I would recommend purchasing an Exacto (and slicing away from your fingers).
Take it from experience, a slip and you'll be closing a nice cut with super glue.

Glad I could be of some help mate, my brushes are just whatever the cheapest fine tip miniature brushes Amazon have at the time, no specific brand or type

Since that brand of spray paint isn’t sold in the U.S what other brand do you recommend?
Unfortunately I have only tried 2 brands for my primers. These (Hycote) and Army Painter, please do not use Army Painter as they apply really bad to any of the base bodies and 3d printed parts and I've tried a few colours with this brand and they all work equally as bad. But as for recommending another brand I personally cant say as I've only tried these 2. Krylon is a good brand you could try them but I've only tried their Matte clear coat nothing else so take that as you will :D
What type of paint are these wear marks on the clone armor made of?

I'd love to see you try a phase 1 commander Bly. I've been wanting to tackle it myself, and have all the pieces. I just can't wrap my head around the right shade of yellow for the armour and tanish brown for the kama.
Bly is one custom I've yet to make yet so most likely he'll be on my list for upcoming commissions or in my spare time for sure
@@bebbart great! Thanks for letting me know. I got the knock off clone with the binoculars and pauldron for plain white trooper, and a kama from the "Fordo" trooper. I'm hoping mine comes out even half as good as yours will be.

Question. Why do you print the helmet? Can’t you use the original one and just re-paint it?
I could but I don't like the original helmet at all it's warped and doesn't resemble either live action, RotS or animated at all so the 3d printed helmet is so much cleaner and accurate imo
Hello there. Bebb's art. What do you recommend to properly sand the parts with? Just so I don't use anything too strong! Some of the pieces look good enough to just prime correct me if i'm wrong, i'm no expert?! Thank you. (Great, cool customs and vids!)
Hi bud, I think it's 150 grit sandpaper I use, you're correct sometimes some prints some out super clean and there's never need to sand them imo but most of the time you'll at least need to do a light sand over the parts
Fantastic video and model!! Your freehanding is incredible, especially if this isn't up to your usual standards. The only thing I'd say that isn't glowing praise is that your audio is maybe a touch quiet in comparison to the music

0:43 my man, you need to get rid of those utility blades and get yourself a hobby knife! I got one from Tamiya for $12 that comes with 25 tiny blades, I’ve had the same set for years now, so very durable. I mainly say this because its more comfortable and safer to use, I think you’ll love it lol
Ive had a lot of messages about this :D. I've personally tried a bunch of different versions of hobby blades before and no matter what theres always issues, either i cant get enough pressure to cut/slice with the handle, the handles break with too much pressure or theyre too big that i cant get into tiny areas. ill for sure try some more out at some point but these have done me proud for years now but i appreciate you looking out for my safety. I may buy a pair just so i can show people what to buy so they dont use the same equipment as me and risk hurting themseleves.
@@bebbart i get ya bro, work with what you are used to and best with. I still think the little Tamiya knife would be a game changer for you since we have somewhat of a similar painting style. Their blades are from OLFA too, so they’re sharp and cut like butter lol

You have a great hand. Wow what’s the trick with plastic container with sponge and paper towel
It's a wet pallet, it just prevents your paint from drying up

So why do you have the paints on the watered down sponge? And how much water should I put on the sponge
The box with the sponges is a wet pallete it keeps your paints moisturised for long periods of time so it doesnt dry out and also allows you to thin your paints to get a nice thin application of paint, one of the best pieces of equipment for any painter imo
I am wondering what kind of glue you are using to put all the part back together? And btw I am so amazed by your hand painting skills, did you use any masking tape when painting straight lines??
I use loctite super glue gel as a personal preference. As for masking the only thing I ever mask is kamas so the paint doesnt bleed over the fabric, I may mask the bases in the future due to how large they are for ease but I didnt for this one.
What paint brush you use ?
I use fine tip paint brushes from amazon, just whatever is cheapest at the time as they work just as well imo and last just as long if looked after well.
So you use the primer as your main color right?
Yeah my primer does 2 jobs, acts as the base coat and makes any hand painted area adhere better
Does the paint need to be wet to scrape away the excess?
Nope, the paint is better left to dry fully before scraping away, scraping away wet paint will just smudge it along the figure and you kinda don't want that

Would you do phase 1 clone trooper classes? Like the phase 1 clone trooper infantry, the phase 1 clone engineer, the phase 1 clone sharpshooter, the phase 1 clone jet trooper, the phase 1 clone heavy trooper, and the phase 1 clone commander
I sure could, they're pretty simple customs though so it's probably a reason why I haven't been commissioned them yet as most people can make them themselves but I'd love to make some

Is it possible with vintage collection clones?
Yup, I've made a 3.75 inch clone that is similar to the clone pilot video I made so it would definitely work for a 501st

yes thats correct and technically again on their new mold with the new "commander Appo" release but I'm not a fan of any Hasbro offical clones, theyre always lacking something

@@PteranoLiv yes its in the "Kenobi" packaging one of the newer black series out, its just the 501st markings on the new body mold, no arrow on his helmet like his clone wars appearance
