his 3 series he bought it when I was born in 1998 kept it for 11 years I grew up in it he’s now nearly 60 and still drives a bmw I know want to own one like he did there’s just something about BMWs that makes them so special

i bought bmw E90 320i petrol 7 years ago BLACK COLOR i accept it maintainence is high but when i drive it i simply love it ,i want to keep my first BMW car in my family along with any new cars i buy in future .

This year I bought my first bmw f30 at the age of 22. All I can say it's the ultimate driving machine , even tho it's no m3 I enjoy every time I get in it and have a smile. I'm glad to be part of the bmw family and it will be one of many more bmw I will have. Danke Bmw freude am fahren
WOW! I find myself in theese people's stories. I drive BMW now and I love it! My father love BMW since he was a young so do I. I remember we he bought the E30 and get it to our home. When I saw it it was pure love! I was so proud and excited to be in that car when he si going 150 km/h on the highway. We have had E30, E36 and E46 and now we keep the E36. Such an amazing car..so many memories. BMW 3 series is like family tradition for us and theese cars have always been numer one for us. I am huge BMW fan thanks to my father and I will always be!

I have been always a BMW fan, I had an E30 before and I kept it for along time before selling. What I love about BMW is how easy it is to fix, in other words, you open the hood and you see everything in front of you. everything is there, yet is easy to fix, and also, you can modify the car for ever. Every penny I spent on this car worth it. Now, I have an E46 03 all wheel drive, God, how much I love this car. This car has about 230000 miles on it, and I bet you anyone if you can hear any noises. Wow, I'm speechless. NOw, I wish I ca have an i8. That is what I call my dream car. I'm kind of saving for it, and hopefully I can buy one in 10 years or so. and to be honest, I can't wait.
E34 535i was my first car, now I drive a e93 335i. Will always love bmw

One of the best BMW Series. I own BMW E36 318i Cabrio and i love it. It has a beautiful form and its pleasure to drive. Its old but still one of the best cars in the roads and many people still watch it when i drive it. BMW forever ❤
My BMW 318 i was from 1991, living in Hamburg, Germany I enjoyed driving through the City, the beautiful North German Countryside and most of all the Autobahn. Full speed early Sunday Mornings and sometimes during late hours in the night. Most exciting was 220 km/h in the pitch dark , light on full beam, Herbert Groenemeyer in my ears on full volume. All to clear my head as sales manager in the early days of personal computer introduction.
Today I know that was crazy 😵 but I must admit I enjoyed it very much 😊.
E36 1995 318i was my first car. I loved it. E46 2001 330i was my second car loved that one too. The E46 Alpina b3.3 is my favourite. The 2009 335i sedan is also a sweet spot car for the e90 gen once you solve the hpfp issue. I dont like the direction BMW went with the F30 by splitting the car into luxury, sport, modern, and blank personalities where you pay extra for the first three options and $0.00 for the blank option. The F30 marketing forgets what made the E2x/E30/E36/E46 cars great; the combination of all three elements-sporty driving, luxury parts and feel and modern technology/amenities ALL IN ONE CAR!!! So as a result the F30 is my least favourite 3 series.
olaf2046 Exactly! And all their new cars look too much the same! I love my E36, its just so reliable and good handling! And compared to other brands and cars from 95' it's like 10 years infront of the others

I don´t know if the different personalities were neccessary, but I´m very glad the the F30 design has brought back much of the dynamic appeal that was lost in the transition from E36 to E46 and especially E90. The E90 looks as if it has small wheels which shouldn´t be the case on a 3-series. There is too much metal over the rear wheels and the whole design doesn´t emphasize the horizontal lines enough. The F30 is well-proportioned, sleek and modern. However, my favorite generation is the E36, for my taste the dimensions of the E36 3-series should have never changed, that´s why I´m driving a 1-series now. :D

i was about 9 yo back then, but remembered that he always could easily outrun other cars in Jakarta highway. and i still remember the feel of the feel of the firm suspension and the smell of the leather seat :))

I've got a 1990 320i, 1987 325 and a 1988 325i convertible. always wanted my uncles 88 535i with the original Dinan package, 84000 miles, mint and unmodified.
I have a 2003 e46 touring. I love my car! BMW to me is the greatest car manufacturer in the world!

Back in the day I was 16 years old I had a 1987 325i drop top it was fun. U had little money I always used to go to the new bmw dealer. At a young age. A said one day I will buy one. I made money had a lot of sport cars. 18 years later. I got a new 320 I. Silver. U will never. Go back to any other. Sport car again. Bmw. For life. And I just got. A 1972 bmw. Tii fell it to my lap going to restore her. Bmw ....The ultimate driving machine
My first BMW was an E46 325i and I loved it. 2 years later I changed it up for the E46 M3 and I'm never swelling this car unless I have to. It's become part of me.
As someone whose owned multiple e30s, e36s, e46s, and e9xs the 3 series is definitely the best line up the world has seen. Just wish it kept being the ultimate driving machine
My first car was a 1998 E36 320i which is still in great running condition for 17 years until today. Just bought a 1st owned E46 M3 two years ago, and man that car was given love as much as I have given my E36. And I made a vow to myself that I won't ever replace those cars with the much more efficient but crappy cars of today because I know those cars will let me down as time goes by, unlike my BMWs.
i've been fortunate to own some great cars - my first was an AW11 MR2, followed by an E38, then a 944 Turbo. when I got my E36 M3, it really exceeded my expectations. It was a total chameleon of a car - a relatively comfortable 4 door sedan for commuting, a hooligan on quiet, rainy nights, a weapon on the track. The sorted fundamentals and incredible aftermarket has made it a truly great platform.
I own a 1996 E36 323i for a year now. It is in very good condition and I tend to keep it for a long time. A wonderful drive.
This video made me cry. This is just a beautiful and perfect video of the 3 Series generation. The 3 Series is a masterpiece and will be a masterpiece. I don't own a driving license yet but my first and only car will be a BMW 3 Series, no other cars accepted!

same thing here, except the car I fell in love with was the E21 320/323i, I still remember the introduction of the E30 late in 1982, I was 7 at the time. Both cars have been my favourite ever since and since 2010 I own a 1983 e30 320i, just yesterday I got a compliment (again) at a parking lot about its looks and how awesome it sounds. :-)

I owned two BMW's in my day. A 1982 323i 143hp E21 5sp and a 1989 318i 113hp 5sp E30/A both German spec'd cars. Had a lot of fun in those back then.
Still daily driving my E90 335i. Amazing car, the N55 is legendary.

2010 E93 328i with 124k miles here, absolutely beautiful machine even to this day!
My first ever BMW was a metallic dark blue e36 316i. Before that I drove VW. I had a rather serious accident with my last VW, so when the insurance paid out I shopped around for another car. I saw this rather striking older BMW and decided to test drive it and was sold. I drove that BMW for many years, being very loathe to get rid of it. About three years ago the town in which I live and surrounds experienced a great rainstorm which damaged my BMW beyond repair (well, beyond what I would have been able to afford to pay for repairs). My wife (then girlfriend) said that I actually shed a few tears as the car was towed away by the guy who purchased it to fix it. I then committed a grave sin: I purchased a Ford Ikon. I drove the Ikon for about a year, was never happy with it. You drive 80kph and it feels as though the car wants to hop off of the road.
My employer knew how much I loved the old BMW as I refused to buy another car whenever he prodded me to. So one day he comes to my office and shows me an advert for a car for sale at one of the dealers in our town: a white 2004 facelift e46 320d. I test drove the car (which was useless as I knew that I was going to buy it) and promptly traded in the Ikon and paid a handsome amount extra. But I am glad I did, I LOVE this car. I kinda like my wife also. 😂 I would love to keep this car, but I also want to have a newer BMW in future. Hopefully I will be able to have my cake and eat it!
How I Love BMW 3 Series. The E30 was my first car, then the E36 and after that the E46.
