I personally prefer soft goods when done well but the Ventress looks 100 times better 👌👌👌

Hello Luke I remember quite a few of those weathering videos you have posted over the past year.
I know you don't like soft goods on this scale of figures, but sometimes it turns out good. I like them most times.
Custom heads look really good, but I just use the standard heads on my figures.

I will be your campaign manager against soft goods. Soft goods lose so much detail and never sit right.
I think they can work great for capes, otherwise they end up looking like someone went down to the craft store, bought the cheapest piece of scrap fabric and just stuck it on there

I watch everyone; OOTB, Mike K, Fwoosh, etc...I wished to start a black series channel (because my custom work is killer) a year ago, but you have all the charm I was hoping to accomplish. Love all your custom figures, Luke! Makes for a very unique collection, especially since you’re not a fan of soft goods.
I feel like I go a little too far with dark washing sometimes but overall I think it makes the figure look way better than the original only started dry brushing as a technique
If you go to far, play with highlights like silver and white and the figure will brighten back up
Great point about the closed hands.
I almost agree completely about soft goods. They rarely look good, but I think it's down to the selected material. It's cheap and not really executed great. The material used for cleaning lenses/glasses seem to behave a little "heavier" so I think that would be a great substitute. Unfortunately I have little skills in sewing, otherwise I would have switched all soft goods and plastic capes/cloaks etc out.
I enjoyed the run through of your customs. I think the Assaj Ventress is my favorite, along with some of the incredible head swaps. I agree on the Ahsoka sculpt. I was blown away by the accuracy of that black series figure. Thanks for all of your posts. I appreciate what you do.

I think I saw in one of your videos the Tantive IV Diorama and you had managed to make a Rebel Fleet Trooper, but an officer with a brown leather jacket. I can't seem to find the video again though. It was probably a small clip/shot in some other video, so it's hard to find without browsing through all your videos. Do you know which video it was in, or any chance you could make a video of how you made that modification, what characters used, a well as showing off the whole Tantive IV Diorama?
Some of my favorite customs are made from simple head swaps. Great stuff here.
Had a great idea for a custom I would love to see you do. Hoth Chewbacca from his scene with Han destroying the probe droid! I want to attempt this myself but don't know the proper applications

Soooo. You like statues? Just buy statues instead of replacing flexible soft goods with fixed plastic capes and outerwear. These are action figures. Why remove the "action" elements from them? Seems like the inevitable conclusion to this descent into madness.
