This is definitely not ExpertVillage material. Should definitely be suggesting heat before removing those bolts on the rotor. Also, wiggling it loose is a great way to strip a torx bolt.

I always use bolt buster for this job letting them sit over night,I spray them thoroughly and your ready to go the next day
...heat and friction, just not good for brakes. I thought I saw 3 logos, but I missed the tat. Four logos in one shot. PAID.

All 8 of mine on brake disc are stripped. He isn't lying they won't come out. I've tried screw grab extractor kits drilling I can not get it off

When to replace a disc rotor ?
Torque wrenches should only be used for tightening, breaking bolts free throws off the calibration which could lead to over-torquing and busting bolts the next time you fasten. Or in this case, you could easily strip the soft threads torquing steel bolts into an aluminum wheel upon installation of the new rotor.
Edit: I'm not sure you're even using a torque wrench. In your installation you made good points on how to snug the bolts up well. As long as they're snug with loctite blue it's fine.
Hi daboroxson, you sound like someone with an excellent knowledge about this.
I have a Yamaha XJ6 with disc brakes that need to be replaced, the bolts are rusty and clearly mounted with loctite, I don't know what type loctite though. I am afraid I might brake the bolds if I try to much force, do you think heating them with a torch might dissolve the loctite?
I recommend using a high quality lubricant, Spraying the bolts a few times and let them sit overnight works out.
92 GSX 750 Katana. Evolution to rotor bolts on the front and it's still half way out is like almost impossible to turn them. You think somebody put in too much Loctite or is there another problem I don't know about. Thanks for quick response.
Two different metals. Its called galvanic action. Use a propane torch get em good and hot so they expand. Then let them cool. Try removing them then. If that doesnt work if the rim isnt painted you can try heating the rim around the bolts instead. If you do that you need to remove bolts while rim is hot because its expanded the hole. Good luck

You've made good video back then in 2008, but nowadays it's difficult to find and watch all of it in the right sequence. To each title heading you should add "part 1 of 5", "part 2 of 5" etc. I don't even know how many parts it has, it is so scattered among other UA-cam videos now.
Which torx socket is that made by? That is a tight fit.

@1Gsxrider I've been in California, Texas, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, Mississippi and Never have i heard it said "Al-u-min-ium" In my opinion that sounds stupid... Heres how I've always heard it said "Al-u-min-um" Dictionary. C om says "uh-loo-muh-nuhm" Aka how I've always heard it sound plus it is spelled Aluminum. It seems like you're extremely wrong my good friend.
It's different in US than in most other English speaking countries (as with many words) we don't say 'rotors' for example, we say 'discs'.
In the US it is 'ALUMINUM' in the UK (and elsewhere) it is ALUMINIUM... if you look in the Oxford English Dictionary, it's -IUM at the end... the -UM, only applies to the US spelling.
That said, does it even f****** matter?! :P
Blue Loctite has a code on the bottle, please name the code instate of the collor!
Agree with you there hrstaff. Another typically useless vid from 'expert village'. Most rotor bolts arent going anywhere without serious heat.
