    This one hurt. So her judgement was impaired and she's unable to give consent because she's drunk and she felt obligated to pay back for the drinks and the 2,4k. She said "this is the most money I've ever seen" iirc, he had noticed she's not too well off herself so he used that to his advantage as well, to seem like a good man, a great chap, now give us a kiss.
    What's more fucked up is she told him she's a victim of human trafficking and he used that trauma to his advantage without a second thought. A non predatory person would've 1) stopped talking to her when he realized she was drunk out of her mind, 2) not bought her drinks because she's already fucked up, 3) stopped talking about sex or making moves on her when she told him she's been systematically assaulted and sold, 4) most importantly not had sex with her in that compromised state but he did all of that. All of that.

    • @GerryRR

      @Link-vo5mp 2 місяці тому +8

      @@GerryRRWell, sadly speaking, this is how mania is. He definitely needs to be held accountable, but we have to also acknowledge that he was not on his right mind either. A person in a manic episode is actually quite impaired, you could argue even more so than a drunk person. People can jump out of windows believing they can fly. This guy needed to be hospitalized until his mood stabilized. So while you could argue that when a Schizophrenic person does something horrible because they genuinely believe they are in danger, it is not the same as a sober person that is not manic.

      I have an uncle who did a lot of hard drugs when he was younger and it must have caught up to him. He was always eccentric and weird but nothing to really note, but one day he disappears and just doesn’t come home, eventually the police get a report of his car on a farm. They go to investigate and he’s perfectly fine. He explains that he got a message from God that the woman who owns the farm is dead and that he needs to take care of her horses. None of this is remotely true the lady that owns the farm went on vacation and the person who reported the car was the person routinely checking on the horses. This. From someone who has dated a bipolar person we have to realize bipolar people just simply don't have the same mind as us. They will start to deny their diagnosis, stop taking their meds, and do extremely harmful, damaging things that could ruin their life. They need actual help and people supporting them at a time like this. In my honest opinion they shouldn't have a side that encourages them, and they also shouldn't have a side that tries to find logic behind their behavior. They literally just need mental help.

    My brother dealt with BP before getting treatment, and watching Fousey's downward spiral sort of triggered past memories. The pain of the inner monologue fuels the need for attention as a social distraction to their thoughts. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad attention. The worst thing for them is to deal with those thoughts while alone. While alone, they must contend with the shame, regret, and depression of their actions while in an episode. Those feelings fuel the next episode. A never ending cycle of personal pain and regret.

    I have bipolar disorder, and people with bipolar tend to sometimes go off their meds. It's not a good choice, but it's common. When you're used to feeling emotions like a bipolar person, feeling emotions like everyone else feels like you're feeling nothing. It's not at all an excuse for his behavior, especially the airport story. Rape is not a symptom of bipolar. Believing the troll dude is definitely a symptom of bipolar though. I appreciate the tactful way you covered this story. You are clearly very well informed in how mental illness works, and I loved you tearing into the people who thought the stream was entertaining. You were 100% correct that this is a manic episode, and telling him to go to bed is not gonna work because he simply can't. When you're manic, you can't sleep and you don't really need to.

    I have a friend that suffers from psychotic episodes due to childhood trauma, and all i can say is anyone actually making fun of it, has never experienced someone going through it, it's one of the worst things i've ever witnessed in my life. Seeing your mate literally not even believe you're real, think they're god, think they're being hunted down etc, is heartbreaking.

      yes i just commented something similar! my sister experiences manic episodes and during those i see her turn into a completely different person. the paranoia she experiences is absolutely heartbreaking, she becomes suspicious of even our mother. she installed cameras in her house after her last manic episode and i honestly fear for her safety because she is placed in such vulnerable positions. i agree completely, anybody who makes fun of people who are in these states have NEVER seen somebody they love in a manic state because there is nothing funny about these episodes

      He was a fucking wank before he started having breakdowns so I don’t feel sorry for him at all. I know multiple people with bpd and even off meds they don’t degrade into horrible people. Worrying that he’s allowed to drive and shit. I think some sort of institution is a good idea because he obviously doesn’t want to help himself.

    As a bipolar person, I see someone who has just started the healing process, but isn’t willing to recognise that he has a huge amount of work to go before his functioning levels are acceptable. He needs cognitive behavioural therapy, medication and stability. There no way you can have stability while you’re constantly live streaming. It took me 24 years to figure out how to cope with my mental health. I wish him the best

    Man...being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder I genuinely appreciate you calling it what it is. The stigma around manic episodes is insane. When you are manic you are right, you are completely assured in your correctness. You just need to try harder to make people realise how right you are. This was hard to watch, I hope the man can get the help he needs.

      @justheretocommentokdontwan685 for real. The instant he said he hadn't been taking his meds or sleeping it was obvious. I'm fortunate that I'm Bipolar 2, my mania is sleeplessness and overdrawn bank accounts mostly. But even just that has made my life harder than it should be. I can't imagine trying to handle swings that extreme on my own, being provoked. It's just sad...
