True, you could argue about Stratholme, coming to Northrend (he did save Muradin and his expedition on the way, which is often omitted), but he did lie to his soldiers and betray his mercenaries which turned him into a massive dickhead. It had basis in history though, Hernan Cortes started his conquest of Aztec Empire by burning ships behind. Obviously he and his boys were no heroes, but you cannot deny them their massive balls and ingenuity.
Everything Arthas did up until after taking Frostmourne was absolutely justified and I will die on this hill. As far as he knew Mal'ganis was the only one commanding the undead invasion of Lordaeron. Neither Uther nor the king understood the gravity of the situation.

Correction: Arthas was under the influence of the crown since the last Lich King's soul is inside it. Aka Ner'Zhul. Even in the Dungeon Culling of Stratholme you hear Mal Ganis say at the end that he wants revenge on the Lich King. Notice how he says that to Arthas long before he took up the crown
Canon ending that I force myself to believe in: They got Arthas back. Arthas gets the glory of slaying the jailor. Putting him in a fate of non existence. Everyone goes home. Arthas spends his undead life fixing the wrongdoings of his past, being a conduit between the alliance and horde. Also fuck sylvanas.
"Self righteous" so true, they let him do all dirty work at Stratholme then call him the bad guy, if they assisted him at all times he wouldn't maybe gone for revenge, even then maybe Frostmourne wasn't necessary to defeat the mal'ganis

This was all a part of Ner'zuls plan to get revenge on Sargeras and dread lords
And on the Jailer.
The poor guy got manipulated by two evil entities at the same time.
Ner'zhul shall return one day. I have seen it.
Dude, it just makes so much sense, this would be a perfect story!
We haven't destroyed Kelthuzads phylactery, the scourge is now without a master and free to wander and run chaos around azeroth, WHICH BLIZZARD NEVER ADDRESSED IN SHADOWSLANDS which was a big effin deal in wotlk, and it's like, yeah no big deal. SO WHAT HAPPENS the scourge remembers their king and decide to be loyal to him. Every single scourge entity, and they rush to re-throne him, WHICH SHOULD BE IN EVERYONES INTEREST so the scourge dont destroy everything. We get arthas back and everyones happy,!!! We got illidan back, we're getting goody two shoes sylvanas back (which nobody really wants), so give us back arthas
Paladin Arthas: blinded by vengeance
Undead Arthas: sadistic tyrant
WoW Writers: throw this man a pity party.
Arthas should have been redeemed
Everything Arthas did up until after taking Frostmourne was absolutely justified and I will die on this hill. As far as he knew Mal'ganis was the only one commanding the undead invasion of Lordaeron. Neither Uther nor the king understood the gravity of the situation.
1:40 God, I miss Anub'arak. I hope I'm not the only one
wouldve loved this instead of what we got *even if the cutscene was a warcraft 3 one would be 100 times better*
Kudos for Anu'araks glorious return! Yet another character who got punked on by Blizzard.
Really, really late reply, but what happened to Anub arak? Been a long time since I played frozen throne and I have always disliked mmos (except swtor, that one is awesome, at least story wise)
@@carlosplata3899 He was turned into the final boss of a leveling dungeon and wasn't really a big deal. Then he returned in a throwaway raid as its last boss, and while somewhat tougher...still kinda lame. It probably would have been less of a downer had Blizzard actually made the Azjol-Nerub zone they'd had planned, but they didn't have the time/knowhow to do an underground zone.
At least until the following expansion, where Deepholm existed.
@@Duneczan A shame, despite not being in base w3 I liked the guy, had a lot of potential for lore, maybe even a nerubian sub-faction. I want my RTS back damnit! :(
0:03 Anduin been hitting hard on those steroid doses lately!
Is it bad that I was more entertained by this than the actual ending?
No, you are a man of taste.
You know what expected?Arthas gets revived to be the new jailer ,a rightoues one something like that...jesus
Of course this video surpassed the expectations! It was awesome
ok boys lets get back to the next mission 2:51 *A Symphony of Frost and Flame*
Shows how shit shadowland writing is when writing is improved by adding what is supposed to be a meme
*AH AT LAST*
The ending we deserve!
I was hoping for redemption for Arthas. But still better than this fuckin bullshit Blizzard made. Why Sylvanas who was controled by Jailer got redemption, but Arthas who also was controled by Jailer did not? I hate Blizzard for that and I'm glad Microsoft bought them.
@@merlidan3244 they retconned basically all of WC3 and WOTLK
Canon ending that I force myself to believe in:
They got Arthas back. Arthas gets the glory of slaying the jailor. Putting him in a fate of non existence.
Everyone goes home. Arthas spends his undead life fixing the wrongdoings of his past, being a conduit between the alliance and horde.
Also fuck sylvanas.
This feels like a better ending than... whatver the heck they've been doing.
Wow, Shadowland's ending cinematic looks lit!!
"Self righteous" so true, they let him do all dirty work at Stratholme then call him the bad guy, if they assisted him at all times he wouldn't maybe gone for revenge, even then maybe Frostmourne wasn't necessary to defeat the mal'ganis
Anduin's portrait looking like Trunks from DragonBall changes the narrative slightly.
Just slightly.
Activision is so dumb, they thought it would make sense that Uther would join the same team as the Lich King and sylvanad. none of shadow lands story made ANY sense. I hope Microsoft takes over soon
prepare to see master chief halo as next playable character
@@KingLich451 makes more sense than sc2 or the lore at this point
Same here, i hope Microsoft just recycles this pile of steammy crap completely, time to close this chapter and make another game, Blizz became too lazy to create new games, they kept living from games created more than a decade ago
Maybe Microsoft will throw WoW to trush like Disney did this with Star Wars books and will make new story in Warcraft 4 and new better Warcraft MMO.
@@Archont_ I dont think MS will ruin anything like Disney. Disney and Activision are the biggest franchise killers of all time
Seeing the original Scourge trio and hearing their quotes, with old school WC3 music in the background sent some pretty strong shivers down my spine
"I tell you this.. when my days come to an end, you shall be king."
- Terenas Menethil circa 2008
The King shall return... Sooner or later. The pretenders and and the beasts and the legions and the "civilized" folk shall feel the wrath of the scourge once more - and forever.
We gotta get this shared to Bellular, Asmon and pretty much EVRY WoW youtuber and make Blizz see how they fucked up. Whoever you share this;NOBODY can actually deny the accuracy and dead on depiction of these characters in one of the simplistic maps ive ever seen... While they spend millions to just complicate and ruin characters and their story. This is what players wanted THIS little custom map has more quality and praise then anything they have come out with
Thanks man. I hope this will reach out to many other WoW youtubers like Asmon. I would love to see their reaction to it, especially Nixxiom xD
Make this canon ffs
Asmon should react to this so it goes viral and with a little support, we can have a saved fan made warcraft lore
I hope so man. I would love to see his live reaction
“Ah, at last!”
Uther - "After all this time?"
Kelthuzad - "Always!"
Could you imagine Our Lichbro put Arthas's soul into the jailer's Vacant body?
And so the Lich King has returned once more!
Way better than the "farting out of existence surrounded by hypocrites" ending Activision Blizzard gave him
Easily in the top 10 worst anime betrayals in gaming
"May the last whisper of your name fade, and be forgotten."
Bitch have you forgotten about Menethil Harbor? Shit's never going to be forgotten
NOW THIS! This is beautiful.
First law of spirituality: Souls can be broken, but never killed.
How about vengeful spirits?
@@Hvorgandr broken by vengeful spirits, but a soul cannot kill a soul. Just God can "unmake'" you.
KT and Anub’arak with the biggest clutch play in recent history
Blizzard needs to just steal this. OMG that would be awesome to have KT just pull a fast on on all of us!
Yeeeess. YEEESSSS.
I'm celebrating this so much. YOUR SELF RIGHTOUS ORDER WILL CEASE TO EXIST.
Justice for Arthas! Goosebumps.
This video is justice incarnate.
I like the fact that Sylvanas is the first to die and jaina be the last one to.
Amazing! xD
Now do a version where Paladin Arthas returns and smacks Sylvanas! :p
please do
If we as a community believe hard enough, then this is the true cannon story. Not whatever blizzard threw together hungover for the past 4 years.
Now we just need a mod in game that will replace the og cutscene with this one.
Yes! I love it when King Arthas dominates his enemies.
This would never have happened if Arthas stuck with Zeratul
Arthas And The Boys is back
Thank you for making this with the REAL Warcraft 3. Perfection.
Perhaps, true friends are the undead that we raised during our damnation.
This scene alone makes the Starcraft 2 Story look like a masterpiece.
ONWARD FOR THE SCOURGE! SLAY THEM IN NER'ZHUL'S NAME!
This is a double flipoff in Blizzard's face. :) It's like saying:
1. Your story sucks, here is a better one in 5 minutes!
2. Reforged also sucks, so I am making this with the original Warcraft 3
Arthas gets revived
Arthas: I´m back bitches!!
Who can make the better wow story ending, Blizzard, a huge and long standing game company, or Executor boi.
Better ending than the real one.
This felt like real closure. Thank you
Happy ending unlocked
Actually had shivers thank you
The lore that shouldve been.
Also the way Arthas just use those lines, he learned nothing from being dead 🤣🤣😂😂😂
Arthas: I WILL FCKING DO IT AGAIN
You just can't possibly hate Arthas, no one can :D
It feels like it's literally based off a memory and not actually him.
Is that Calebcity reference?
Yes dude, so much yes. send those crappy wow plot masters back to their maker.
Not sure why was the jaina model staff flickering but hmm, shouldn't happen, nice to see you using Hive stuff though 😄
This is the canon now.
This is beautiful and I'm in tears. Finally after so much time, some good WoW lore.
This is canon btw
Jaina turning into a dreadlord as Arthas revives would've been the cherry on the cake
THAT WOULD'VE BEEN INSANE XD
This is, beautiful, fitting for a revenge or comeback, of king ARTHAS.
Uther faction: "Uther party"
Only OG's will understand.
I still can't believe they brought him back only to have Sylvanas tell him to f*** off.
FOR THE FROZEN THRONE!
Kel'thuzad is best bro, always was, always will be!
Kelthuzad back at it again for round 27
Good ending
Well this is WAY more fun then the official ending
This entire expansion must be purged.
Better than Shadowlands cinematics
I consider this to be the real canon
This is now the canon ending of SL and of WoW. The whole comunity agrees.
"Back you mindless ones! You shall not fall today, my king!"
You know, it's simple, but it's one of my favorite lines from any piece of media. Even in spite of the literal character assassination, Kel'Thuzad was truly a bro that we all aspire to be.
I was hoping kel thuzad was gonna betray the jailer and save Arthas with Anubarak. That would have been so epic.
