Vital Mx forum would have a huge meltdown if the 450 class went to 400cc. It would be hilarious 😂
And it should really go to 350
Allow stock 250 2 strokes in mx2, Canada does it and it works well
Make the tracks completely different for each race so the big teams don't have dedicated practice tracks like the race track.
Lemans starts. Dead engine.
The two strokes AREN'T BEING ALLOWED TO COME BACK !
🤬 EPA & AMA
NOT that they're not coming back
let's face it the two strokes are the true and only answer to the Supercross too much power problem ...
bring back the two strokes and especially the 500cc two stroke
Outdoor nationals 😎💪🤙
Part of what made 2 strokes so great is the real-time calculus a ride had to do to try and determine IF they are going to clear something.
The fix: 250s for the Premier class, and 150s for the other.
Ryan Hughes during a interview mentioned 450 are to fast. He was advocating for manufactures to build 350.
You could win on a 350. I'm a 2T guy woods rider. But, they need to change the tracks. They have to. Too many tracks that weigh heavy on the start. You should be able to pass if you're good. The start should not matter as much as it does.
@1Joe-dangerous they could make it so the 450 is stock performance or even de-tune them all to the same hp. putting more rider talent on display.
@@eddalton8530 This sounds like Nascar..no thanks. The 450 already has way too much power. The key to it, is making it usable. My problem is the tracks. They are basically designing tracks to make it impossible to pass after it gets destroyed. They need to make better tracks. More passing lanes. If you are good, you will pass (if you can).
@chewyb383 I'm no fan of nascar. i just think there are lots of talented riders who get smoked by the "factory bikes" . or give the non factory riders access to the same parts as the top 4 or 5 guys. even it up a little is all im sayin..
Johnny Hopper has also been bringing up the grate starts. Def seems like they took that edge away from the dudes that can start
And yes, get rid of the holeshot devices and crates. If they don't add to the racing, there is no point in having them.
Rumor is Yamaha is developing a 350...🤙🏁
Cookie cutter motor sports SUX
Great conversation
Bring back the 250 2 stroke PLEASE
outgrown*
350 is the answer, and drop the weight minimum or the bike down to 180lbs! Too heavy too fast. Remove ALL electronics and start devices!
make the god damn sport affordable again and BRING BACK THE GOD DAMN 250 2 STROKES! The sport was 100000x better. Everyone could AFFORD it and the racing was 10x better.
Yes
Yep but there was probably 10x less ppl in the sport
Your not smart@@robertjolliffe4164
Word
Carbureted, one ignition curve, no launch control.
That's why we will never see another js7.. rc4, after deegan, deegan is the last of the family bred, champions ,thats visually different from the rest
I love watching Deegan ride. Jett is impressive AF but so is Deegs. Deegs just has soo much style and is all out most of the time even when he doesn't need to which is risky. Jett just doesn't have the same gnarly style that keeps me on the edge of my seat.
Yes no grates. On the start. Is a dirtbike. C-mon man !!!
350
Jett will get the holeshot and it's over. I have no reason to watch at that point.
No more scoops sx
No grates and ditch the start maps. Make them control the rpm and the clutch slip themselves. Right now Honda boys are just dumping the clutch. There is ZERO feeding of the clutch happening on the start with them and it shows compared to the guys who still have to manipulate the clutch to keep the front end down.
Being able to hold the throttle on the stop and just dump the clutch on a grate with a hold down leads to the shit we have to deal with right now. Hold downs are fine. Grates need to go and electronics need to be limited. Period.
No matter what you do , the best guys will still get the starts
@@LetBrockBye that’s the point. Separation. We have none right now. Who gets the holeshot is irrelevant. It’s about the pileups first turn because the ENTIRE pack is reaching it with a half bike length separation. Count pileups today vs 10 years ago. Dirt and lack of electronic starting aids spread the field out in turn one.
Bring back the the two stroke five hundred class
They never raced supercross with the 500s.
AMA should have a 2-Stroke Series like NASCAR has the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series. Have two-stroke 125cc, 250cc and an Open Class. I'd watch that for sure. I couldn't care less about the 4-Strokes, but they should learn from their mistakes and do the same for the E-Bikes and not try and replace the 4-Strokes w/ E-Bikes.
If they fucking go to e bikes I'll never watch another race again
Honda's fault
The Japanese brands NEED to make a 350f model, the ktm is amazing
And yes. Bring back. 250 2 strokes. Asap
Really good point that grates cause immediate high mph into the first turn no matter what. Did not think of this before from a safety perspective
What about a coin toss every weekend after qualifying for inverted gate selection? Fastest guy could have first gate pick or last you never know
How about riding stock bikes
The smell of 2 stroke oil and sound in stadium..braasaaaap
AMA, please listen 💯💯💯
They won't.
@@Brian-rn2wx sad but true, they have the power to make racing better for the riders n the fans... If they would actually listen n apply what riders feel would make tracks better for all classes n the excitement of fans... Interesting, because more fans equals more $$$, 1 would think they could catch on ..
AMA only care about dues, membership, and $$
@noelgarvin7637 Not to mention how much the manufacturers would also benefit greatly by selling and advertising more bikes and it would make for better and more competitive racing. I say the same way MLB only allows wood bats over aluminum because one is more superior than the other, then the same argument could be made for 2 strokes vs 4 strokes but hey.. I'm just a bystander. That's a case of too many old washed beaurocrats who only care about lining their own pockets
@bigchaloopa Im guessing That's probably why they're going after corksey.
The guys on 450s don’t send it that much harder than guys on the 250s either so why not go back to 125 and 250
Bring back the track designs from the mid eighties.
Go back to qualifiers, too.
I been saying for years, supercross is 2 strokes house period, big names would love to have a 2 stroke series not having to ride,450,s til outdoors, because it's just NASCAR In sx form...
If you want a 2 stroke race …. Put up a 50,000 purse
ELECTRONICS, as you said, are the answer! Let everyone know what the specs are going to be & have the PROMOTER hand out those units to EVERYONE so it's still rider & setup but now we have some parity. The production rule was going to FIX & SAVE the lowest & slowest & that didn't work. With the Stark & other electric race bikes coming, SPEC ELECTRONICS are going to become the norm anyway. This would be more help than the production rule because no matter what the factories did, everyone gets the same power & overall speed so let the rider make the difference.
300cc 2 strokes . Race be ticket .
Really make it a nail biter - which is what you want.
Qualify to make the show.
Two 15 min races ( 12 for 250’s) Points leader draws chip 1-5 , same second for second, third , fourth and fifth. The rest draw 6-20 . 21,22 qualifier no draw just line up second row! 1-5 Televised on big screen- open up gambling opportunity on your phone as a game of chance! Thank you America - “ if you gotta problem woo I’ll solve it.
Second race, you solve- first race result or same lineup again.
F1 has survived without all of the driver aids & the best driver/car combo wins & isn't it great that RED BULLS turd of a car that no other person except MAX can drive fast is now getting to be so bad that even MAX can't drive either!!
Absolutely go 350’s. Yamaha is so far behind the power curve on the release of a 350. I heard they are in the process of working on one though. Duff you should know. Can’t believe they are wasting the market since it has been KTM’s best selling bike for years.
The modern-day stadiums are a lot smaller than the older domes like the old king dome and the silver dome. The 450s on those small short tight tracks have way too much power. They should pick the biggest stadiums or domes to race in. Actually, stop going to that mini stadium in Utah and go back to the Vagas and race like they used to. And go to New Orleans and race in that dome or more baseball stadiums. These 48 to 60 seacond lap time races suck. The racks suck also. Bring back Atlanta motor speedway also.
Motocross and Supercross are nearly perfect sports. Be careful with the new rules to fucking it up.
Well done to the Honda boys for kicking the shit out of the competition.
I know its not base ball but In Pro MLB aluminum bats are not allowed because they're superior to wood bats.
In MX/SX 4 strokes are superior to 2 strokes but they're allowed to race on the superior platform.
I say the true capabilities and talents of an athlete are always displayed more on the inferior equipment, its better for the sport and the manufacturers sell more bikes. But thats just my opinion 🤷🏾.
Go to Saudi Arabia and have them buy a team and run 2 strokes internationally and give them stupid money. But to do that you have to continue to grow bike racing on a dirtbike
we need to start leaving the track format and starting grids up to the track owners. not only does it change things up, but they dont have a standard to compare and rely on to win every race. because yes, the dirt changes, but they already know what each track will be like, and how the start is gonna be. if its not officially said and set with a standard no one will have a edge because they have to udjust much more on race day and hopefully get it right or add more tracks and pick out of a hat so that the tracks arnt always the same. theres many ways to change it up.
The metal starting grates definitely should go! Choosing and/or prepping a rut had a lot to do with who got good starts or not. That was always a crucial part of the race. I also don’t think they make the SX tracks technical enough. When they’re too easy quality of the racing goes down because there’s less places to make passes. Whether you’re the rider or a spectator, nobody wants slot bike racing.
The 350 argument has never made sense to me. You already have a slower, lighter and cheaper bike legal in the class and that's the 250 two stroke
We are watching a pro sport and were trying to make it easier for the riders lmaoo again a PRO SPORT and were taking out whoops and dragon backs which is the stupidest shit iv ever heard of in my life,Riders dont have to jump stuff if they dont want to and if they get hurt doing it then thats part of it, football players get hurt hell every sport has injuries. If the sx stadiums are too small for 450s and i agree on that then do tracks at these speedways were they can open the bikes up more, All this could be fixed if we had smart ppl running the show!
Who is really behind no more whoops and all these tracks being noticably more generic with no more big rhythms or anything that can be turned into a bigger jump than originally intended being taken out. Like are whoops really gone for good?? and if so, is the whole sport really just sitting here allowing an iconic/fundamental piece of racing to be deleted without any push back of any sort. Who is behind this and why is it that whoever it is that are a tiny minority, dont give a f about moto x except for the money it puts in their pocket, get to dictate & omit parts of our sport without anyone even talking about it. Am i totally off on this? Ive noticed a comsiderable difference in the tracks past 2 seasons, i havnt heard a single person who like the changes but i also havnt heard a single ounce of pushback or people really bringing it up. Why do we let people who dont even really love the sport ruin it with BS like this. Once you lose somthing its a lot harder to get back and much more likely to be gone for good.😑
Trash the grates!!!
The way to bring it back into line - is remove any other electronic aids for the bikes along with grates for start.... HP is what it is, but electronic aids are not rewarding the most skilled if your not on the team with the best programmers and electronics your at a disadvantage.... remove TC, Holeshot, Wheelie ect ect.... thats really the balance that needs to be brought in as from top10 top 20th can bring the pack right back closer and more even.... remove the electronics we didnt have it through the best years of racing
outgrown
At least bring back 125 all star & let the 250 2 allowed to race the lights class if they want. I used to look forward to those 125 all star races just as much as the pro class motos. It just pisses me off that there is still a concerted effort to do away with everything 2 stroke when clearly the 4 strokes arent going anywhere and everyone in the sport loves 2 strokes so because the disney overlords dont like it everyone of us og fans dont get to have it. Whats worse is that itll prob be sooner than later that one day the electric bikes come in and overnight just like with the 4 strokes, combustion engine racing will die overnight just the same. I pray to god im wrong about that
I think the grates make for a more even playing field and a better race to watch if the field is more likely to be mixed from the start. Otherwise you’re favouring the fastest qualifier which makes for a less interesting race.
Get rid of scoop and sand tires. Only one set of tires for the entire weekend. Maximum of 93 octane fuel. Get rid of gate starts. Get rid of single line track design.
Can u make a two stroke 350 class
300 cc 2 smoke all the way.
We have to be able to separate the skill level in riders, but you can't when everyone is on a Cadillac of a 450 and can do the same obstacles even if they are not a relevant rider....
I am not a fan of Supercross because the bikes are too good for the tracks. It's not like it was in the 80s. I'd actually like to see them all on identical 85s or at least put some obstacles in the track like Endurocross.
Start on dirt and have a limit to how deep the holeshot device can go
Basically the sport is not getting any better at the top level. The people in control are will be the demise
If 450s were to fast then the top guys wouldn't want more power but they do. The separator is talent, budget and setup knowledge. You can fix budget you could do control tyres but you can't fix talent and setup knowledge.
They don't want more power. What they want is better power delivery but they always tune down the engines for supercross. It's all about traction in SX
I agree, Stop allowing, traction control, wheely control, all this tech, let the rider make it happen.....you said it ....rider skill. Soon, we can watch robots race.
You never know, it may keep the lesser skilled riders more competitive
