Glad to have a proper army building 2-pack! Wish the droid had _a bit_ more paint but it should be fine. I'm just gonna apply a wash and/or panel line it. Luckily, I have the stuff for that already, so I don't have to buy anything. Wish the discount for the 2-pack was nicer (here in Australia, you're basically just buying two figures), but at least it's easy to get.
A little more paint would have definitely been nice, I agree. I’m just glad I already planned on customizing these so it won’t be a huge deal. I’m going to turn the B1s into the blue and red ranks that we don’t have in the line. Thanks for watching! -Nate

I have something to admit!! 😮😮 I've just watched "The Pants Menage" after the furore of hearing everyone going to the cinema again to see it... I don't think I've seen it in maybe 15-20 years since being bitterly disappointed by it upon it's original release 25 years ago, and I really enjoyed it!! 😮😮 You could knock me down with a feather duster!! I'm genuinely surprised by this turn of events...

Many in their ignorance and anger turned on Master George Lucas, betrayed he felt. So moved on he did, and the precious Star Wars was sold to the Evil Corporation called Disney.
Once, long ago the Disney corporation, a better place it was. Boys were boys and girls were girls, happiness and families were priorities. Now, a dead husk is all that remains. The Evil is everywhere at the house of Disney. When you look at a princess and you see his mustache, evil is all that remains, question it do not.

I'm not happy with the distribution of these 2-pacs...😢 There was a time when ootb would review stuff and I would jeer and throw electronic rotten tomatoes at you and shout "I've had this shit so long it's gone yellow in the sunlight!" or "I've had this shit so long I've had to dust it twice... and I only dust once every 2 years!!" 😅😅😅 To be honest, I much preferred that!! 😂

Of course nobody cared about that series after the third movie anyways. Of course in this day of Hollywood being too scared to do something new, I'm sure someone is dusting that series off getting ready for another Hollywood flop. LoL 🤣
I definitely should have passed on this one. Got it because I wanted the clone and droid, but annoyed because I didn't realise they're meant to be army builders and the B1 is such a pain in the ass to stand up and pose. It's very flimsy, so the tiniest tap will send it sprawling. Not very thrilled.

Great review Nate, just got these guys in hand. Love sets like this because it’s how I can justify army building without buying multiple of the same figure: it’s technically a new release lol! The B1 does look plain without any paint, but I kinda dig it. Like you said, right off the factory. As for the clone, I much prefer the painted chest armor and matte face without the 5’o clock shadow of this one, but the helmet of the other, so I’ll be swapping helmets to get the best of both worlds.

@@davidedge2828 David if you want your collection to hold value, you'd have to keep them sealed in packaging to have the mostly value they can.
I've been rebicycling my packages for over half a year, of course I still have at least 70% of my figures still in original boxes because I need to make room and organize my collection. This might take another 10 years especially because I keep buying new figures I want.
I'm going to dust the figures and re-tape the boxes if I'm ever forced to sell them!! 😅
@@davidedge2828 My open boxes were thrown out during my back room half hearted cleansing.(Recycled) So mine are forever loose, never to know the security of being boxed again.
I personally think the helmet on the clone from the 2 looks better with the thicker brow but that’s just my opinion

I honestly prefer the thicker brow as it makes it look less like a cartoon and more like the live action version. I just wish they’d stick to an aesthetic instead of blending the two.

I don’t get what the problem is with the five o’clock shadow.. aren’t clones free to style themselves to their personal preference? Also, if you’re out on a missions for days or weeks at a time, are clones realistically getting clean shaven everyday?
Lol dude it's not the fact that clones have facial hair, it's the execution of the paint on the figure. It's very poor quality. -Justin
I never saw it as a problem but to each their own - I’ve definitely heard a lot of bashing it recently with the 332nd & this 2 pack.
I passed on these, as I don't think there is enough of an upgrade too justify the purchase, also not much of an army builder.

Great review of a great set! After getting this pack and seeing Phantom Menace in theaters over the weekend, this version of the B1 seems closer in appearance to how they show up in that movie in both color and wear.

Surprised nobody pointed out that the clone trooper in the 2 pack has a 2020 helmet and a 2023 body. You can see it best at 3:35 in the video. Compare it with the galaxy box 187th clone.
I actually think it’s a new sculpt and not actually the 2020 or the original 2023. There are very subtle differences between them. The purple 187th, 332nd and this 2 pack one all have this new helmet. Thanks for watching! -Nate
