- On 9 August 1997, Diana, Princess of Wales travelled to Dobrinja in Bosnia and Herzegovina to meet a group of landmine victims. The visits were part of the princess' anti-landmine campaign, which saw Diana working with charities and victim support groups across a region ravaged by the violent breakup of Yugoslavia. At the time of the Dobrinja visit, which occurred just three weeks before Diana's death on 31 August 1997, the princess' relationship with Dodi Fayed was the subject of intense media speculation. One Sunday newspaper had confirmed that it had bought photographs of the pair together on the Fayed family yacht.

@@MatthewHarris-po4pl Thanks for the neat transfer! I've commented on other vids about how clean the footage is too, I geek out at old footage looking clean. If you have any power of persuasion could you ask ITN to start uploading in the native frames per second where possible 50/60fps? Just for that extra authentic touch

I remember Harry seeing these kids grown up and he said how they saw her more recently than he and William did. That broke my heart a little when he said that! The poor boys didn’t see enough of Diana. They were forced to spend half their time with Charles and the rest at boarding school. I’m surprised Diana sent her sons to boarding school to be honest as I thought she would be the mother that wants her to be with her kids 24/7. But I guess the establishment and Charles forced her decision.
I don't think she was forced, we saw clearly that she had a mind of her own and independence, she was most probably happy with them going to boarding school

She chose to be apart from her sons. She wanted them to be brought up within the royal family and live that life style. You ppl are to harsh on Charles. Diana knew what she was doing and the games for publicity she played. Not saying she didn’t care about others, she did! But there was also a negative side of her.
Diana EXPECTED Charles to be faithful. Remember there were 3 people in that marriage. Hence Queen consort Camilla.
