BIG LIFT KIT ON LAND ROVER GOES WRONG

- SO since we've had the 300tdi for a few months now and we have done nothing but abuse it, it's about time to do some maintenance and some mods to get it ready for winter. Now there are a fair few issues with the Land Rover and we need to get around to fixing them, and the first one being; the Land Rover discovery is still on standard springs, meaning that it has SO much lean the big 35 inch tyres are hitting the body and causing so much damage. So today we are installing a 2 inch lift on the 300tdi, we already have lift blocks on the car so with this it should be a 5-6 inch lift!
But we make a huge huge mistake, and it all goes horribly wrong.
Think the landy is my favourite of all the cars tbh

Sod that, I'd leave them springs on the front and get another set for the rear heavy duty all round then 😎

Should of put some dislocation cones in on the back mate the springs pop out all the time it’s annoying
Need some castor correcting arms now. That will fix the bolt touching the shock and improve handling

Easy way to do fronts is take the turrets off 4 13mm nuts, and undu shock nuts top and bottom

Mate, remove the anti roll bars will make it articulate better
Lee get some new bushes for them rear shocks and fit the washers properly if you dont you will snap the rear shock off at the top. I made thag mistake on my defender

Just buy stiffer springs for the back, saves you messing about with the front again

When you try to compress them they should rebound immediately with minimal delay. If you’re able to squish them and they stay down or don’t return quickly it’s time to show them the bin!

Just get another pair of hd +2 rears and put on the rear and remove the front blocks it will sit nice and level that’s how I used to have mine makes it nice and stiff on the front aswel only reason mine not now is I’m on custom springs

You need to make some wooden chocks out of 3x2 that’s wot I did then jake the front end high enough to sit the front chassy under the radiator far easier
