    Another reason for throwing short punches when speed training is to avoid hyperextending your elbows.

    I’ve done the resistance band and that does really help. I like the idea that you try to make two punches sound like one.

      They really do help. It feels temporary at first, but when you keep it up it ends up being the new standard.

    I'll take all of it really, I'm just exercicing at home, I'm not in a gym yet, but the fundamental concept is what I'll take in. Give it 100% all the time. Another fundamental concept I'll take in, is cardio. I keep referring to Mike Tyson, because lets face it he was one of the realist, but what Mike Tyson did for cardio was about 3000 pushups daily, 4000 situps daily, something like that, and jog 3-5 miles a day with a 50lbs weight vest. No real body building exercises. That was enough for him to get him at the size he wanted to face any boxer in the world. Or better said condition he wanted to face any boxer in the world. Thank you for this, much appreciated.

    Hey coach, I am really enjoy your videos. Instead of boxing I am applying it to tennis. Your heavy bag drills are helping me in developing my striking action so I can apply that to my groundstrokes.
    Could you please explain me what are snap punches in boxing?

    Excellent channel..big fan..
    So what exactly makes your punch powerful?..I mean I know there are strength workouts to generate powerful punch..but in general..for example..having more muscles like big biceps or shoulders makes you puncher powerful?..then why skinny guys will have more power in their punches than muscles guys?!..or its genetic thing and matter of nerves?

    • @BrawlBrosBoxing
      @BrawlBrosBoxing  3 роки тому +1

      It's a few factors:
      1. Genes
      2. Size and Muscle mass
      3. Technique
      4. Strength and explosiveness training
      5. Throwing for power.
      Some people are born with more punching power than others, but everyone can do things to develop their maximum potential.

      All good man! We’re still a new channel so it’s normal to take some time for UA-cam to push you. If you feel like sharing you can share us in Facebook groups, forums, and Reddit’s that are relevant to boxing.
