AMA should have a 2-Stroke Series like NASCAR has the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series. Have two-stroke 125cc, 250cc and an Open Class. I'd watch that for sure. I couldn't care less about the 4-Strokes, but they should learn from their mistakes and do the same for the E-Bikes and not try and replace the 4-Strokes w/ E-Bikes.
I dunno, by the end of a 2-stroke SX event you couldn’t see through the fog and your eyes & nose were burning. I raced CR500R and a KX250, but I prefer the modern bikes now.
This is why I will always love Bubba, even on a 450 he found lines pretty much no one else would do. There would be the occasional Reed or Villo that would either go for it, or see Bubba do a line and go for it. Hell, when Jett did that 5 out in sx this year, they made the section longer so he couldn't do it. That is so stupid, he had the balls to jump it let him do it.
ELECTRONICS, as you said, are the answer! Let everyone know what the specs are going to be & have the PROMOTER hand out those units to EVERYONE so it's still rider & setup but now we have some parity. The production rule was going to FIX & SAVE the lowest & slowest & that didn't work. With the Stark & other electric race bikes coming, SPEC ELECTRONICS are going to become the norm anyway. This would be more help than the production rule because no matter what the factories did, everyone gets the same power & overall speed so let the rider make the difference.
Feld mx sports would let manus pay them and get an advantage. Look at how dirty they do the privateers with sound tests and other things if they perform well. The sport is already incredibly corrupt.
Really make it a nail biter - which is what you want. Qualify to make the show. Two 15 min races ( 12 for 250’s) Points leader draws chip 1-5 , same second for second, third , fourth and fifth. The rest draw 6-20 . 21,22 qualifier no draw just line up second row! 1-5 Televised on big screen- open up gambling opportunity on your phone as a game of chance! Thank you America - “ if you gotta problem woo I’ll solve it. Second race, you solve- first race result or same lineup again.

we need to start leaving the track format and starting grids up to the track owners. not only does it change things up, but they dont have a standard to compare and rely on to win every race. because yes, the dirt changes, but they already know what each track will be like, and how the start is gonna be. if its not officially said and set with a standard no one will have a edge because they have to udjust much more on race day and hopefully get it right or add more tracks and pick out of a hat so that the tracks arnt always the same. theres many ways to change it up.
They went to kill of the two strokes for pollution and emissions, but in reality did they publish anything that could reveal how much motocross as a whole released in total, no they did not. It was so crazy how they made rapid decisions based on such a fragment of emission. And funny enough, some major top players in this sport thought this was a bad idea, politicians and manufactures did not bother to listen to them, or the moto community. Here we are, two strokes are gone in motocross, but they are doing fairly well other branches of offroad, but limited to fewer manufactures that actually makes them. They are not coming back, well why cant that change? I would have loved to sit down with hondas, suzukis, Kawasakis top decision makers and actually here whats going on in their minds.
Not everyone limits themselves to riding in a circle... Lot's of us need more power for our chosen disciplines. Definitely not too fast for lots and lots of us.
The answer is yes, the open class should be 300 or 350 cc, all traction controls removed , fuel mapping removed . Ride the damn bikes with out all the gadgets. Design the tracks for the technical rider, get the bikes out of the air and put them back on the ground as much as possible. Motocross was hard ,demanding, brutal back in the day with 2 -45 min moto’s More side by side competition. The speed has to come down in the small space these stadium tracks are.
That middle ground is going to be very hard to recognize at this point in regards to the technology and the accessibility or those "benefits" to each rider and team. I don't think it would happen. The only way the money and marketers could allow it would be with a separate series, which would be detrimental to their current programs and directions.
Look what they did in golf when the equipment made the courses shorter. They limited the golf ball and driver performance. In supercross, they need to shrink the displacement. That will help drive technology.
The way to bring it back into line - is remove any other electronic aids for the bikes along with grates for start.... HP is what it is, but electronic aids are not rewarding the most skilled if your not on the team with the best programmers and electronics your at a disadvantage.... remove TC, Holeshot, Wheelie ect ect.... thats really the balance that needs to be brought in as from top10 top 20th can bring the pack right back closer and more even.... remove the electronics we didnt have it through the best years of racing
The two strokes AREN'T BEING ALLOWED TO COME BACK ! 🤬 EPA & AMA NOT that they're not coming back let's face it the two strokes are the true and only answer to the Supercross too much power problem ... bring back the two strokes and especially the 500cc two stroke Outdoor nationals 😎💪🤙
300cc 2 strokes bridge the gap between old 2 strokes and modern 450's, at least in the way power is made. 2 strokes should come back, and it should be an AMA 300cc Pro MX class.
Scrubbing only became a thing because of the speeds amateurs could generate with more power. Without 450s, no junior guy would have had to all of a sudden slow down for smaller jumps.
Go to Saudi Arabia and have them buy a team and run 2 strokes internationally and give them stupid money. But to do that you have to continue to grow bike racing on a dirtbike
We have to be able to separate the skill level in riders, but you can't when everyone is on a Cadillac of a 450 and can do the same obstacles even if they are not a relevant rider....
If 450s were to fast then the top guys wouldn't want more power but they do. The separator is talent, budget and setup knowledge. You can fix budget you could do control tyres but you can't fix talent and setup knowledge.
They don't want more power. What they want is better power delivery but they always tune down the engines for supercross. It's all about traction in SX
@allmtbnzscottbrownhill2896 who? Maybe the 250s but look at the most recent austin forever interview. He even said the 450s are too powerful and you have to map them down because if not you don't get traction. It's all tire spin because there's too much power. If you can't get the power to the ground it's pointless. That's why all the factory teams spend endless hours and money mapping and perfecting these engines. There's not one triple in supercross you can't hit in 1st gear on a 450. Just ask yourself on what part of any SX track last year would more power have helped any rider. There's a reason why so many of these guys love 350s. The 450s are just too much for a so track
I know its not base ball but In Pro MLB aluminum bats are not allowed because they're superior to wood bats. In MX/SX 4 strokes are superior to 2 strokes but they're allowed to race on the superior platform. I say the true capabilities and talents of an athlete are always displayed more on the inferior equipment, its better for the sport and the manufacturers sell more bikes. But thats just my opinion 🤷🏾.
I been saying for years, supercross is 2 strokes house period, big names would love to have a 2 stroke series not having to ride,450,s til outdoors, because it's just NASCAR In sx form...
We are watching a pro sport and were trying to make it easier for the riders lmaoo again a PRO SPORT and were taking out whoops and dragon backs which is the stupidest shit iv ever heard of in my life,Riders dont have to jump stuff if they dont want to and if they get hurt doing it then thats part of it, football players get hurt hell every sport has injuries. If the sx stadiums are too small for 450s and i agree on that then do tracks at these speedways were they can open the bikes up more, All this could be fixed if we had smart ppl running the show!
It's all about liability. Mx is the only sport where if a yellow flag waves the cameras actively try to hide it. Every other racing series they replay the crash over and over. But they don't get hurt, and have so many safety devices where mx has almost none. Mx is one of the last racing series you can actually die pretty easily. And at the end of the day it's about money. It will get way worse before it gets better.
Dirt starts, no starting devices, no slipper clutches and bikes straight off the show room floor with stock motors and no mapping or tunes. No more high tech factory bikes. Suspension wise you can change springs but no custom valving. You can change handle bars but not bar position. You can change tires but not gearing, and no more race fuel just good old regular pump gas.
You talk about starts being about the rider. But ur on a team, so why wouldn't you have the best mechanics, engineers and innovation to get the hole shots.

I say the same way MLB only allows wood bats over aluminum because one is more superior than the other, then the same argument could be made for 2 strokes vs 4 strokes but hey.. I'm just a bystander. That's a case of too many old washed beaurocrats who only care about lining their own pockets
@bigchaloopa Im guessing That's probably why they're going after corksey.
If they fucking go to e bikes I'll never watch another race again
Brent has a Vialle kind of vibe!
Dirt starts would be awesome!
The Japanese brands NEED to make a 350f model, the ktm is amazing
What about a coin toss every weekend after qualifying for inverted gate selection? Fastest guy could have first gate pick or last you never know
People complaining about 450s having too much power the solution of that is just bigger tracks longer straits utilize that power i’m talking deep ruts, deep mud, longer jumps, ect
Start on dirt and have a limit to how deep the holeshot device can go
we need to start leaving the track format and starting grids up to the track owners. not only does it change things up, but they dont have a standard to compare and rely on to win every race. because yes, the dirt changes, but they already know what each track will be like, and how the start is gonna be. if its not officially said and set with a standard no one will have a edge because they have to udjust much more on race day and hopefully get it right or add more tracks and pick out of a hat so that the tracks arnt always the same. theres many ways to change it up.
Jett will get the holeshot and it's over. I have no reason to watch at that point.
20 riders , super pole top10 , 2 rows of start, staggered creates 1 bike wide seperation between al riders
Well they used to have heats. They only took that away a few years ago.
Bring back the track designs from the mid eighties.
Not everyone limits themselves to riding in a circle... Lot's of us need more power for our chosen disciplines. Definitely not too fast for lots and lots of us.
Bring back the the two stroke five hundred class
They never raced supercross with the 500s.
How about riding stock bikes
The answer is yes, the open class should be 300 or 350 cc, all traction controls removed , fuel mapping removed . Ride the damn bikes with out all the gadgets. Design the tracks for the technical rider, get the bikes out of the air and put them back on the ground as much as possible. Motocross was hard ,demanding, brutal back in the day with 2 -45 min moto’s More side by side competition. The speed has to come down in the small space these stadium tracks are.
It’s not SX without the Whoops and Dragonbacks
Make it like speedway, absolutely NO BRAKES.
If every one was on a 2 stroke they would have to bring back 2 stroke classes
That middle ground is going to be very hard to recognize at this point in regards to the technology and the accessibility or those "benefits" to each rider and team. I don't think it would happen.
The only way the money and marketers could allow it would be with a separate series, which would be detrimental to their current programs and directions.
And yes. Bring back. 250 2 strokes. Asap
Look what they did in golf when the equipment made the courses shorter. They limited the golf ball and driver performance. In supercross, they need to shrink the displacement. That will help drive technology.
Ive always thought its interesting that "dirt bike" racing has grate starts. Go back to dirt, production motorcycles only. bring back whoops.
outgrown
450s not 450's
Apostrophe is used to show ownership. 450's what?
Yes, dirt starts. Yes, whoops.
Easy solution-bring back open class and allow E-bikes to line up 👍🏻 if you want excitement, that’s the future 💯
Take away launch control, fork lock outs and start grates for a start
I’m sure they could make a 500 2 stroke that would rip.
The smell of 2 stroke oil and sound in stadium..braasaaaap
The way to bring it back into line - is remove any other electronic aids for the bikes along with grates for start.... HP is what it is, but electronic aids are not rewarding the most skilled if your not on the team with the best programmers and electronics your at a disadvantage.... remove TC, Holeshot, Wheelie ect ect.... thats really the balance that needs to be brought in as from top10 top 20th can bring the pack right back closer and more even.... remove the electronics we didnt have it through the best years of racing
If qualify for a supercross in 21st position your still one of the fastest in the country.
The two strokes AREN'T BEING ALLOWED TO COME BACK !
🤬 EPA & AMA
NOT that they're not coming back
let's face it the two strokes are the true and only answer to the Supercross too much power problem ...
bring back the two strokes and especially the 500cc two stroke
Outdoor nationals 😎💪🤙
Eff the EPA. Those effers are like Nazi brown coats.
☝🏾
300cc 2 strokes bridge the gap between old 2 strokes and modern 450's, at least in the way power is made.
2 strokes should come back, and it should be an AMA 300cc Pro MX class.
Worst part is that there will be generations of people that will never get a chance to ride a 2 stroke.
350
Imo pro class should be stock motors. Yeah do suspension that's fine but don't touch the motor. These`24/`25 450s have PLENTY of power
We have to be able to separate the skill level in riders, but you can't when everyone is on a Cadillac of a 450 and can do the same obstacles even if they are not a relevant rider....
Drop the 450 down to 350. Angle the start grid best to worst qualify
outgrown*
If you want a 2 stroke race …. Put up a 50,000 purse
@@SHADYxx178 I heard plenty of interviews from top riders seeking more power over stock for SX in the past few years.
Why did dirt starts going away LAZYNESS
Less suspension travel. Six, eight inches.
The guys on 450s don’t send it that much harder than guys on the 250s either so why not go back to 125 and 250
350 is the answer, and drop the weight minimum or the bike down to 180lbs! Too heavy too fast. Remove ALL electronics and start devices!
Hate saying this but we might be like nascar soon when everyone's on electric bikes. I don't want that but feel like it's coming
The 350 argument has never made sense to me. You already have a slower, lighter and cheaper bike legal in the class and that's the 250 two stroke
No more scoops sx
....or anywhere.....they did get banned in the late 70s
I know its not base ball but In Pro MLB aluminum bats are not allowed because they're superior to wood bats.
In MX/SX 4 strokes are superior to 2 strokes but they're allowed to race on the superior platform.
I say the true capabilities and talents of an athlete are always displayed more on the inferior equipment, its better for the sport and the manufacturers sell more bikes. But thats just my opinion 🤷🏾.
Bring back dirt starts let guys dig there own gate
Football is a shit example dude. They have added so many rules for player safety. Just watch old clips and see how brutal those tackles used to be
Dirt starts, no starting devices, no slipper clutches and bikes straight off the show room floor with stock motors and no mapping or tunes.
Absolutely go 350’s. Yamaha is so far behind the power curve on the release of a 350. I heard they are in the process of working on one though. Duff you should know. Can’t believe they are wasting the market since it has been KTM’s best selling bike for years.
