Such an unbelievable sight. I only wish I could go back to 1984. Such a wonderful president, such a great America. God bless America
Yes, let’s go back to the era when the threat of nuclear annihilation was constantly in the back of our minds.
He. Was. The. Best. President. Of. The. United. States. Of. America. We still. Loving. You. R. I p
Absolutely
@@AroundTheWorldWithEase Well snowflake genius were living that now way more than the 80s thanks to your so called president lying crooked joe. Soyboy!!!
The greet and joy between Mrs. Thatcher and the Reagans was so authentic. You could tell they were truly happy to meet again.

Ronald Reagan was in my opinion one of the best presidents we ever had.
The absolute height of American and British prestige and power. A sight to behold. God Bless the UK and the USA
Every time I see a video of President Reagan, I begin to cry.. What a great man for a time in our country when we needed one most...
I love Ronald Reagan miss him in my opinion his was the best President American had.
Yes and him and Margaret Thatcher - 2 peas in a pod.
I wholeheartedly agree!!
When we had RR, he was perfect for the time. 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍💕💕
Liz Pitula Yes GB was greatly blessed back then
I remember how secure I felt as a young person when Reagan was president. He knew how to delegate to others. And he had such a wonderful sense of humor. I found that having a sense of humor has helped me stay alive.
That’s because both Reagan and Trump used Roosevelt’s strategy: “Walk softly, and carry a big stick.”
Trump was a idiot with PUTIN and XI Reagan would have told them where to go , or else he didn't play any games those two leaders are going too start W.W.III ENOUGH SAID
I too, felt like the country was in good hands. I was a month short of being old enough to vote from the first term. But, I did the second.
Never has the "special relationship" been as strong as it was when President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher were leading their nations.
Cold War , arm race , Soviet Union collapse, fall or Berlin Wall. We owe him a lot for his services to our country
He would be saddened by todays divide

we need another ronald reagan
Ronald Reagan and Margret Thatcher, two amazing leaders!
Ronnie yeah Maggie No way, Churchill yeah
They were amazing together.
She thought she was better than the queen....big mistake
Tears of pride are streaming, just as they did on that day. Will the USA and GB ever be that close again? A true golden age.
The elegance and style which will never be seen again...
President Reagan, we owe you so much!!! You will always be in our hearts.
RIP RONALD REAGAN AND MARGARET THATCHER: TWO GREAT LEADERS.
Ronald Reagan my favourite US president and Margaret Thatcher one of my favourite prime ministers in history alongside Queen Elizabeth ii such a fantastic moment in 20th century history
Totally agree. You have just summed up the 3 most important people of a generation and glad Elizabeth is enjoying her Jubilee this year. She's such an amazing woman and her sense of duty never waivers. We owe her a lot.
American and British friendship will never end
I feel privileged to have been alive when these 2 great leaders led the world .
Its sad that the world is in a darker , more chaotic place today
Same. I was born during both their times in office.
@@brianrunyon266 Me too
Both Reagan and Thatcher were the best leaders the world has ever had. They're greatly missed.
President Regan rushed to PM. He didn't want her waiting too long. Such a gentleman.
Happier times with my beloved Mrs T and the gipper!! May they both Rest In Peace!!❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇷🇺🇷🇺
It's always an immense honor to have another nation play our national anthem. In this case, hearing it from the UK, it's really special.
(After 9/11, our American anthem was played at Buckingham Palace. I cry every time I watch the footage.)
God bless our, now, sister country: The United Kingdom. May God also bless Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
(Also, OUR Cabbage.)
;)
I thibk the USA needs to start repaying the respect equally, when other national anthems are played by the US military on official visits it is always lacking emotion then they belt out star spangled banner.
Back when our president had dignity and class, I so miss that! Invited to inspect the royal guards-awesome!
Amazing well respected and professional leaders, who showed the world how to be brilliant states men and women. Margaret Thatcher is an amazing lady, my hero of those times and the best Prime Minister the UK will ever have. RIP and God bless you Margaret.
She was an amazing leader. I wouldn't discount what Sir Winston Churchill did at PM... twice!
@@gruenpunkt Well said Chris, Winston was incredible and an absolute legend. It broke my heart when they were vandalising his statue in London. There are people and events in history which have to be sacred for our heritage and he's a giant in our history. Thank you Chris
Thank you to everyone for liking my post. Means a lot to me.
@@graemes7407 When giants walked amoungst us. And now the Queen is gone. God bless the President, the Prime Minister... and Her Majesty the Queen
@@robert8738 Happier days!
President Reagan could make friends with anyone, like him or not he was great at doing that, and so some of his policies show his friendly efforts. Miss him.
A United States President who knew how to respect the Flag of the United States ... standing at attention with right hand over his heart while our National Anthem was being played. Proud to say he was my Commander In Chief while I served in the United States Marines.
Is kneeling on one knee not a good way to respect your flag?
To the greatest leaders ever🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
God rest his beautiful soul.
To think that we fought for revolution against the British. And now with all of the history since then, especially fighting tyranny along side each other. Amazing history together
We had some great leaders back then....Wow!!!

Two great leaders.
THIS is when America and Great Britain were GREAT!
Cecil Brown. Yes but not according to trump. I don't know which America he wants to go back to. Hopefully an America where women can vote and an America where there is no segregation.
Yeah great. 2 senile old people leading them.

@Cecil Brown no, they're not! They have let liberals destroy their greatness
I was playing football with friends in Kensington Gardens when the US Motorcade drove past.
Best president ever
Good to see the most powerful person in the world at that time ....with Ronald Reagan ..
The Star Spangled Banner was written under fire from the British Navy. Always makes me smile to hear the British military bands play it.
The lyrics were written by Francis Scott Key , the tune already existed and was an English drinking song called "Sons of Anacreon"
How did we go
from this to where we are now?
So lovely, the reception and the smiley faces
Reagan is really a handsome guy.
yang be yeah he is too. And the White House tailor who fitted 8 presidents said “No one wears a suit like Ronald Reagan”.
@@lizpitula2471 OF COURSE. IF NOT HANDSOME HE WILL NOT BECOME HOLLYWOOD ACTOR. 😃😃😃

I would have like to have know Pres Reagan He seems like a top bloke
Makes me long for the days when we had a President we could be proud of.
The free world was in good hands then.
the only woman in politics who had bigger balls than a man. LEADERSHIP at his best!
Infinite glory to the glorious United States and freedom throughout América and the entire world forever.
Now that was a winning team!
So classy...and statesman/woman like they were...those days are so gone with the wind...
Too think, all in that guard of honour are old men now and Maggie and Ronnie have gone to kick arse in the after life.
RIP my Iron Lady. Still missed your eager , charismatic and your pride in Farkland War..
2 Great World leaders when the world was a better place wish we could regain what we have lost
As he said Mr.Gorbachow Please tear down the wall and it really happened the happiest moment in the history of East and West and the World ❤❤❤
They sure look great. What a welcome!
This view was probably outstanding to see the president in England with the England soldiers!
Song name played by the brass band?
Guard of honor by coldstream guards 💂🇬🇧
Those bearskin caps are cool.
Second to none
@TheRenaissanceman65 ... I don't believe he was referring to temperature. How would you know anyways? I highly doubt you're a guard.
@TheRenaissanceman65 Then state it more clearly next before you risk looking like an idiot. But it’s too late for the ladder.

Beautiful Times
@2:03 Who is President Reagan saluting? A foreign military?
I get quite a kick out of watching the Brits play the Star Spangled Banner. A song written to commemorate the bombardment of Fort McHenry by British ships of the Royal Navy in Baltimore Harbor during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812. The author, Francis Scott Key, was inspired by the large American flag, with 15 stars and 15 stripes, known as the Star-Spangled Banner, flying triumphantly above the fort during the American victory.
Bob Flendorg there both
Friends now. Too many
Enemies out there, need
To stick together.
The added irony is that the tune to those words that became the American Anthem was actually a Royal Navy drinking song ....
comfortableman - the song was originally called 'Anacreon in Heaven' and was written by the English organist John Stafford Smith sometime in the 1770s. It was used and abused by many people including the Royal Navy.
The full story is here:

It is sometimes difficult to remember that the last march wasn’t always the Monty Python theme.
I caught that! 😂
Now I need my memory jogged on both the actual name of the Monty Python piece and the tune played during the Guard of Honor inspection.
@@kah10161 It’s De Sousa’s Liberty Bell March. We had to look up the name, I could only recall it was De Sousa.
@@brontewcat John Philip Sousa, USMC. Well, one of the Pythons was a Yank, iirc.

Major General Sir James Ainsworth Campden Gabriel Eyre, (2 November 1930 - 3 January 2003)
A fine President, O for the old days.
What an oddball location for the PM to meet and greet, must of been for security reasons-
Those car doors look heavy somehow

That Marine looks sharp
Ofc he does, he's a Marine!
As an Air Force vet the Marine Uniform is the sharpest/best.
When the USA still had some honor and dignity.
Mucho protocolo mucha vanidad la grandeza del hombre está en la umindad
With all the shit going on now, it is only after I watched this again, am I so proud of being an American. Truly miss Reagan and thatcher, and the great era
Thanks for the comment. Glory days indeed, but people were too busy to appreciate it until it's gone. It cheers me up to see this and restores my pride in the special bond between UK and USA. Great to see them standing by Ukraine at this difficult time.
I was not a fan of Ronald Reagan's presidency, yet I know when the First Lady and he were representing us anywhere abroad, they did so with professionalism and dignity. They did not embarrass. I cannot write that about the current regime.
Buona serata

Whos was on presidents Reagans right. Was he USA or GB at 6:14
I'm ready for the Giant Monty Python Foot to come down at the end! Lol. Seriously though, God bless Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, the United States of America, the United Kingdom!
0:35 that's a Royal Military Police Officer opening the Presidential Limo door. I thought the Secret Service were the only ones allowed to do that?
The Iron Lady and the Gipper shared one pivotal trait - they believed EVERYONE could pull themselves up by their bootstraps . We suffer to this day from the gutting or complete elimination of mental health programs back then .

Salve, Viva e Vida longa a Monarquia Imperial Parlamentar e as Alianças Brasil!
A paz, o amor e a misericórdia de JESUS, MARIA, JOSÉ, os ANJOS e o SENHOR DEUS protejam, abençoe, ilumine e estejam convosco para sempre!
