Richie Sambora has always been one of my favorites. I never considered Bon Jovi to just be Jon's band, so much as a partnership between Jon and Richie. It kind of hurt me when Richie left. I'd dearly love to see them get back together and tour again. Good reaction, guys!
As a fan for 35yrs i agree that Richie is underappreciated. I think being in Bon Jovi is partly the issue at the end of the 80s they became very unfashionable in the media and the rock/metal world the band they all loved to hate. They were regularly bought up to be everything about the 80s that the grunge scene hated. Richie is a great guitarist, Tico is a great drummer, David a great keyboard player but they never get mentioned any 'best of' listing. Not a coincidence in my opion.
*Those days in 1995 when Bon Jovi kicked Michael Jackson from the #1 spot in the charts.....those days when Richie Sambora was still in the band, but since he's out,....the train rides into nowhere ......Tico "Hitman" Torres on the drums......"Keep The Faith" was my intro-album to Bon Jovi......back in the days....*

Great to see someone reacting to this amazing song. One of their best tunes. I would say its possibly their bohemian rhapsody even. Sadly most folks dont hear this one, just the classics like living on a prayer.
Richie Sambora's guitar solos from this video (taken at Wembley Stadium) are legendary. He is the most underrated guitarist on the planet. A true genius. Great review guys, you are fucking awesome.
You are so right. Bon Jovi has been my fav. Before that it was Journey and the Scorpions. I'm very partial to journey because Steve Perry and I grew up in the same small country area. We But the schools were very close together. He always says hes from Hanford but when he is actually from Lamoore. I grew up 15-20 mins away . Steve's family were farmers my family were farmers we all lived in a farm area I also went to school with his cousins my brother used to date one of his cousins almost all through high school. But Bon Jovi will always be my favorite. Even though hes lost his voice Nothing can compare to his old music.
I was at that concert and it was the best day of my life. So glad you really liked it and appreciated it for what it is. It’s an awesome song. I’ve seen so many versions of it live n they are all awesome.
You reacted to my favorite Bon Jovi song. I became a fan 30 years ago (when I was 13), and even when I started to listen to a lot of heavier stuff (Rammstein, Metallica, etc). they stayed the softest of my favorite bands for many years. The last albums really went too soft and mainstream for my taste, but I'll always love the first round about 25 years of their music and I'll always love Jon's voice, David's piano playing ( he studied at Juilliard School of music), Richie's solos and voice (maybe check out Father Time from his solo album) and Tico Torres is just a cool dude who worked with Chuck Berry and Miles Davis, is an artist/painter with exhibitions and has a children clothing label (Rock Star Baby). Sorry for rambeling! I'm just so hyped to hear a reaction to this song 🙈😅 Greetings from Germany!
I remember that great concert i was fortunate to be there bon Jovi kicked ass for sure this is a total classic performance im pleased you guys appreciate great music yes indeed 🙌 👍
Hearing these songs on the album, I think, man, this guitarist just brings so much passion to the song. But seeing it live, you can SEE the passion he has!!! Amazing!!!
So refreshing to see someone react to this. I've rated the guitar solo in my top ten of all time since the first day I heard it back in '92, but when I mention it to people, they just stare blankly. Sambora is so underrated. I think perhaps this whole album got a little overlooked by people who thought they'd gone a bit commercial in the new decade. Well it's their loss, it's a great album. Actually my favourite track on it is "Save a Prayer", but it was only on UK and Japanese editions for some stupid reason.
It may have been in all European editions? I remember a radio interview in my country (Spain) when Keep the Faith came out. The journalist stated that it was his favourite song in the album and inquired how come it was a bonus track. Jon Bon Jovi was very surprised and seemed to open up, he said in fact it was his favourite as well and he had fought to have it in the album but the idea got no traction. He only was able to get it in as a bonus track in overseas editions.
@@pedroteran5885 Very interesting. It does make me wonder what the people with the power to decide these things are thinking. Seems like it would widely be considered one of the best tracks on the album, if only everyone got to hear it.
This was the night Bob Geldof joined them on stage to play I don't like Mondays as it was almost 10 years to the day since Live aid at Wembley. This solo is Richies best ever and this is his best performance of it. I was there that night and will always remember it

Best song on `Keep The Faith`. Richie Sambora is one of the worlds` most underrated guitarists.
