Legit though. Been arrested on supposed dui (never charged, blew zero) after a crash, and had my personal 45 on me open carry in a holster loaded, it was a super easy thing, being disarmed and everything, even given a ride home and my handgun back after being taken for a breathalyzer.

in my state its only relevant if the phone is locked. locked items including lockscreens need a warrant. this also means they cant legally use your face ID or print without your permission. im not aware if it includes streams as recordings but im referring to if your phone was evidence in a crime of some kind then they can actually search through it if its not locked.

I have a friend who was struggling so hard with drugs and street life, that he walked up and cracked a cop in the face (pulled his punch because he didn’t actually want to hurt him), so he could get clean, food and a place to sleep.
Some people need structure and to have their own decisions taken from them so badly, that the awfulness of prison/jail, is actually a gift.
You should always record police interactions to protect yourself, although in this situation he just made himself look like a clown.
