Facts 💀 came here expecting to see the simple tools most people can afford, this man is in a woodshop. I feel even with no experience all of this equipment would help anyone.
Good tips, Brandon. I save my old credit cards and the fake ones I receive in the mail to use as spreaders. I can just toss them. Pinking shears give a serrated edge for heavier spreading. Stay safe (double safe). Bill
How do you decide the orientation of the boards before glue up? Just based on aesthetics, or does the grain direction come into play to account for wood movement so the boards don't split later?
Mild anxiety 😂 I had no clue some people don’t do it this way, I’m always running both sides getting in a nice groove flipping pieces and trying not to trip on the dust collection 🤦♀️
Well unless you're from here then the name won't do you much good lol. But it's Hughes Hardwoods in Chico, CA.im sure if you Google hardwood dealer in my area there may be one near you. You could also get it from stores like rockler or Woodcraft if you have one locally but typically they are higher priced.
Hi how are you. From Argentina I wondering the name of the clamps you attached to the table saw fence wich push Wood to table top. So nice o checked all yous links and there isnt there.
Hey Brandon, how do you like those Jorgensen P-clamps. I'm looking for good square clamps. Amazon has some Bora clamps, there's Bessey, and I just heard of these Jorgensen. Are you sponsored by them, by chance?
Because a 4x4 wouldn't end up being a 4x4 it starts as 3.5x3.5 when you clean it up it'll be something like a 3x3 or 3.25x3.25 well off of the 4x4 he was originally after
@@philipcoulson3111 There is no science that 4x4 will be strongest. MOST table chairs you will find are actually much thinner. I just don't understand unecessary extra work to make that wood.
@@SwapnilBhartiyaYou’re the only person bringing up strength. The man builds actual 4”x4” for the looks. However, since you’re obsessed with it, 4:54 yes, an actual 4”x4” will be far stronger than a finished 3.25”x3.25”.

A video for all the people who own a table saw, mitre saw, joiner and planer but can't make simple table legs.

lol, right?
I have those and I still struggle so I actually benefited from this vid
That's a cool miter saw... I've never seen one before!
Yea the delta cruzer is pretty awesome!
Nicely done Brandon 👌
Thank you!
Have thousands of dollars worth of special equipment. Got it.
Lol you don’t need thousands in special equipment.
Handy info. Thanks!
Great video !!

Haha that's a good idea with the cards. Always double safe! 😂

As long as they are kiln dried that shouldn't be an issue
After getting your two square sides on the jointer, why switch to the planer and not finish on the jointer?
Makes it easier to get them all the same size

Hahaha
Why glue the together instead of just using a 4x4?
Where do you get your dimensional lumber? Big box stuff doesn't look anything like that.
Local hardwood dealer.
@@WalkersWoodworks very informative. 🙄

Is there a reason you don't joint and plane the boards before you glue them together? What if the faces you glue aren't flat?
Good question. I buy my lumber s3s (surfaced on 3 sides). So it's already jointed and planed when I get it. 👍

Gema Antiques Jorgensen clamps (as learned from an earlier comment)
Yes they are pony Jorgensen clamps. Love them. 😁
Thanks you both but, Are we talking about the clamp which appears in second 00:17?
Oh those are the JessEm ts stock guides. There is a link for them in the description 👍
@@WalkersWoodworks Ahhhhh ... yes, thank you very much.
Was this just made from 2 by construction lumber?
Do you get a lot of snipe on the DW735?
Hardly any

I am sponsored by them. But I have used bora and bessy also. Not a fan of bora at all. Bessy are OK but I like the way the Jorgensen clamps slide.
Do you make all of your table legs?
Unless they are turned. I order those.
4×4?
That’s where my tape went
Stuck to your hat? Haha
I'm dumb so I'm probably the only one who doesn't know what kind of wood that is. Ash? Hickory? Hard maple?
Looks like knotty Alder
Correct! Knotty Alder.
double safety glass, double protection.
Why not get 4x4 which will be stronger?

1:33 what kind of clamp is that?
The pony Jorgensen cabinet masters 👍
@@WalkersWoodworks i mean what kind?
Gonna bring up some old shit. But I love my Cruzer. Shadow Line is great.
Awesome vid. I would love a review on that planer. I want one so bad, my wen works great but snipes like a bitch!
I love it! Works awesome.
Remember kids, keep your forehead safe.
That's right! All the saftey! Haha
Wow I need a man lol
4×4 or 6×6 would more easier, convince and save money
You have a hardwood dealer that sells 4x4 alder? I don't.
Woodworking is an expensive hobby. If you don't wanna invest in tools, then this isn't for you. Stop complaining! These are basic woodworking tools..
Why not just buy 4x4s?
Because they don't sell them in hardwood.
No one ever watches or listens…
