They were the LAST band to play at the old Wembley stadium before they knocked it down and rebuilt it. And Jon even has a small section of seating from it.
this concert was released on VHS in 95. I had bought it.. My mom stole it though.. I thought it was cute that she had a "thing" for Jonny.. She always did though.. My parents were hardcore church conservative parents and when I was a kid in the 80's I ate it all up. My parents were against hard rock and metal.. till my mom walked by and saw Jon on Mtv in the you you give love a bad name video and saw him smiling.. she was a Bon Jovi fan after that. She come in and "borrow" my bon jovi albums.. but because I let her borrow my bon jovi albums, she was ok w/ me having Dio, Maiden, Priest etc in my collection.. But, whenever I see or hear Bon Jovi I think of my mom..It's cool you put this video up today.. this was her favorite song of this VHS and she passed away exactly 5 years ago today so it was nice seeing this today.. Thank you.
What a flash back thanks for showing this. I was there along with 87000 fans. They sold out Wembley stadium 3 days in a row. And I was given a ticket for the last night. Which was recorded and was on national radio Live as well. Keep up the good work
This concert was at Wembley stadium and they sold out 3 nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. I got tickets for every night and they where on top form for the whole weekend. Not long after this tour they seemed to go down hill but back then they totally rocked.
THEM G kills it on selection every time. I’m not a big Bon Jovi fan but once I saw THEM G requested I had to watch it. And yes they did kill that song and I’ve heard that song hundreds of times.
Thanks Red_Rocker I appreciate it man. Does the name come from the red rocker himself Sammy Hagar cause I love Sammy Hagar era Van Halen and Chickenfoot.
Hi guys, nice choice and what a good memories! Normally it's usually to be my crew, who published the comments, but today I wanted to be me self, to talk about this song! I am Mário the CEO & Chairman of MGMEIA, hi all! Back in 1990 Bon Jovi, Dan Reed Network, and Living Colour, went to play in Cascais, Portugal, on "The New Jersey Syndicate Tour" for the album "New Jersey" and I've been there! In this song, in particular, "Lay Your Hands On Me", the opening song for this tour, we all thought that Jon Bon Jovi, would not make the entry as we saw, again and again on the TV video clip, in the Top 20 Portugal, and it was something unprecedented in Portugal, since 1985 with "Gold Ballads" from Scorpions, with "Still Loving You", to present the full video clip of an Heavy Metal band. But to our amazement, with the opening song for this tour, "Lay Your Hands On Me", Jon Bon Jovi, jumped under the stage at the same time of the explosion of fireworks, exactly as the video clip. It was absolute madness in the pavilion. A memorable concert, where Heavy Metal people for the first time, in Portugal, experienced something new, seeing people who did not belong to our world mixed with us, we are talking about 1990 and in Portugal, a country where Heavy Metal still´s "forbidden" in the media national news. Keep your nice work, and I'm sorry for my terrible English written. \m/
Saw them in erie pa. Veterans stadium jons grandmother lived up the street it was so loud omg i couldntbhear for 3 days after one of the loudest concerts i have ever been to and its been like 35 + concerts was outside to
How beautiful you are guys . 0'20" Look at your Smile Lady SuziQ ! Amaaaazing drums by Tico Torres ! Whaoo guys what sincopated bass drum patterns ! Good use of ghost notes eh ! Jon i like so much your attitude man ! Ah ! And guys the beginning has a strong African rythm to it , this is a sort of 'percussionism's thing' more than a typical standard drumming one in his influence but in my opinion it's good if they are strictly connected . Great instrumental parts for all duration of the song ! Super quality Keyboards Jon you are right 😛 . They seems inspired by the mighty and innovative John Lord by Deep Purple ! 'Unfortunately' i don't hear distinguishbly the bass line (in random parts i listen some notes) , although i appreciate it always and i am very gratefull that Suzi loves it ! Because i always appreciated it and interested in it...it is strictly connected to the drums ! Drums~Bass rythm section . 6'13" Travis John Bon Jovy imitates you and your Lady Wife ! (Eheh) 'What you'rgonnado ?!!' When he speaks i think i see you expression changing expecially Suzi 🏵 ah (but also Jon) . It's seems not distant from your accent for this expression ! 2'44" Great keyboard introduction to very technical bluesy patterns and at 2'47" the funky rythm starts . The bass drum is way more tasty and difficult than it seems and in fact Suzi recognizes the technicism ! Obviously Sir Travis is 'absobed by the atmosphere' and Jon is asking himself metrical questions ahah ! I know he has been a drummer ! 3'28" Stoaappi' 🥳 3'49" Uuuuaat ?! Whaoo Jon this piece is intricate ! Truly musicians 5'17" Tra tha Man . 5'19" Beautiful Creature Looking the Camera thanks to Travis Speach ! The Charisma !
Great performance & reaction. I will always love the original video w/clips from concerts and him popping up out of that stage! Of course he had to 'turn his voice down here', but.....he was still so fabulous! Thanks for the reaction!
I (living in East Germany) saw the Moscow peace concert on TV by chance. It was broadcast by Soviet television on a frequency unknown to me for the soldiers stationed. I had just started the channel search of the TV when a live concert of Bon Jovi fluttered towards me. 😯Not in optimal quality, because only room antenna but it was BJ.😁😍 It was like July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas fell on one day for me if I would be an american.
Ahhh, remember when people actually WATCHED live shows. Not looking through their phones so they could post their unwatchable garbage up on UA-cam. It's why I love that Rammstein doesn't do video screens at their shows. They want the crowd watching the STAGE.
This was a great time for music lovers. I remember that it was concerts every weekend. Didn't matter what Genre, as long as they were good. Those stadium shows were easliy 30-60k in attendance. They would all sold out. Willie and waylon, Led Zepplin, Eagles, and so many others ....
It’s funny you say you would think Jon is the fun guy at a party. He’s actually not like that, he’s very intense and would prefer a great conversation over a glass of wine over going to a party. He’s driven, a perfectionist and is always striving to do more. He is a really nice guy but not as outgoing as he appears on stage. His stage is his party and he invites us all in. Now Dave is the outgoing one, along with Richie. Tico probably wouldn’t bother to show. 😁
Not a mistake. Amazing bill. Van Halen is obviously legendary, but Jovi, known for being a top notch live act anyhow, was on top of their game here. No mistake, just an awesome bill! 🤘🤘
pls, Strapping young lad - Shitstorm or detox . I´v been requesting it for months, you wont be disappointed and is the heaviest thing you w will ever hear from devin
Richie Sambora ( lead guitar ) has a better voice than Jon they should've wrote some songs with him as the lead singer..... just check out the acoustic version of Wanted Dead or Alive and you will see Richie outperform Jon ! Bon Jovi had a good run maybe 10 years when they were solid but I saw them with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in the early 90's and Tom and the boys showed the youngsters how it should be done !
And NO Cellphone anywhere....Love IT
They were the LAST band to play at the old Wembley stadium before they knocked it down and rebuilt it. And Jon even has a small section of seating from it.
Always great live!!! Saw them three times. When Ritchie left the band it wasn't the same. Haven't listened since.
You have to watch “Always” from this same show it is an epic performance.
I agree!
Agree! I feel like it might be one of their best. And yes, I know that's saying a lot.
Definitely, best performance from the entire concert
Check out Moriah Formica's cover of Always!! The absolute best cover out.
One of the best performances by Richie emotionally I have ever seen
this concert was released on VHS in 95. I had bought it.. My mom stole it though.. I thought it was cute that she had a "thing" for Jonny.. She always did though.. ❤ and 🖤
Nice story and hell of a good trade you did with ur Mom... May her soul rock in peace with Dio, Lemmy, SRV and all the good ones who left us too soon
Best time ever for concerts. Everyone into it. Reasonable ticket prices and NO MOBILE PHONES. Great reaction.
I was there 82000 people at Wembley Stadium amazing show
Me too 😀🤘
Is that the time they did I don’t like Mondays with Bob Geldolf?
@@thomasskeffington4539 yes it was
Only I think on the last of 3 nights the night I went it didn't happen they did s cover of rocking all over the world instead if I remember correctly
@@timspeakman4555 yeah it was on the 3rd night which was the night i went. I believe the concert was filmed over multiple nights then edited together
Tico was underrated as a drummer but David Bryan ( Keyboardist has three Tony Awards) for writing Broadway plays
Tico the hitman Torres is the man, got me started on the drums...
Tico was a god on the drums!
*One of the best live-videoclips to show what fun they had. RICHIE SAMBORA Doubleneck-Action!!*
🎵🎸🥁🎹🎸📢🌟🎵🔊🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘😎👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was privileged to be there at this concert ...... phenomenal!!!!
Ladies and gentlemen ... Ritchie Sambora !!!🤘🤘
Great reaction. Just got to add that I was actually at that concert. What a day.
What a flash back thanks for showing this. I was there along with 87000 fans. They sold out Wembley stadium 3 days in a row. And I was given a ticket for the last night. Which was recorded and was on national radio Live as well. Keep up the good work
Y'all picked a WINNER here. EPIC.

He is amazing person I was lucky enough to meet him and the band and be in one of his music videos!!! Their concerts are epic!

absolutely loved this reaction!!!! y’all have to check out their performance of “Hey God” live from London 1995!!! it’s absolutely epic!!
I like the video when Jon shoots up from under the stage. So cool.
That was 1988 😊

They headlined Wembley 3 nights in a row, they have said it was the highlight of their career at the time.
Michael Jackson did seven nights. Legendary British pop band Take That did eight back in 2010.
Bon Jovi has done 13 consecutive at O2. He loves London, Tokyo, NYC and of course home of the NY Giants, Giants Stadium in NJ.
Great performance & reaction. I will always love the original video w/clips from concerts and him popping up out of that stage! Of course he had to 'turn his voice down here', but.....he was still so fabulous!
Thanks for the reaction!
You should watch the video for the song.......you should also watch them perform blood on blood live at the Moscow music peace festival
I (living in East Germany) saw the Moscow peace concert on TV by chance. It was broadcast by Soviet television on a frequency unknown to me for the soldiers stationed. Ahhh, remember when people actually WATCHED live shows. Not looking through their phones so they could post their unwatchable garbage up on UA-cam.
It's why I love that Rammstein doesn't do video screens at their shows. They want the crowd watching the STAGE.
Awesome, can't wait till we can see live music again!
One of the best reactions I’ve watched in a long, long time! Great work!!!
Guys thanks for another great reaction. I love it how your background colors change to suit the video.

It’s funny you say you would think Jon is the fun guy at a party. He’s actually not like that, he’s very intense and would prefer a great conversation over a glass of wine over going to a party. I was at this concert, bon jovi made the big mistake of having van Halen as the support act, and they where phenomenal live.
Not a mistake. Amazing bill. Van Halen is obviously legendary, but Jovi, known for being a top notch live act anyhow, was on top of their game here.
No mistake, just an awesome bill! 🤘🤘
