@Ma x Never tasted reindeer meat, says the one who claims it to be the most expensive meat in Norway lol. Reindeer meat is fairly cheap in Norway. It cost under kr.100 for 400 grams of skavet Reinsdyrkjøtt, sold in just about any grocery store. Often on discount for 50-60 kr, barely more than minced beef. Perfect for pizza, taco, gyros, pasta etc, mix it with taco mix, some sauce or whatever you prefer and you have a simple, quick, cheap and delicious meal. When I'm in Norway I use reindeer meat several times a week... Stroganoff, viltgryte, finnbiff with mashed potatoes and pytt-i-panne are some other recipes I use reindeer meat for. It's perfect and it's cheap... So much you can use it for, make it the way you want it. I've almost replaced any other meat entirely with reindeer meat. Probably what I miss the most when I'm in Thailand.

As a Swede I missed seeing the part where Norwegians eat sandwiches for lunch
Hardly a sandwich, just bread butter and cheese
Btw. For anyone thinking that the Samis are indigenous to Norway. Norwegians were there before the Samis arrived from far away in Northern Russia. Norwegians are indigenous

Norway is a paradise on the earth,imagine live in a,cold place,beauty nature,fjords,beautiful people,but the food I don't know if is so yummy...hahaha
The food is delicious. My mother was born and raised there. Went in summer to visit my grandparents. All the food is great, so is yhe culture. Wish I had been older so I could have appreciated it better.
@@tinaneighbors1671 when I talk about the food,I mean about fish, because I don't like haha, but thanks to explain about the Norwegian food, maybe someday I visit there, thank you and stay safe
I've learned so much from the video..
I am always inpired with that yellow border!
Gordon’s narration was good
They’re such beautiful people
the sami are native to the ural mountains and not norwegian, swedish, or finnish. Norway and Sweden are named after their founding and native tribes, the Norse and Svea.
Everyone grossed out by that head should really try it. Best meat of the whole animal. It is considered a feast here.

I hope nobody thinks that we Norwegians eats sheepheads all the time because we dont. Many, many Norwegians can even go a lifetime without even tasting it.

Gordon pretended to like it , behind the camera stood a tall tatted Viking with a axe waiting for him to insult the food.

My family moved from Norway before I was born, so I've only had recreations of some food
I'm a Norwegian but when presented with a sheeps' head I politely said no.
Its very good. Its only estetics..
This is not a truth at the begining, fermented fish never came from the Sami. How could you bore through 100 meters of ice? very unlikely. Fermented fish is also salt and sugar? How much sugar did the sami have?
I live here in Norway

Dette kunne vært matkultur i norge, vikingmat. Har aldri vært snakket om!
Nice video. I didn't realize party of russian was so close.
Sami are always referred to as indigenous by PC TV and yet Germanic people never are, even though the Germanic populations have lived in Scandinavia longer. Ever noticed?
The Germanic tribes don`t exist anymore. And the definition of indigenous people are those who settled before the countries had borders, which is the Sami people.
@@kamillathorsholt201 "the definition of indigenous people are those who settled before the countries had borders, which is the Sami people." Did you just say that the Germanic people established the borders before they arrived to Scandinavia? Er, what, tell us how that would even be possible!🤦
@UCe2FvPKanurwFAXKU-ilj0A Omg no you idiot
@@kamillathorsholt201 What do you mean no? You wrote it as clear as day in your first post. He saw it. I saw it. Everyone reading your post saw it. Genius.
@@kamillathorsholt201 The Germanic peoples come from Southern Scandinavia, they arrived long before the concept of borders and nations were even a thing.
Best country in the world❤
I went to Hawaii a while back and I'm now upset that I didn't really get to try some Hawaiian cuisine. I did have eel sushi though…
Why is this short?
Norwegians are indigenous to Norway aswell you know.
Americans are immigrants too america you know😁
More indigenous than the sami. By the time the samis entered Scandinavia the Nordic Bronze Age was already at its height. And we know they explored and conquered all of Norway since we have found Bronze Age houses as far north as Tromsø. The sami are more accurately indigenous to Siberia in Russia.
I heard that they need to eat more fish..they used to eat a lot more fish..and it is great for brain function...that is why Norway is so enlightened...beautiful country.
